Honestly, I wouldn't have minded if they just took a 91 receiver and kludge a 5.56 mag in there. Copying the stock and trigger pack was a bad idea, really limits choices for aftermarket.

Mags are $150-$250 a pop, and there aren’t as many kits or adopters as the G3.

New plastic Turk mags are like $30.

lolwut. New production HK 30 rounders are like 80 bucks max.

They kind of did with the C93. The receivers and barrels are made by PTR and Century assembled the kits.

Zenith and MKE had a falling out, so you will wait forever until they become friends again.

Those are [planned] in-house builds. As you said, Zenith doesn't import MKE anymore.

I had a c93 for years and honestly, it's not worth what they go for nowadays. I sold mine for $1400 last year and haven't looked back. you can build a really nice ar for the same money that will outperform it in every role.

    >good mags are overpriced
    >limited options on furniture
    >the trigger sucks
    >if you reload, it mangles the brass
    > if yours doesn't already have a paddle mag release be prepared to spend a couple hundred to get that done because the regular mag release sucks.

oh and depending on which monkey at century assembled the c93 it could work great on be a pain in the ass get running properly.

It's been a few years, so maybe things have changed, but several years ago the consensus on /k/ was the Century builds were very iffy. Meaning, maybe your rifle is reliable, maybe it isn't, either way there's fit/finish/welding issues that will always kind of worry you. That said, they're so much cheaper than the alternatives, a lot of people would roll the dice and a lot were fine. Mags back then were only like $40 though, which is still insane, but according to this thread relatively reasonable

you can get a cetme model l which is basically the same thing

Yeah, if by "basically the same thing" you also think a Vz-58 is "basically" an AK

A model L is a lot closer to an HK33 than a VZ58 is to an AK.

I want some of these Turkish polymer G3 mags. Why are they unobtainium?

I'd even settle for Mexican polymer mags. What fricking cartel do I have to talk to?

Century is importing the plastic 5.56 mags. I assume they're not importing 7.62 mags because they assume they won't compete with $8 aluminum surplus which is probably true aside from the novelty factor.

Buy a T43 through your dealer? It's roach made, but one HK machines.

      What are you talking about?

MKE is a turkish company that builds HK roller lock guns on original HK tooling they bought from Germany. They have an HK33 in their repertoire and appear to export to the US.

They probably sell it without the kebab camo, too.

Century is the MKE importer and Century is not importing (anything but AP5s) right now for some reason.

I have one Anon and its not worth the money. Its a cool looking gun but worse than an AR in every way. Heavier, less accurate, more expensive, less reliable, harder to mount shit to it.

Anon have you not realized by now that once you have an AR, a glock 19, and a mossberg 500 you're completely free to get guns that are actually fun and that you actually like? It's pretty comfy.

Yes but most people asking questions like this aren't at that stage of their collection. They are just contrarians who are trying to fill major role and don't want the obvious answer.
