Only two of those actually exist as functional air craft. The felon is about as stealth as a super hornet, and while publicly they tried to play it straight the USN response to actually encountering j-20s with their plans and systems was essentially >LOL, LMAO even.
The only people with stealth capabilities are those paying the American MIC for the privilege. And thats how it will be for at least another 15 years.
The EU and the Anglosphere are the only two places on earth where life isn't a waking nightmare and death by some horrible infrastructure disaster or industrial accident comes as a gift. Anyone smart enough to work on a stealth plane does it here.
The EU struggles to make advanced jet fighters and missiles on their own. That's why its all partnerships and they still take an insanely long time to get it out or in the case of UCAVs the projects are outright failures.
only because there's a lack of funding and political will.
the industrial potential and know-how is there.
the EU doesn't build weapons, its constituent countries which all have a fairly small budget do.
You're not wrong, but I think it's worth mentioning that the US and UK play a part in EU's problems due to their MIC being known for poaching key people from EU defense industries.
Pretty sure that's the EUs fault
It was a Russian that theorised stealth planes, but we're not gonna blame America for the short sighted stupidity of Russian MIC
The EU is not a federation, just a strong treaty organization.
Weapons spending is either single country or a consortium. Imagine if the US military had to buy from state run companies with divergent interests. That’s Europe’s MIC.
only one country on the planet has had the benefit of developing low-detectability aircraft into maturity for decades on end.
Every other country, even the western ones, are hampered in the quest for modern stealth fighters by limited or nonexistant institutional experience and technological maturity.
Some western countries despite difficulties are making their attempts to break through the teething troubles of modern stealth aircraft development. Non-western countries are satisfying themselves by making stealth-*themed* aircraft that talk the talk and should never have to walk the walk.
Because the American MIC was fueled by a combination of genuine, then eventually “genuine” fear of the USSR, and was essentially given a blank check to do everything in their power to beat them technologically, materially, even psychologically. Our view into the USSR was hazy at best at the start, and we ran(still do) on the assumption that our enemies are just as competent as we are. What initial information we got out of Russia showed theyMIGHT be more advanced, we got incorrect design specs on shit like planes, PANICKED HARD, and then over compensated to the point we might as well be aliens in terms of the tech gap.it’s not AS much of a gap now, but given we essentially have wall hacks, spy satellites that can see that mole on your ass, and smart bullets, it’s still distinct.
.. that most industrial nations we like end up just buying our tech or basis their tech off our trends. (notice how we do something then our allies do it all like 10 years later?)
>why has it taken Amerimutts 40 years to copy European blueprints and hoe have they failred come up with anything innovative since operation paperclip ran out of papers to clip for the past 40 years
Good question Tyrone.
We maintained a 15 year gap on Russia's stated capabilities all throughout the cold war.
Turns out they were full of shit the entire time.
Everyone else sucks

you're moronic.

Yeah a merger between Dassault, Airbus and Saab would be amazing
>begin developing
Plenty began developing that long ago but either didn’t have the money, the technical expertise, or the need.
>stealth meme
>passive radar

Everyone else was either too backward or thought conventional wars are cringe so you don't need a hyper-modern stealth fighter to bomb desert hillmen.
America is the most powerful nation in the history of humanity and we have such tech lead on everyone in War.

Yeah, we do like our allies strong-ish

Because the other countries capable of that stopped spending 3.5-4% of their GDP on defense after 1990.
