I haven’t seen a marine use an m16a2. Even the pog units usually have a4’s with acogs now. The infantry units mostly all have the M27 with the trijicon SCO, and many units are buying suppressors too. At leas that’s what I see around Camp Lejeune.

    >what all do marines carry in there backpack
Whatever they're told to carry. When you're in longer and get more experience, it's left to your discretion.
    >Where do you keep your day pack when using your ruck and vice versa
I was a POG and on hikes and exercises and shit we clipped our day packs to our ILBE packs.
    >what are those backpacks called
    day packs, or assault packs.
    >what armor are they using now and does every Marine have access to it?
Can't speak for gruntside Marine Corps, but POGS use the Improved Modified Tactical Vest. Google tells me the new hotness is the Scalable Tactical Vest and every Marine is issued level IV ceramic plates.
    >is it actually fricking true that some Marines are still using M16A2s?
Only A2's I ever saw while in (2016-2021) were used by Royal Thai Marines. I was only issued A4's like the rest of the POGs. Grunts use either the M4 or M27, from what I hear, they're giving M27's to every grunt and just kitting them out differently for whatever role they serve.
    >what attachments do Marines put on their M4 or M27
Every Marine using the M4 or M16 are also issued an ACOG. Vertical foregrips are an option and if you're actually oper8n, you get a PEQ-15 for use with night vision. The M27's are kitted exactly like in your pic. Trijicon VCOG, foregrip, bipod and PEQ. I hear they got rid of the suppressors for some reason, maybe to save on weight and length.

I know the answer is no, but should I join the marines? I’ve always wanted to be a marine officer and I’m coming up on going to college, also I don’t have the shot, is it worth it anymore? I come from a military family for almost ten generations and don’t want to break the line however I also have principles. If trump gets elected is there a chance the corps will get sorted out?

I wouldn't join right now. I'd wait for the possibility that the US government purges the radical left from its ranks and we go back to normal.

Thanks man I appreciate it, I wish I lived in like the 80s or 90s when the corps was in a good place, and the pay isn’t bad for a commissioned officer

            >and the pay isn’t bad for a commissioned officer
Officer corps is all politics, and if you don't suck your boss off at any given opportunity, you don't make it as far as your colleagues (especially if you don't have a vegana)

Yeah I’m a christian white “nAZi” in their eyes so if that’s the case I’m fricked. I wish this country would turn from its ways and the military would follow suit, maybe make our country something to be proud of and respectful of again.

There's no M16A2s to my knowledge. Even while I was in over a decade ago it was M16A4s, and infantry units where getting M4s and such.

-whatever you need in the field for a day or two, up to you to pick and choose depending on mission/environs
-it clips to the top of the main/ILBE pack with the buckles on the side.
-day packs or 2-day assault packs depending on what type of gays your COC are
-level IV ceramic plates. Depending on your unit and its allotment of funding, you might have side ESAPIs or literally nothing but two almost expired IIIA plates. Usually the POG higher ups get the gucci shit first, then it filters down to infantry, and then to regular POGs. Carriers are issued or personal depending on unit SOP.
-yes and they’re made entirely of rubber and only used in the highest of magical spec ops called “training companies” or something.
-POGs are issued the M4 or M16 depending on height usually. Those shorter than 5’2” will get an M4A4 and those above an M16A4. These will normally include a PEQ-15 and maybe occasionally a foregrip again depending on SOP. Infantry units are outfitted with the M4A4 or M27 IAR with either a Trijicon ACOG or VCOG and an L3Harris PEQ-16. Suppressors and foregrips again vary by unit SOP and squad/fireteam specific roles.
    -yeah.
ok now go away before I include the mods in my discrimination lawsuit.
