How do I unfuck this?

I sheared off this new front sight on my 590a1 while installing it with red loctite. What are my options now? Ghost ring sights? Worst case scenario new barrel?

Well, yeah, without a drill press I wouldn’t risk it. Any competent machine shop or gunsmith should be able to do it for a reasonable amount.

I have a drill press but no extractors or taps. Any recommendations on extractors that small the size of a bead sight

extractors are usually a gimmick, look up the size of the thread and drill it out with a drill just below the minor diameter of the thread and it will come out with needle nose/pick

I can only find chink shit screw extractors that small on amazon, not sure I can trust those

close. brakeleen and then flux and solder it back on, repeat every 6 months
Or if you feel like a ninja, tap it backward then heat with a torch and unscrew using the tap

Shotgun barrels cost nothing, since they don't need rifling or high pressure tolerance. Just get a new one.

mechanic here, if youre completely inept and dont want to risk drilling and fricking up the threads you can use a slightly too small drill bit and use some 5 minute epoxy on a nail or bolt stick through the bead and give it a day to set. generally for threads that small thats enough, if you really wanna play it safe you can use a small allen key and just cut it flush afterwards.

OP said he installed the thing with loctite. That means the threads are locked up with glue.

no shit, get a heat gun

If Loctite came off with heat, why do you think people would apply it to the barrels of guns?

correct but CA glue will let go at 200 deg easy

Red Loctite needs at least 5min of sustained localized heat at 450F to melt then you have to remove while hot.

loctite is an anaerobic metal-activated acrylic glue, red loctite is also thermally resistant
