How does one survive creeping barrages?

So the russians are advancing behind creeping barrages that are guided with drones in real time. If you are defending what do you do? If they pound your trench with arty until you're dead, how does one counter this tactic? I don't think they can hold any front like this. Do the Ukrainians need more artillery?

        >Ukraine is a far superior army, they are so much better than the Russian army
        >Only 16% of the territory occupied lol
Why don't they just take them? Why did they leave Mariupol to starve for an entire year then, if Russia is so incredibly shit and Ukraine is the best army in the world?

Only the biggest reddit tourists think Ukraine is anything but a second-rate second world army. But Russia was supposed to be the second greatest military in the world - this is embarrassing
Anyone who still thinks Russia is anything but a military zombie rotting in real time is a vatnik moron

Its like an arm wrestle, where the guy who cant hold on as long, starts to slip and lose strength slowly, and he's shouting "it will take you a month to touch the table and win at this rate! just give up!"

just leave before they get accurate fires on your position
or outrange their guns and hit them directly, since continuous fires leaves you vulnerable to counterbattery if the defenders have a range advantage

Russian artillery not heavy or accurate enough for the task, try naval guns instead

Drop artillery on the advancing infantry using your own drones for spotting. The creeping barrage doesn't help if the infantry whose advance it's supposed to cover is pinned down by an enemy barrage.

It's actually quite simple. If you anticipate an attack using this tactic, you zero all or the most prominent of your own positions with your artillery. Your defenders are instructed to hold their positions only as long as it's safe to retreat and no longer, the retreat to secondary defensive positions. The moment the enemy infantry reaches your old position, you start hammering them with artillery and counterattack from your secondary positions (obviously from a direction not through the creeping barrage, of course)

A creeping barrage requires large quantities of ammunition, as well as having your artillery remain rather static while keeping up the barrage. Both mean that disruptive counter battery fire is an ideal solution

Drop a few HIMARS on them since a creeping barrage requires their guns remain stationary.

First of all stop watching History Legends
Second of all Wagner tactics rely on overwhelming artillery support and only work on open terrain where you can actually suppress and eventually destroy defensive positions. In any settlements the artillery barrages will create rubble which you can keep blasting all you want, but it will remain a good defensive position. That's why Wagner basically bypasses all settlements, they're trying to surround them because their tactics simply do not work in that terrain. Basically the best thing Ukies can do is blasting away every fricking forest and keep up drone surveillance 24/7. Or wait until Russian artillery advantage diminishes even further than it already did

Um use drones and special forces to identify and destroy said artillery that is causing the problem with long range missile/artillery of your own or special forces infiltration.
