Frick rodents. I once slept in an unmanned shelter in the woods and there were mice under the floorboards. Everytime I nearly fell asleep, they started scratching and skittering. Then I'd toss and turn and they'd shut up. Had to set up my tent next to the shelter in the middle of the night in the pouring rain because the little shits were driving me insane.
I share my peanuts with the chipmunks and squirrels while I’m chilling out. One for me one for them. When it’s time to settle down for the night I’ll leave a small pile for the critters to munch on. Don’t be israeli with your snacks
I have this big rat trap from years ago, completely pancakes the skulls of anything trying to get near my shit. Very loud too, would double up as a hunting trap.
I hate mice so much. they always find a way into my minivan, I've tried plugging any holes but I must be missing something. I just constantly have mouse traps set up now, they get the job done, though it's annoying having to get up to throw the dead mouse out, and the few seconds or minutes of skittering and noises before they die in the trap is annoying as well.
I try to avoid eating in the minivan as much as I can but it's unavoidable sometimes.
I get mice and rats and birds the hole time. Bunch of holes from them and a bigger one from I presume a fox. I hate when I'm sleeping and I hear them outside bc they can get in very fricking easily and you gotta worry about shit. I see them as a room mate in nature. They're just friends you pass you off sometime by eating your food. I feed them and usually keep a can of aerosal to spray. What's the best repellant otherwise? Instead of buying the rodent repellant stuff for like 30 I just use a can of spray paint and spray my tent. Leave door open to ventilate of course and it is safe to smoke during and after spraying( just don't spark the lighter). If you have an ashtray outside too that works. I do love the smell of spray paint but I imagine petrol would be a lot better as a repellant but waaaay more dangerous if you smoked. Thr HISSS of a can is pretty spooky for the critters so they frick off. Sometimes the shake alone works so if you maybe used a bottle and some stones you could maybe achieve this. I don't like to kill them I set up traps but took them all down as I was guilt tripped by a few baby animals staring t me lol
Bear triangle and I don't spill packets of food powder all over my gear like an ape.

Ear plugs are part of my kit.
>situational awareness
Knowing there's a bear outside your tent isn't going to do you much good anyway.
And tent poles.
Shoot them. God bless America!
Clown pic is accurate.
I just wipe my wiener on my tent/pack.
Keeps pests away.
>hang your food
>don’t bring food in your tent
>stop being moronic
Did you think it was only for bears?
>what is salt
stop being moronic
choot em and then eat em
>shoot a chipmunk
>either destroy the body or get a bite worth of meat
Not worth the effort

Wire mesh bag for food. Stake it to the ground twenty or thirty feet from my tent. Rodents hate it.
Bear takeout
Better than bear dine-in
>Bear takeout
No bears where I camp.
No trees? A clothesline puts everything at a convenient height with zero chance of losing it, as well as giving you a place to hang clothes.
>No trees?
Desert. Once or twice I have balanced my pack on top of trekking poles against a rock wall.
