Iron Dome, Trophy, the Merkava, their C2 platforms, all their drones, Spike. Tons of shit. You can literally go down the list.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_equipment_of_the_Israel_Defense_Forces
Their drones were so good early on, the US was buying them. The US continues to use Israeli military hardware today, like their mortars, F-35 components, missiles, etc.
Some Israeli hardware uses US components, like engines, but US contractors did not always have any role in actual development. They're just buying them OTS.
Unless you think any non-native component should disqualify the item as "native", in which case, even the US arsenal is mostly disqualified, including essentially everything with a microchip.

The Iron dome was paid for with $2.6billion from the US, firstly. Secondly, the Tamir interceptor was co-developed with Raytheon.

Wrong. That's just a US partner for local co-production.

Wrong again. Absent a US contractor, no US foreign military aid can be used. Which means everything on that list that isn't produced by America can only be paid for by the Israelis.

No, it doesn't. I guess that $2.6 billion on Iron Dome all went on batteries the US bought? None of it went on supplying Israel with more batteries, or missiles? $4billion of your $20 billion defense budget comes from the US.

Baykar actively updates software where electronic jamming gets decrypted in real-time. You'll notice from Azerbaijani TB2 videos from both recent wars that the earlier footage is static but later footage is crisp. That shows two things:

So, you admit it's nothing but sub-par copies Western tech crammed into a copy of a Soviet Yak Klost?
Canada sanctioned them after the N-K war, while having a carve-out for Ukraine, so no telling how good the TB2 is without it's cameras. Do they even have an alternative for eg Azerbaijan?
The designer got a degree in israeli engineering from MIT
he never finished his phd. never graduated from MIT nor enrolled in it. he only was there because his prof from another university went to there for a year.
One of the largest newspapers in Greece actually wrote an article that says that the TB2 was built by Greeks
This is the level of delusion that NATO and the East Med is dealing with. Selcuk Bayraktar had one Greek professor in his entire life, and suddenly Turkish drones are actually Greek drones.
Also isn't this guy just a businessman? I'm sure all the work is done by underpaid engineers who're only working on Bayraktar because they couldn't braindrain yet
Also isn't this guy just a businessman? I'm sure all the work is done by underpaid engineers who're only working on Bayraktar because they couldn't braindrain yet
No he is an engineer he supposedly "designed" drones but its obvious he didn't, other engineers in his company did. but still pretty good innovation.
>No he is an engineer he supposedly "designed" drones but its obvious he didn't, other engineers in his company did. but still pretty good innovation.
His brother did. The company is literally called Bayraktar Brothers.
That's not what the article is saying. It's an article that criticizes Greece/ the Greek government for not working with the same people, not saying that the drone is "Greek".
But I suppose expecting litercy from roach shills on /k/ is asking for too much.
>That's not what the article is saying. It's an article that criticizes Greece/ the Greek government for not working with the same people, not saying that the drone is "Greek".
God you're fricking dumb. It literally says Greek minds built Turkish drones.
And to your own point, why DOESN'T Greek hands make the drones?? Could it be that the TB2 isn't actually Greek, and you're simply incapable of it??
It could be half as good as a Reaper in every way and people would clamor for it because it costs $2 million and Reapers start at $32 million, it gives you closer to "real" assault drone performance for closer to "Amazon drone with a hand grenade" budget.
There's a very real chance the price is supported by subsidies.
Don't forget that the company that makes the Roach drones is run by Papa Roach's nephew or cousin or son-in-law or some other nepotistic middle eastern arrangement.
The Western optics alone on the TB2 are almost more than the price of the roach drone, so something doesn't add up.
>Don't forget that the company that makes the Roach drones is run by Papa Roach's nephew or cousin or son-in-law or some other nepotistic middle eastern arrangement.
Son-in-law
I like to imagine that in some modern medieval arrangement the guy invented a weapon so great that the king had no choice but to offer him his cutest daughter
>I like to imagine that in some modern medieval arrangement the guy invented a weapon so great that the king had no choice but to offer him his cutest daughter
Kek, I hope it's true >you did good, son. Here, take this
Don't forget it's also a power move. Marrying a man's daughter subordinates you to him as he is now legally your father, hence father-in-law. That's why kings, especially in the bronze age, were so big into making weaker kings marry their daughters.
> There's a very real chance the price is supported by subsidies.
So you're saying Turkey is giving out FREE or semi-free drones to third world countries?? Why not just advertise it as free aid then and take even more credit??
Most of Baykar's revenue comes from exports. This year it hit over 90% from exports.
> The Western optics alone on the TB2 are almost more than the price of the roach drone, so something doesn't add up.
The Western optics got sanctioned back in 2020. If not, then your lobby is doing a bad job.
Turkey is the only country on earth that has overwhelmingly negative opinions of the US, European Union, Russia AND China
why does turkish mil equipment causes so much butthurt?
I really don't get how Turkey and Russia keep up the "best bros" act when Turkey has killed more Russian allies and thwarted more Russian geopolitical goals than any other country over the last decade
seething about turkish drones will not bring back your dead orthodog brothers from hell, greek/serb/indian whatever butthurt belt u are from, i just wanted you remind you that. 🙂 i know theres one israeli spammer that seethes about tb2s too.
Probably because literally every other country except the US as the big daddy of NATO wants to see them fricked.
>Probably because literally every other country except the US as the big daddy of NATO wants to see them fricked.
Ever since the 2022 Ukraine War started, Greeks on Twitter have been occasionally dissing Ukraine calling them slaves. Ironic.
Ukraine is and will continue to be within the orbit of Turkey, Poland and the US, because they along with the UK and Baltic States are who aided Ukraine before everyone else jumped on board after the US ordered them to. France waited a month, and Germany waited 2 months, after the war broke out to send weapons because they were hoping to see Ukraine get steamrolled or partitioned just like in 2014. They were sending out helmets and pads the first several weeks.
Turkey was the only one to invest in Ukraine's defense industry, and it was also the largest foreign investor in Ukraine in 2020 and 2021. > https://intellinews.com/turkey-now-ukraine-s-top-foreign-investor-with-already-booming-free-trade-set-to-grow-further-225399 > https://kyivpost.com/business/burak-pehlivan-turkey-is-now-largest-investor-in-ukraine.html
Even the helmets and vests Ukraine's leadership wears are from Turkey. > https://dailysabah.com/business/defense/turkish-firm-makes-ballistic-helmets-vests-for-zelenksyy-his-team
Turkey signed separate deals to build factories to manufacture the Bayraktar TB2 and the TAI Anka in Ukraine. Turkey signed deals to build corvettes for Ukraine, with the first already built in Turkey and latter ones built in Ukraine. This would have given Ukraine a real NAVY.
When Ukraine first used the Bayraktar TB2 against Russian-backed forces in October 2021 to save Ukrainian troops from shelling, France and Germany literally condemned it. > https://thehill.com/opinion/international/580377-france-and-germany-seem-to-forget-whos-behind-russias-war-on-ukraine/ > https://qirim.news/en/novosti-en/ukraine-has-legal-right-to-self-defence-ambassador-to-germany-on-use-of-turkish-bayraktar-drones-in-donbas/
Because of the roach tendency to play both sides at all times for their personal gain people forget how much Turks despises vatniks. It's historical and geographical, Russia's endgame has always been reaching warm the Mediterranean waters. The turks' role in history was to wienerblock them and it still is. Crimean Khanate was part of the Ottoman Empire at some point. They're still fighting proxy wars against russians in ukraine, syria, nagarno-karabakh etc

I'd also add that if Russia were to decline for whatever reason (as is looking increasingly likely) then Turkey would become the dominant regional power of the near-East.
the real question itt is this:
what did turkey and japan do to develop their titanium machining base to the level of supporting advanced combat aircraft?
It's not some advance weapon it just is affordable and meets Ukraines means. Also, while shitting on Turks is fun they arent some primitive tribe. A few of them are intelligent enough to make weapons.
seething about turkish drones will not bring back your dead orthodog brothers from hell, greek/serb/indian whatever butthurt belt u are from, i just wanted you remind you that. 🙂 i know theres one israeli spammer that seethes about tb2s too.
he never finished his phd. never graduated from MIT nor enrolled in it. he only was there because his prof from another university went to there for a year.
It isn't advanced, but it is combat proven and good enough to do the job. Aso Turks don't have the same prejudices as Uncle Sam, and sell it in many countries,
Remind you the US didn't want to sell even stingers to Ukraine because "you will eventually lose and sell it on the black market" and Germany silently blocked even procurement of chassis in European Union for armored vehicles after 2014.
>Turkey builds a ship >"Lol we had that tech 30000 b.c. Nice catch up roaches!" >Turkey builds a gun >"Lol, nice black powder copy of the chinks, lel roaches!" >Turkey builds a drone >"Welcome to the 80s, roaches
The enemies of Turkey hate them so unbelievably much that their hatred unironically deranges them from reality. The reality of Turkish military capabilities. The pure and extreme level of Turk hatred disables them from properly analyzing their Turkish enemy and setting up a reality based war strategy to counter the Turks. This is the only true advantage Turkey, it's enemies a literally to emotional on a National-Governmental scale due to their Turk hate and anti-Turk pride, to even admit that their might be some things Turkey does well or might be strong in and should be taken in absolute consideration. NOPE! ''Om my gosh, like.. the Turks, are true stupid, ugly morons, they are like the worst''
because 90% of their components are made by white europeans
look it up. turkey actually had to stop all drone production a while ago when sanctions hit them and try to find alternate suppliers. now they're buying all their shit from the indians and the chinese, so expect the quality to drop big time
>look it up. turkey actually had to stop all drone production a while ago when sanctions hit them and try to find alternate suppliers.
I did look it up and you're full of shit. Turkey didn't stop drone production, they just replaced that shit with domestic stuff which they were going to do anyway.
Jesus Christ the amount of butthurt Turkey's military industry is causing to foreign lobbies is hilarious.

If you can't read, it's not my fault, blame your parents.
Because they had to. They were and are still sanctioned so they had to come up with something. Once drones become existential, you inevitable become good at it.
Tb2s are very good value for money and come with almost no strings attached. If used in a layered way with EW systems they can do considerable damage. They are becoming increasingly domestic and apperantly have quite good software. They can be used almost anywhere by almost anyone and require basic maintenance. It's like the Toyota pickup of drones. You buy them, send your guys to Turkey to train, set up a couple containers and off you go killing people. It's pretty nice. Would buy myself if I could.

turkey is just very poor so manpower is cheap = they can make low-tier drones for less than the competition.
the reason the industry exists there is iirc US blocking transfer/sale of shit to them
how does cheap manpower relate to the know-how of making drones?
There was one Turkish MIT student in the early 2000s who came back to Turkey and started building really cheap drones with COTS equipment.
Hence why they're called the Bayraytar. They're named after that guy.
They're qualitatively inferior to a Predator but they're so much cheaper that it doesn't matter.

https://www.ekathimerini.com/opinion/1181544/turkish-drones-by-greek-minds/
This is the level of delusion that NATO and the East Med is dealing with. Selcuk Bayraktar had one Greek professor in his entire life, and suddenly Turkish drones are actually Greek drones.
Also isn't this guy just a businessman? I'm sure all the work is done by underpaid engineers who're only working on Bayraktar because they couldn't braindrain yet
Greeks are delusional what is new?
No he is an engineer he supposedly "designed" drones but its obvious he didn't, other engineers in his company did. but still pretty good innovation.
>No he is an engineer he supposedly "designed" drones but its obvious he didn't, other engineers in his company did. but still pretty good innovation.
His brother did. The company is literally called Bayraktar Brothers.
That's not what the article is saying. It's an article that criticizes Greece/ the Greek government for not working with the same people, not saying that the drone is "Greek".
But I suppose expecting litercy from roach shills on /k/ is asking for too much.
>It's an article that criticizes Greece/ the Greek government for not working with the same people, not saying that the drone is "Greek".
It literally says "Turkish drones by Greek minds". It's saying that Turkish drones were made due to the ingenuity of Greek minds. Dumb shill.
Tb 2 isnt "advanced" it is just cheap and good enough
It's not advanced you drooling reddditard.
It represents US drone capabilities from the late 80s and Israeli tech from the 1990s.
I don't think Americans had such a drone in 90s.
A drone capable of launching cruise missiles & 36+ hours endurance
The TB2 makes a VERY convincing price argument.
Kek, I hope it's true
>you did good, son. Here, take this
Don't forget it's also a power move. Marrying a man's daughter subordinates you to him as he is now legally your father, hence father-in-law. That's why kings, especially in the bronze age, were so big into making weaker kings marry their daughters.
This is the best le meme compass pic by a long, long shot.
>No Imazighen
we're one of the oldest people, contemporary to the Phoenicians, Egyptians, etc
why did you forget us ?
> There's a very real chance the price is supported by subsidies.
So you're saying Turkey is giving out FREE or semi-free drones to third world countries?? Why not just advertise it as free aid then and take even more credit??
Most of Baykar's revenue comes from exports. This year it hit over 90% from exports.
> The Western optics alone on the TB2 are almost more than the price of the roach drone, so something doesn't add up.
The Western optics got sanctioned back in 2020. If not, then your lobby is doing a bad job.
why does turkish mil equipment causes so much butthurt?
Turkey is the only country on earth that has overwhelmingly negative opinions of the US, European Union, Russia AND China
Probably because literally every other country except the US as the big daddy of NATO wants to see them fricked.
I really don't get how Turkey and Russia keep up the "best bros" act when Turkey has killed more Russian allies and thwarted more Russian geopolitical goals than any other country over the last decade
they are both morons that's why
t. turk

Even the helmets and vests Ukraine's leadership wears are from Turkey.

When Ukraine first used the Bayraktar TB2 against Russian-backed forces in October 2021 to save Ukrainian troops from shelling, France and Germany literally condemned it.

based turko ukr alliance
Because of the roach tendency to play both sides at all times for their personal gain people forget how much Turks despises vatniks. It's historical and geographical, Russia's endgame has always been reaching warm the Mediterranean waters. The turks' role in history was to wienerblock them and it still is. Crimean Khanate was part of the Ottoman Empire at some point. They're still fighting proxy wars against russians in ukraine, syria, nagarno-karabakh etc
I'd also add that if Russia were to decline for whatever reason (as is looking increasingly likely) then Turkey would become the dominant regional power of the near-East.
if they dont, they freeze this winter. Unlike EU countries like germany, they cant just bankroll this problem away.
the real question itt is this:
what did turkey and japan do to develop their titanium machining base to the level of supporting advanced combat aircraft?
I don't get what you think is so advanced about a prop driven remote piloted plane with a gimbal camera on it.
It's a copy of the Soviet Yak Klost at that.
Hey that's cool I didn't know about this thing. Thanks anon
I think that the Israeli spammer is actually a butthurt greek.
The designer got a degree in israeli engineering from MIT
he never finished his phd. never graduated from MIT nor enrolled in it. he only was there because his prof from another university went to there for a year.
The tricky bits come from other places. Usually it has a German engine and most customers opt for the Canadians optics kit
It isn't advanced, but it is combat proven and good enough to do the job. Aso Turks don't have the same prejudices as Uncle Sam, and sell it in many countries,
Remind you the US didn't want to sell even stingers to Ukraine because "you will eventually lose and sell it on the black market" and Germany silently blocked even procurement of chassis in European Union for armored vehicles after 2014.
ah this schizo bosnian serb from int
Technology transfer from china
Turkey just builds the airframe and does the integration. Components come from all over.
>Turkey builds a ship
>"Lol we had that tech 30000 b.c. Nice catch up roaches!"
>Turkey builds a gun
>"Lol, nice black powder copy of the chinks, lel roaches!"
>Turkey builds a drone
>"Welcome to the 80s, roaches
I'm trying to imagine how much your national pride must be wounded to formulate such a post.
Here, another carbon copy in action
>that pink mist
Brutal. What the frick is even the point of fighting when getting stomped like that??
The Bayraktar is a piece of shit, but it only costs like 2.5 million a pop.
Jesus Christ the amount of butthurt Turkey's military industry is causing to foreign lobbies is hilarious.
you looked it up, it turns out that was I correct about every single point, but...I'm 'full of shit'?
sigh...Black person, no. noooo, Black person, no. that isn't how this works, Black person. that's not how any of this works, Black person.
>you looked it up, it turns out that was I correct about every single point, but...I'm 'full of shit'?
>turkey actually had to stop all drone production a while ago when sanctions hit them and try to find alternate suppliers.
>Turkey didn't stop drone production, they just replaced that shit with domestic stuff which they were going to do anyway.
Would buy myself if I could.
what is the eu/usa/china equivalent in terms efefciency/$?
