How do you guys feel about seeing trash in the woods?
I don't wanna seem like a hippy or whatever, but it makes me feel terrible, it's a symbol of all that's wrong in man
Do you pick up trash when you see it?
I'd like to; I pick up whatever bags I see, since they're so compact & light, is like to pick up more though

Nah, I don't do pick up litter for free. The reward is having an unpolluted space for people to enjoy, helping my community and making life better for the people around me.

        >Nah, I don't pick up litter for free.
In the sense that I don't lift weights for free. I put in the work to realize a result, which is to become stronger. Not everything in life needs to revolve around the profit motive, and honestly life is better when it doesn't.

    >should I clean up a forest so the same people who littered In the first place won’t be surrounded by trash?

I always take a few plastic grocery bags or a kitchen garbage bag every time I go out and pick up as much trash as I can. Many anons here do the same.

I go places where I might see 4 pieces of trash in a weekend. Just enough to stoke the fire of wanting to destroy all humans.

Last year I took a trash bag on a walk with me to my favorite forest. I filled up the 55 gallon bag but there's still stuff out there, I don't have anything going on tomorrow I should go again. Thanks for the reminder.

It makes me ponder whether people are really just NPC's.
    >go innawoods
    >enjoying the beauty and serenity of nature
    >drop 10 pounds of plastic containers, bottles, and crushed beercans
    >feel absolutely no compulsion to clean up your own mess that you left in a public space
Like what kind of person goes out to enjoy nature themselves then actively ensures they ruin the experience for not only others but the ecosystem itself.

It's fedora to quote Carlin these days but what he said about how stupid the average person is and how half the population are stupider than that rings completely true
That's why we have people throwing their garbage outside and still getting gored by bison at Yellowstone. Most people don't have the intelligence to care or reflect on how their actions will have affect others or the consequences of them.

Unironically in full support of the death penalty for people who litter. If you see someone littering in the woods, you should be able to just execute them on the spot.

What if someone just loses a snip of plastic packaging by accident?

Accidents are fine if people are being reasonably cautious. There's an extent of carelessness that borders on intentional but what I have in mind is people who just thoughtlessly toss a bottle off the side of a trail or leave a bunch of trash behind at a camp site. They've forfeited their right to life.

Same. If you lay down your trash you lay down your life, the forest can eat your corpse better than the can.

      checked and agreed

Went camping near red rocks in NV this weekend and came across a lovely dispersed campsite on some forest service land that had a half dozen grocery bags filled with trash piled up with much more trash blowing around and getting caught in trees. Another campsite we found had a really nice flat and shaded spot between three trees that many people had used as a shitter with at least 6 clumps of TP strewn about. Makes me absolutely seethe. I blame the off road/RV community and you will never change my mind.

it's kinda gay in the forest and regardless of who is actually doing it, I blame all of that on mexican illegals.

When I see it in the woods near old mines or in the desert near ghost towns or old settlements, and it's 50-200 years old with little to no plastic, then I consider it archaeological

ppl who litter are the same as those who don't put back their grocery carts. They are evil. It costs you nothing to do the right thing, and yet you still don't.

I'm an extreme litterer. I am constantly littering and I find it fun. There is no better and freeing feeling than chucking some peice of shit garbage into the fricking nature where it belongs. Naturr needs constant remindets it is ruled by man otherwise it will start to creep in and destroy the cities we built.

The amount of litter in a region is directly proportional to the % of nonwhites in that region.

Nature needs constant reminders it is taken care of and looked after otherwise the LGBTQ and gays will creep in and destroy the nature we're preserving.

I pick up trash all the time.
people that eat at fast food places are the main contributor to the litter problem.
