Able to provide internal security for an unpopular regime, any ability to fight beyond its borders is unproven and dubious.

      >Able to provide internal security for an unpopular regime
Debatable. They needed Russian support to suppress protests last time.

It is just rumours, afaik. And they did not use the army to supress protests (other then in Brest).

Russians used the same trick they used in Donbass, where technically there was no army, just armed people ehich happened to have links to the FSB who found random SPAAs and tanks in sheds around the country *wink wink*
Something similar happened in Belarus, where there suddenly was an influx of policemen wich cannot be identified.

miniscule military for the amount of armor and weaponry it has. generally not very motivated, and not well trained based on their performance trying to breakup the protests and riots after the last "election" (CSTO had to be called in to help). imo they would have been torn up in Ukraine if they joined.

    Below average.
Also Mess with them too much (like sendind them to a meat grinder like Bakhmut or vuhledar) and they will go full coup.

Military budget of Lithuania : 1.8 billion
Military budget of Belarus : 600 million
That's not considering the fact Belarus has 4 times higher population than Lithuania, and a lot more corruption.

    Tl;dr It's Somalia tier

I will add to what has already been stated that the Belorussian armed forces are inherently structured to rely upon Russian help in the case of any major conflict, internal or external. They’re basically a nonfactor

Questionable enough that a single Ukie TDF Brigade would wreak havoc if they crossed the border.

naive question but what makes a man join an org like KGB, secret police etc? a lifetime bet that the regime never falls? there's no way your fellow citizens will let you go if they find out what you were doing the last 20 years when so-and-so's regime collapses
    >yeah i was in sports goods and you?
    >oh uh i kidnapped and tortured innocent people to death as my day job

Decent paycheck and protection from current ruling regime.
All you need is some military background (conscription) and half a brain, so it's a very lucrative career for people from lesser economic strata.

Why would you not? Its a secure job that is guarantied to take you places; plus it gives you power and authority over your fellow peons.
      >a lifetime bet that the regime never falls? there's no way your fellow citizens will let you go if they find out what you were doing the last 20 years when so-and-so's regime collapses
Provided your survive the initial turmoil, being a spook has a pretty good prognosis. Out of anybody you likely have the best warning that things are going to fall apart so you can prepare, plus looking at soviet breakups (not just with Putin, all the comblocs) its pretty consistent that fed types ended up in charge of privatized industries and involved in politics.

    they're elite at deception.
they managed to trick the west into activating its assets inside Belarus thinking it would be Ukraine 2.0
but whatever general they thought was going to open the gates for them actually stayed loyal to Lukashenko.

There were reports he was really struggling to even walk to his seat. He also skipped the lunch with Putin that many other heads of state and important people went to on Tuesday.

He really doesn't want to get dragged down with monke when the fat lady sings since even the Belarussian military made it clear to him that they'd rather fight a rebellion then get involved in Ukraine and the only reason he is left in power is because he doesn't inconvenience his citizens moreso then an actual war would.

I mean Putin basically said in his speech that would invade Belarus to stabilize it in case of rebellion so

ukraine doesnt put TDF on the belarus borders incase belarus enters
its incase russia uses their borders again to enter
belarus barely has enough men to even fill out one corp, literally a couple ukrainian divisions would be enough to stop the entire belorussian army

Higher quality Russians on a small scale. Without hazing in the army and maintenance at a good level.

ffs why can't they stick to their own shit? I genuinely believe if a war between China and the US broke out the Chinese would ditch their digital pattern and copy multicam like a week into the war.
How will the US avoid identification issues when all their enemies are gonna look exactly like them?

Imagine the Russian army, but almost 20 times smaller, with yearly budget of ~10k euro per active soldier (Russia: $57k, Poland: $200k, US: $600k) and barely any equipment produced after the Cold War. Also no ammo, because monke stole it. And to make things even worse, in case of the most likely interstate war, Belarus vs Poland, plenty of Belorussians would support Poles rather than agrofuhrer's regime, since it would be an opportunity for them to gain independence and prospects of joining EU/NATO.
