How do you setup your plate carrier? I have slots for mags on the front and two on the side but that's really it. I can't figure out what else im supposed to put on it but it feels empty

Ifak, water, a little pocket for M&Ms or Skittles, a dump pouch for quickly stashing stuff.
I have a built-in pouch on the front that can fit 3 AR mags and the coomerbund can fit a few more mags if needed. Good for quick use. I generally use the swift clips and attach a chest rig to it for more complex/beefy setups. Makes changing calibers/guns quick and easy and allows me to slim down to a minimalist carrier without hassle by just removing the rig. Works for me, but I use chest rigs, belts and LBE far more frequently than I do a complete armor setup.
Porn mag, bag of cocaine, Aviator sunglasses
The setup should be dictated by your intended purpose, like all things gun and accessory related. You did plan out a specific use-case or reason for buying it and didn't just mindlessly consoom because you saw cool pics on the internet, right?
I mindless bought the coolest thing. I should've gone with the meta though.
If you don't have at least one pouch for basic first aid supplies, you're ngmi
>knife perfectly position for someone to stab you in the heart with it

>knife
I've never understood the wisdom of putting a knife on your plate carrier.
> seems like a knife belongs on a belt
> easy for somebody else to grab it off the vest
It's mostly larp at this point. The practice was/is for a "get off me knife" a small and easily deployed knife to make room so you can get your rifle back up. The practice have fallen out of favor because if it's easy for you is easy for the other guy.
I always assumed it was for general utility, like cutting lines or seatbelts or opening stuff.
The odds that you'd even have to switch to pistol are low, and I imagine there is a zero percent chance a fella would have to fight with a knife.
General utility does not need to be occupying such valuable real-estate. I'd put something like that on my off-hand side (left) at like 8 o'clock
Why do you want things to be hard? Do you also lock your doors at night?
For what? Boogin? Fricking around at the range? It's all going to be mission oriented but generally: booboo kit, gunshot trauma kit, multitool, monocular or mini binos, basic navigation shit like a compass and local map, rangefinder and radio if you have one, satnav if you have one, a couple of days worth of water purification tabs for if you have to dump your backpack, snack of your choice, flashlight, lighter, extra batteries for your shit, etc.
Other people said mag dump pouch. Its a good idea to have one but I like mine on my belt.

You posted the cringiest carrier manufacturer (outside of chinkshit) on the planed: Tyr Tactical.
Ever wonder who works there? I'll give you a clue, they aren't Americans.
Cite my sources you say? I work down the street from them, and have done electrical work in the building.
The couple that own the place are absolutely fricking moronic. They had Pence show up there prior to the election boogaloo, and rather than capitalize on the opportunity, they absolutely blew it.
I wear a backpack backwards on my chest over the plate carrier that's full rifle mags,.38 revolvers, and packaging peanuts.
The peanuts silence all the jiggling noises when running.
It's also a surprise for the person that shoots me, like the confetti headshots in HALO.
>packaging peanuts
Seems like a recipe for getting little shredded bits of styrofoam in places you don't want.
> unless you're using those biodegradeable peanuts, in which case those attract water and dissolve
bandages,multitool,radio
shit like that
If you don't know what else to put on it, then it's complete. Don't go looking for shit, if you know you need it you need it, if you don't you don't.
>6 full mags
>radio
I use it to pack ammo out to my shooting spot every weekend. All the other gear goes in the backpack
