Already cleared it and left the range. Same shit happened several times before I gave up.

you sure about that? cause limp wristing is the number one cause of that, followed by morons who attach too much shit to their slide on a stock spring

listen dude there is more to gun advice than telling people to stop limp wristing.

Double feeds mean your slide isn't moving fast enough to fully eject the spent casing - switch to a slightly lower recoil spring weight (e.g. if your on a 17lbs spring now, go down to 15; if you're on 15lbs, instead go down to 13, etc).

my boomer jericho double feeds, fails to extract with 115 grain blazer brass and only 115 grain blazer brass. and im pretty sure theyre basically the shittiest ammo you can buy in a box because it works fine with other brands and even blazer aluminum case

i read somewhere the jericho is meant for 124 grain but its a mangnum research baby eagle iii not a jericho and people treat them interchangeably even though im not quite sure they are. plus i doubt the gun is that finely tuned and precise its israeli

The Jericho's are unreliable pieces of shit. There's a reason the Israeli military moved to Glonk.

This but to answer your question, I'd start with different weight recoil springs.
If that doesn't work, polish the feed ramp and replace the extractor spring.
If that doesn't work check your ammo. It could be that the ammo is extreme in some dimension such as overall length.

The problem is your assuming the aftermarket parts he bought are actually functional and going from there. There are plenty of problematic cheap unknown lpks.

Bud, I guess I'm assuming it didn't frick up assembly that badly yeah.

I do want to say that many people do not understand that springs work off of each other. In the action they exist in balance. Even the recoil spring works in conjunction with the striker spring as it generates resistance to the slide going forward. People with hammer fired guns will put a weak hammer spring in to make the trigger lighter but forget that the slide moving back is what compresses that spring, it works with the recoil spring. Trigger return springs, hammer springs, striker springs, recoil springs, etc... none of them really work as an island.

Polymer 80 is a good training weapon. Because when it fails you get to practice clearing the malfunction...

this. I'd given up trying to get mine to reliably go boom when 2/10 rounds every mag got light strikes, and audio kabooms were inconsistent, some louder than others. Turns out I had the takedown lever in backwards, failures reduced to once every other mag, then went away entirely when I changed ammo. Frick MaxxTech btw, frick brazilian shit. Live and learn. OP should probably check optic screw depth, I agree it could be binding up extractor spring.

I did a terrible job on mine and it functions perfectly. No idea why people say they are unreliable. Only a Black person could have done worse than me.

          I have experience with P80s.
The only problem I've experienced had to do with the firing pin safeties in the parts kits not being chamfered correctly. From the manufacturer, the parts I received had incorrect (perfectly straight, square profile) which caused failures to feed and made the slide bind during cycling.
The safety should look like picrel. Rounded shoulders, not 90s.

            Anonymous

The DIY solution is to chuck your safety in a drill, spin it and polish the hard edge off with a Dremel.
            Not a gunsmith, not advice.
            Not liable for your actions.

This. Weak extraction I can see, but then you typically see a stovepipe. Did this shit flip all the way up and around and still get caught by the slide on the way back?

Are the small parts like the recoilspring and extractor oem or aftermarket garbage?

  9. 1 year ago
    Anonymous

In order of likeliness: Wrists; see PrepHole. Make sure your total recoiling mass isn't out of spec. Easiest check is see if the issue persists after removing your red dot. If it does, see wrists again. Then check your ammo dimensions, weight and powder load. If wrists, ammo and recoiling weight are good (or you really want the red dot), fiddle with some different brands and strengths of aftermarket extractor and/or recoil springs. If those don't work, make sure your gun & barrel are rated for it and try +p.

I bet it's because you need to wetsand/polish the top surfaces of your rails and break the edges. Tape 600 grit sandpaper to a table, use water for lube, and go slow until it's shiny on top. Break the front, back, and angled edges of the top surfaces for butter smooth action. Dry/ Relube before reinstallation. You're welcome Black person.
