>One handed
Genuinely this. I always practice one handed because a big concern is dog attacks when I'm walking my dog. Can't just let my dog's leash go if I have to pull my gun, so one-handed it is.
Also important to train how your draw but with stuff in your hands.
Like a grocery bag that you have to drop instantly to go for your gun
Lots of people don't train dropping whatever is in their hands when they draw so they end up shooting wildly one handed
Yea you should train one handed but more than that you should train to drop whatever is in your hands.
But also, if you actually read my post, you'd realize that my goal is NOT to drop what's in my hands (my dog's leash), so yeah I ought to be practicing while holding something in my offhand

One hand, instinctive aiming
This. I also train shooting from the worst positions imaginable, off balance, etc. If you look at real shootings, they rarely give the ability to shoot in an optimal way, properly use the sights, etc. Being able to get off an accurate shot at 3 yards with point-shooting alone, one-handed, in less than 2 seconds from beginning of draw to shot, is a vastly more relevant skill than being able to keep your whole magazine in the A-zone at 10 or 20 yards.
towards enemies providing the best possible chance for the other guy to hit vital organs and CNS while wearing absolutely no protection.
Classic case of doing something and not understanding why it was actually adopted over the old style.
You realize that "blading" had nothing to do with the chapman stance? The actual Weaver, who came up with the base of the stance, did that because he wanted to use two hands, but his shoulders were too fucked up to extend both arms. Chapman modified it because he was cross eyed dominant and had to get his left eye over the sights.
You're literally advocating for cargo cultism based around the physical disability of people 50 years ago. This is hilarious.

It's actually weird how something that makes this much sense is so rarely used these days

I had Lucas screaming in the sheets with head too ridiculous to ignore. That twink frotted my cock until he busted on my mouth, I had to return the favor. That twink Lucas and I been fucking non-stop ever since, but keep that shit on the DL. He does that shit for free. If you're gonna ask me how to "long" Lucas, I'll be deadass. All you gotta do is ask, be straight up, and get physical real quick. Touch his nuts, get on ya knees, talk your shit. He doesn't play around with no pansy-ass niggas either. He likes his men manly, and his dick thick. Dark skin, 6'5 is the minimum and I ain't talking about height boy.

What happened to weaver? Wasnt that shit isosceles vs weaver? Nobodies mentioned weaver. Who the hell is chapman?
Guess im old and outdated like the guys who chickenwinged.
Let's talk about Center Axis Relock
While it's mostly a meme I do find it useful for shooting with my off hand as well as in tight situations (such as sitting in a car)
It's relatively easy to switch into CAR from weaver and back and forth as necessary.
>muh larp
CAR does look larpy but it's not meant to replace your normal shooting stance.
They're optional stances for when you don't have room, such as when someone is invading your space by attacking you.
Defending your life with a handgun isn't shooting static targets at the flat range. I would rather have it and not need it then need it and not have it.
>NOOOOOOO >having optional shooting stances is le bad because.... >BECAUSE IT JUST IS OKAY?!?!?
You do realize that CAR is situational and shouldn't be used all the time, right?
The majority of targets in IDPA will be too far away to make any use of CAR.
I uniroinically used a CAR stance to shoot while I had a tendon injury in my right forearm (yes it was masturbatory related) as it was the only way I could still shoot without doing damage to the injury.
So, how did it work out?
Would you use the low retention CAR stance if someone was trying to grab your gun?
Did you find any value in using CAR besides your using it due to your coomer injury?
I'm no chris kyle but imo bladed makes more sense if there's any risk of being pummled or having dodge something quickly. or the ground being uneven or such.
isoceles seems fine for the range. maybe for a aimed shot after coming to a standstill after running fast because you'd tippy tap into that position naturally trying to slow yourself down.
It wasn't his real name, Jacob was. Bryce was a sharp dresser, and that was called “being a jelly bean”. Early in his career, he put a round through a criminal and the last words out him was "I can't believe I got killed by a jelly bean" and then the nickname stuck.

Op has just committed sudoku with this picture; you don't use >50 yards handgun technique as your normal shooting stance.
Weaver is for long range shooting, Isosceles is for obliterating paper targets at close range; one handed at all angles (including upwards and downwards when you lie down) is your normal handgun stance.
This guy:
is dodging some tactical larpers' bullets while putting six in your heart in half a second.
This shit isn't really complicated; in some archaic shooting manual from the 1960s (maybe it's the Cooper's one?) they show a couple of pictures of how your stance changes depending on the distance from the target. You shoot from the hip at point blank, then you raise your hand and you eventually shoot two-handed at longer ranges.
>handgunning at 50-100m
real question; why? Party trick? It's like eating spaghetti with chopsticks. Like, sure if you practice all the time you'll get good at it but there's a fork right there.
Silhouette shooting is seriously fun. Not all shooting need be applicable to your life in the unlikely scenario you need to use it.

You are right i think i could train myself outta right eye dominance if i just practice it, but I'm not everybody maybe some retards really cant.. Don't knock em
>I'm right hand dominant and left eye dominant >Shooting with both eyes open is fucking impossible
Using chapman stance with your head lower is the best solution for cross eye dominance
Take a pair of glasses and put duct tape over the left side. Keep both eyes open while you focus on your front sight at home. Train about 15 minutes per day with the front sight and just leave the glasses on for about an hour a day for about a month and you’ll be on your way to switching your eye dominance.
>just leave the glasses on for about an hour a day for about a month and you’ll be on your way to switching your eye dominance.
No need to do the front sight practice, just wearing glasses with one eye blurred will switch your eye dominance
your eye dominance
No. No it will not. Eye dominant issues are not "fixable". It can not be "trained out"
Make a circle with the fingers of your left hand. Hold it out at arms length. Both eyes open focus on an object. Now close one eye. Then open them both. Now the other. What happened? Now do the same test but use your right hand.
Yeah. That just happened what does it mean? It means eye dominance is not simply about just your eyes. Your body is a system. If when you shoot with your dominant hand you are having non dominant side eye dominance you have to adjust more than just your eyes.
You cannot switch eye dominance. If you think you can you do not understand how the body functions at all. I would be amazed if you can zero a rifle.

I like how he is completely fucking his peripheral and making sure he has zero chance of picking up fresh targets. Who needs t know what's happening around them in a firefight anyway.
You're not supposed to run around using CAR 100% of the time. It's meant to be used when you don't have space.
So it's a great idea to block your own peripheral vision when you are you don't have a lot of space. Makes total sense. Let me go grab my tactical blindfold for some long range practice.
It's snake oil anon
Yeah it hampers your peripheral vision and it also hurts your accuracy at distances beyond 7 yards. Everything has its pros and cons.
But you know what CAR is great for? Providing excellent retention when you don't have space or time to fully extend your arms into your standard shooting stance. >getting car jacked by a Jamal >getting attacked by a Jamal with a knife
You're planning to point shoot from the hip if seated inna car?
You're planning to fire with one hand if physically attacked by a Jamal?
Now that's retarded.
Two is better than one when it comes to weapon retention. Which is kind of important when we're talking about these up close scenarios.

At super close range there is zero reason to use sights. You can point and shoot from the hip. It's the most instinctive thing in the world. If you're not firing from the hip then it's the same story. Your support hand is already there and ready to brace the gun as soon as it comes up.
It's not slower than one hand.
I've said it multiple fucking times but I guess I'll try again. One handed shooting is a last resort. Not really. We're talking about 7 yards here >no one has ever wrestled a gun out someone's hand in 200 years
Doubt >it's not faster
CAR can be fired right out of the holster as well. Follow up shots and reloads are faster with CAR than one handed. It often takes multiple shots with a handgun to put someone down. CAR is faster >Then you draw with one hand and put the other in there God damn face or grab their hands and unload
Or I can pump 7 rounds into them in one second and end the fight right there while you're fucking around with love taps >Go ahead and shoot in a confined space with your God damn eyeball 2 inches from the slide numb nuts.
I will. It's not a problem because this stance offers the best retention in confined spaces

The fact in the first line you make it clear that you are tunnel vision on one target and are in no way interested in keeping complete situational awareness let's everyone on this board know you have no idea what you are talking about.
CAR needs to be also reinforced primarily as a movement technique.
The other reason Isoceles took over besides armor coverage is Isoceles movement technique - you can move in isoceles and CAR effectively - 99% of the time trying to move and shoot in chapman is going to end up pseudo isoceles.
https://i.imgur.com/10MyB55.jpg
This is literally the dumbest shit I have ever seen. You fell for this? Lol
That's CAR reaction fire at extreme close distance, usually the gun is supposed to be a bit further out. The John Wick movies have quite a bit of CAR, but it's further out - go watch them - but alot of the extreme close sexual distance initial shots in those movies are Wick gutting a goon from retention, getting a pocket open to shift to CAR and shooting them in the face
I hate moving in isoceles. I always blade my stance.
I'll use CAR while moving and up close but if I have the chance I'm going to use modified weaver/chapman and my dominant eye. >out. The John Wick movies have quite a bit of CAR
He's using a modified CAR in the movies. Real CAR uses the the left eye when shooting right handed and the gun is very close to the face (but maybe not as close as that pic related)
I don't use any form because that's a completely backwards way of looking at form. You need to build your form from the ground up and understand what you are doing with every step, not try to imitate some photo you saw with no detail.
Here's how I shoot. First, I take one step with my off foot and place the other foot at about 45 degrees to oppose recoil forces. I grip the gun in such a way so that my hand has the easiest time pulling the trigger directly backwards with no lateral bias. Then I clench my grip to lock my wrist into a consistent position and control recoil. Then lock my whole arm and shoulder in such a way so as to exert maximum strength against recoil forces. Then I use my support hand to pull in my weapon hand and relieve grip tension so that my trigger finger can move with careful precision. Then I align my head and eyes with the sight plane. Then I rotate my entire upper body to the target. The end result looks somewhat similar to isosceles, but that's irrelevant. If you try to merely imitate the crude external appearance of a form then you will learn very slowly. You need to analyze the cause of every irregularity from one shot to the next. There is no such thing as "weaver" or "isosceles" or any other form. Either your body is properly aligned to control the trigger and recoil forces or it isn't.
Wearing armor: Stand square to hide un-protected areas.
No armor: Stand bladed to reduce your personal target.
I don't wear armor so I shoot Weaver stance. I find I shoot better with it than fagsoceles anyways.
If I was wearing armor I would continue to shoot in the manner that gave me the most accurate rapid fire on the target. Armor is supposed to be a passive defense. If it were so effective that you could safely compromise your form and your ability to engage the enemy then you wouldn't have to shoot back at all.
Do you shoot with the basedsoclees larper stance, or with the chad chapman marksman stance?
Chapman stance is flawed because when you adopt a firm grip on the gun, the natural angle of your wrist won't line the weapon sights with your eye if your elbow is also locked. It will be off by a good 30 degrees or more.
The Navy teaches Isosceles in bootcamp, and for the longest time I just thought that it was the 'proper' way to shoot. Then one day I tried the Chapman again (which is what I had intuitively learned before), and my accuracy instantly improved. It's just more natural. I guess the point of Isosceles is just to maximize body armor coverage? Who knows.
retrain yourself to be right eye dominant. when I started shooting competition i had to because shooting weaver wasn't an option when leaning around barricades.
turn your head until you can't see the sights with your left eye, or cover it. you'll eventually adapt. slowly reintroduce your left eye back but Iinentionally look through only your right eye.
I was left eye dominant the first time I did the test when I was younger. Couple times I tested right eye dominant.
I simply refused to be wrong eye dominant and retrained myself.
I'm a simple man.
I hold my gun however feels most comfy, and improve my groups with minor tweaks from there.
Doing what someone else does doesn't always work for you. Be unoriginal, and you will limit yourself. Develop YOUR technique instead of forcing yourself into someone else's
is there a thing where you pull the gun close to your chest have it there in a stationary postion while aiming with body movements? point shooting kinda?
>used by people who shoot >50 yards with a handgun
but it’s not used regularly in any handgun target sport, where we do goofy shit like pic related, and it’s also not used by modern action shooters, who do use isosceles stance for moving quickly between targets and transitioning quickly from shooting to moving (i gather from watching, i shoot target not action)
Blading only makes sense when the guys muzzle is right on you, crouching / kneeling & prone / on your back makes a bigger difference.

Having one stance for both rifle & pistol also makes sense.
In every picture of some homosexual using this larp they are committing at least one fundamental flaw that could mean life and death. Every single fucking one. This CAR shot is what NOT to do.
See if you can spot the fundamental flaws
Both and some more methods. I use what works in the situation. The main thing to remember is that your side arm is just a better tool than your fists or a rock to get you to a better weapon. Depending on the pistol and the knife, the knife may prove better at getting that better weapon. When in normieland, and the pistol is your primary, you will engage 97% of your threats at under 15 feet 80% of the time in the dark. Guns are tools, there's the professional tool, the right tool and then a piece of shit. Violence is dynamic, the condition and circumstances of violence are dynamic. Trying to one and done fucking anything about violence is what stupid bitches, dumb punks and stupid fudd boomers do. When I commit to violence, at least one mother fucker is dying. It might be me, I'll do everything in my power to make sure it's someone else who has caused the situation. Or that if I am the dead one, the other fucker will remember me as they suffer the lifelong disabilities I shoved up their ass and down their throats.
You we wouldn't know an ass beating from an ass fucking. Common to be conflated by homosexuals like yourself. I intentionally shot my first person in a third party self defense before I was 10.
This is good advice, thanks partner
But also, if you actually read my post, you'd realize that my goal is NOT to drop what's in my hands (my dog's leash), so yeah I ought to be practicing while holding something in my offhand
>I also train shooting from the worst positions imaginable
How the fuck do sex positions like this even fucking work?
There is no possible way an erect penis is going to point downwards at such an angle.
probably a bit like some amazon variation
Yeah, I don't see how that one works either.
I don't know about you guys but my dick does not agree with these angles.
I haven't done it either but I think it might be possible with some stretching. the issue more getting your legs back that far.
there's a sex position called the secret mason handshake but I can't find it
my penis points down when erect.
>my penis points down when erect.
Seriously?
ye, doing it doggy style is a pain because it keeps sliding out.
towards enemies providing the best possible chance for the other guy to hit vital organs and CNS while wearing absolutely no protection.
Classic case of doing something and not understanding why it was actually adopted over the old style.
The whole point was to keep the plate facing forward and stop providing a point of entry at the arm pit in to the upper abdomen.
Not one of them is wearing a plate. Nor are they at the grocery store, or any other place in life.
Only women use armor
You plan to get shot, idiot?
You realize that "blading" had nothing to do with the chapman stance? The actual Weaver, who came up with the base of the stance, did that because he wanted to use two hands, but his shoulders were too fucked up to extend both arms. Chapman modified it because he was cross eyed dominant and had to get his left eye over the sights.
You're literally advocating for cargo cultism based around the physical disability of people 50 years ago. This is hilarious.
I shoot handfuns at 50 to 100 yards with chadsoceles.
His arm is cocked to absorb the recoil. That's more of a revolver technique.
He's pretty good though.
good
Head shot Chad's rule mag dump world
MEOW
Isoceles as pictured is fucking retarded.
%3D
thank god. its like splitting the damn atom when I show people the strentgh this technique brings to your stance
Love this video. Proper shooting stance is actually really simple.
>Your shooting stance should mimic an unarmed fighting stance
It's actually weird how something that makes this much sense is so rarely used these days
Jeff is such a treasure. He's like if Travis Haley had the friendly type of autism instead of the intense, no fun kind.
I choose what situation and circumstance dictates, murphy is a mother fucker and life isn't a range
I was taught modified weaver stance before all of this isoceles bullshit became popular.
Isoceles never feels right.
Magnums, how do you follow through watching the sights under the heavier recoil?
Keep your eyes on the target and squeeze again as it falls back on. Pretty simple.
literally a non-issue of you know how to hold a gun properly
Thumb pointing fag. Grabs his rifle and cock from the side with a thumb over the top grip as well. Likes long walks on the beach, vegan meals, animal friendly clothing and dicks in the ass.
>faggy hogue/rubber grips that only woman-sized hands
We use target grips round here homo.
i prefer thumb-over-wrist but im also not that great with revolvers.
Do you consider 50 yd hits at a torso sized target somehow impressive?
More impressive than magdumping at a man-sized target from 5m
The majority of self defense shootings involve magdumping at a target from 5m.
>his store is now dead nagger storage
That poor printer.
Every printer deserves to be shot.
No. The majority of self defense shooting happen defending against that stupidity.
Just puts a pill in the printer for the hell of it because fuck that thing.
Have you ever used a printer before? This man has been WAITING for an excuse to shoot the damn thing
Good situational awareness. Sees nagger approaching, hand immediately goes to gun.
This guy got destroyed in /hg/ and had to come here for more (You)s from noguns. LMAO
Anyone replying is gulping bait.
Is that Lucas Botkin? That twink has been on my mind. No cap, I been thinking about that time when I barebacked him raw in a Boca Raton Air BnB. That shit had to be the tightest, whitest, wettest boy pussy I've ever laid pipe into. I swear to God, the most heavenly high is gargling that wonderboy's nuts while going fist deep into his shitter.
That Twink Lucas Botkin stole my heart and drank my seed.
What happened to weaver? Wasnt that shit isosceles vs weaver? Nobodies mentioned weaver. Who the hell is chapman?
Guess im old and outdated like the guys who chickenwinged.
Chapman is modified Weaver. Dominant arm is locked.
Ah i see how that could be useful but im not going to change how i shoot.
Let's talk about Center Axis Relock
While it's mostly a meme I do find it useful for shooting with my off hand as well as in tight situations (such as sitting in a car)
It's relatively easy to switch into CAR from weaver and back and forth as necessary.
*sighs* more larp shit...
/hg/ hates weaver? But it's max COMFY
No he just fanboys over weaver and acted like everything else was larpy bs.
Go to idpa and see how fucking stupid your meme shit is with someone objectively scoring your performance. Until then, you are the larper.
>NOOOOOOO
>having optional shooting stances is le bad because....
>BECAUSE IT JUST IS OKAY?!?!?
You do realize that CAR is situational and shouldn't be used all the time, right?
The majority of targets in IDPA will be too far away to make any use of CAR.
The only situation CAR is good for is entertainment. That shit is funny.
I'm no chris kyle but imo bladed makes more sense if there's any risk of being pummled or having dodge something quickly. or the ground being uneven or such.
isoceles seems fine for the range. maybe for a aimed shot after coming to a standstill after running fast because you'd tippy tap into that position naturally trying to slow yourself down.
holy fuck did OP get btfoed in /hg/ lol
YOU ARE ALL FAGS
The real way to shoot if the Jelly Bryce way. And if you don't know who Jelly Bryce is, then you are the biggest FAG
wasn't he called Jellybean Bryce?
It wasn't his real name, Jacob was. Bryce was a sharp dresser, and that was called “being a jelly bean”. Early in his career, he put a round through a criminal and the last words out him was "I can't believe I got killed by a jelly bean" and then the nickname stuck.
The dude iced more shitheads with his revolver than %99.9 of larper instructors. I think I know who to emulate.
Ah, I forgot there's a video recreation of this incident.
>iced more shitheads with his revolver than %99.9 of larper instructors. I think I know who to emulate.
Amen, brother. So many dirtbags were put down by rocks & bow n arrows.. hell, david decimated goliath with a rock & a sling.. all this gun shit is just larp for pussies who can't fight so good...

Nah, my normal handgun stance is weaver.
It seems that I was defeated by simple logic. But I'll be back!
>handgunning at 50-100m
real question; why? Party trick? It's like eating spaghetti with chopsticks. Like, sure if you practice all the time you'll get good at it but there's a fork right there.
Silhouette shooting is seriously fun. Not all shooting need be applicable to your life in the unlikely scenario you need to use it.
Friends of mine and I will set up steel, take our favorite revolvers, and basically play horse(like you would with basketball).
>playing horse with guns
shit. Never even thought of that.
It's a blast, an excuse to try shots you'd never otherwise. Sometimes you get lucky.
Noodles are like the easiest thing to eat with chopsticks.
Both eyes should be open
I'm right hand dominant and left eye dominant
Shooting with both eyes open is fucking impossible
Eye dominance isn't a thing
Yes, it is. As someone who actually trained people I can personally tell you it is very real.
Its not and you trained people wrong if you told people they have an eye dominance
Considering you are the samefag advocating cutting off your own vision in a firefight I'll just laugh off your silly opinion on established fact.
This is a right hand left eye dominant firearm
You are retarded
isn't that more like a firearm where you don't have to tilt your head
A gun made for retarded fudds who believe in something that isn't real
The post from the doctors who are experts in eyes meant nothing to this cocksucker
Personally I don't fucking believe a word from doctors either but I am definitely left eye dominant
I wear glasses and my right eye is much worse then the left, I can't read anything unless it's right in front of my face with my right eye
Your post from "expert doctors" was just explaining what eye dominance is not proving that it exists or how prevalent it is or how to test yourself for it
The test most bunk instructors will have you do to see what eye dominance you have is retarded and doesn't actually prove anything especially because most people can choose which eye to focus with /aim with which is why most dudes can accomplish the binden aiming concept or occluded shooting
You are right i think i could train myself outta right eye dominance if i just practice it, but I'm not everybody maybe some retards really cant.. Don't knock em
>I'm right hand dominant and left eye dominant
>Shooting with both eyes open is fucking impossible
Using chapman stance with your head lower is the best solution for cross eye dominance
Hickok even says that in his video
>Shooting with both eyes open is fucking impossible
I dunno man I remember looking through a holo sight with both my eyes open and there it was the crosshair just floating around
Take a pair of glasses and put duct tape over the left side. Keep both eyes open while you focus on your front sight at home. Train about 15 minutes per day with the front sight and just leave the glasses on for about an hour a day for about a month and you’ll be on your way to switching your eye dominance.
Is fucking retard
You can cope all you want, that’s how it’s done.
Subject matter expert larp
>just leave the glasses on for about an hour a day for about a month and you’ll be on your way to switching your eye dominance.
No need to do the front sight practice, just wearing glasses with one eye blurred will switch your eye dominance

If I understand your logic it's brilliant. Just deny everything and throw shit at the chalkboard hoping everyone is as dumb as you.
your eye dominance
Hold it with your right hand and tilt the pistol 45 degrees to the left to line up with your left eye. This is very basic shit that has been taught forever.
me
step aside boomer stances, the new hotness is in town
I like how he is completely fucking his peripheral and making sure he has zero chance of picking up fresh targets. Who needs t know what's happening around them in a firefight anyway.
>new
Paul has been dead for more than a decade now.
Providing excellent retention when you don't have space or time to fully extend your arms into your standard shooting stance.
>getting car jacked by a Jamal
>getting attacked by a Jamal with a knife
From those distances you can point shoot from the hip. What you are suggesting is beyond retarded.
You're planning to point shoot from the hip if seated inna car?
You're planning to fire with one hand if physically attacked by a Jamal?
Now that's retarded.
Two is better than one when it comes to weapon retention. Which is kind of important when we're talking about these up close scenarios.
>>Inna car
Yes. Elbow bent at the attacker point blank.
one handed while in a physical alteration
Yes, that is exactly how you would make enough space to draw to begin with
>>two is better than one...weapon retention
If I pull it I'm firing it immediately. There is no wrestling for it. One hand is grabbing your outstretched hands the the other draws and fires.
Two hands is for single actions. And I can do it one handed with those as well
You fell for a con artists bullshit. At no point do you block your feild of vision in a firefight. Or any fucking fight.
This is literally the dumbest shit I have ever seen. You fell for this? Lol
the only reason to use CAR is if you're in super close range. the point is to keep your gun secure.
At super close range there is zero reason to use sights. You can point and shoot from the hip. It's the most instinctive thing in the world. The gun is less secure in both hands near your fucking face with you blocking your own feild if vision than it is at waist level with a freehand near your chest ready to react. Or to act first.
If you knew anything about CAR you would know it teaches hip firing. We just keep two hands on the gun and get faster splits.
Every time you speak it gets worse. This is meme level stupid. It's movie garbage. Nothing you have said makes any sense in a real world situation.
>Nothing you have said makes any sense in a real world situation
Oh so now hip firing doesn't make sense?
It's the same thing just with two hands instead of one and it keeps the pistol even closer to your body.
Two hands = more retention
More retention = less recoil
Less recoil = faster splits
What doesn't make sense?
It's a fucking fact that CAR is faster in these scenarios. Especially against one handed fools such as yourself.
>It's movie garbage
I was practicing before John Wick, little zoom zoom.
Eye dominance from the eye experts
https://www.aao.org/eye-health/anatomy/eye-dominance
What the fuck is jon wick?
>>less recoil
That's not how that works.
splits
You are talking to a cfd competitor so you should just stop.
in these senerios
No, it isn't. It's slower, awkward and you are taking away a free hand while also cutting off your own feild of vision.
If you can't see the enemy you are fucking already dead.
This is dipshit level stuff.
That is how it works.
If you had two hands on your gun you would also experience less recoil.
>You are talking to a cfd competitor so you should just stop.
I've seen people try CAR and instantly improve their times. Time is important inna gun fight my fampiedesudesu.
>It's slower, awkward
Only if you don't know what you're doing
>cutting off your own feild of vision.
>If you can't see the enemy you are fucking already dead.
Can you not remember the scenario?
Bad guys already on us, field of vision is already blocked because you're seated inna fucking vehicle.
The level of stupid you have achieved is mind boggling. I have obviously encountered you on a couple of threads here. You are seriously world record levels of willfully ignorant. You are clearly a mark. Don't breed. You need to not taint the gene pool any more than your parents already have. Amazing. Amazing someone as stupid as you can navigate the internet.
of vision blocked because you are seated in a vehicle.
Anon has never been in a vehicle before.
>You are talking to a cfd competitor so you should just stop.
What does computation fluid dynamics have to do with anything and why should I listen to an aerospace engineer about shooting form?
Holy butthurt samefagg all over the place
Nah I just saw your comment and didn't know wtf you meant by CFD.
Fast draw
With one hand you can put your other hand between you and the future doctor to stop him from grabbing your gun, which is realistically your only threat if you find yourself in a situation where you have a gun and the other guy does not.
I'm not using one hand only unless I really need too.
Have a cry about it cunt.
It's a fact that two hands offers more retention and less recoil.
>MUH VISION
>OH LAWD I CANT SEE
Ever here of windows or A and B pillars?
>>can't see out of windows
I'm not sure how retarded you are, but I'm guessing there is a full time bicycle helmet situation going on
>>two hands means less recoil
No corky. The recoil will always be the same no matter how many hands you have.
a system that suggests blocking your own feild of vision in a firefight isn't a complete fraud
You making them grilled cheese at night?
The window, A pillar and B pillar blocks some of your precious peripheral vision already.
Two hands control recoil better than one hand.
>but muh field of vision
We aren't searching for charlie in the jungles of nam. We're mag dumping into an already established threat in our personal space or outside our car window. I don't need to search for him.
He's right fucking there.
>>the window is blocking my view
Lmfao you are dumb
>>we aren't searching for people
You should be they run in packs and never attack fair one on one. Another will jump in at any moment.
Make me a grilled cheese bitch
>I can see through window frames and pillars
Yeah okay...
>ya gotta do the tacticool look back and forth and search for additional threats!!!!1
Sure.
You're acting like I default to CAR 100% of the time. That's not how it's supposed to be used. It has advantages in certain situations as well as drawbacks just like shooting with one hand (which should be the absolute last resort)
CAR has one major disadvantage, that is its a larp for dipshits.
Stellar argument you have there bit two hands shoot better than one hand.
Two hands takes longer.
Retarded
>I have no idea how CAR works
Yeah, I know.
As soon as the gun come out of the holster and is on the hip your support hand should already be there to brace the gun if your using CAR properly.
If you're not firing from the hip then it's the same story. Your support hand is already there and ready to brace the gun as soon as it comes up.
It's not slower than one hand.
I've said it multiple fucking times but I guess I'll try again. One handed shooting is a last resort. One hand offers dog shit retention, poor recoil management, shit accuracy and slower follow up shots. Unlike CAR which is great at all of those things at close range at the cost of a little bit of your precious pErIpHeRaL vIsIoN.
>can’t see 11
Is this a joke?
Obviously. Could you imagine showing up in February and trying this shit in QCB? You would never live it down.
This is a joke right? Nobody actually does this do they?
It's not a joke.
It works very well when seated in a vehicle or when threats are very close.
Police and SWAT were trained this way back in the day. You can still see some of this training remain especially the CAR "combat high" position
?si=TvSSrHXolow60Pnr
and swat were trained this way back in the day
I can assure you they were not.
Some of them were.
There's videos of Paul teaching classes with police, SWAT and national guard. He went around the country teaching it to police departments.
Cry about it.
It does look goofy, yes. But it is useful and even superior in certain situations
>sitting inna car
>very close encounters
If instaspam larperators were doing it you homosexuals would be all over it.
People fall for trendy bullshit and scams every day. You for example. You watched John Wick and then came here preaching this dumpster fire labeled a technique to a bunch of kids that wack off to cartoons, military veterans, alphabet agents and the like clueless about how dumb you sound.
>You watched John Wick and then came here preaching this dumpster fire
Wrong.
I haven't seen any of those movies.
I knew about CAR and was practicing LONG before the movies came out.
It's not the end all be all. It's just a fucking method of retention that you can use when firing from inside a vehicle or in close encounters. It works. Why does it make you fucking internet kommandos so fucking asshurt?
>>was larping back before the movies
OK there little fella
So do you have any real objections to CAR besides "it looks le silly larp" or are you just here to be a homosexual?
the fact CAR violates all common sense.
Sure you fucking retard. It fucks with your feild of sight.
>>you don't need to see what you use it
Retard level larp
>>two hands equals more control/someone taking firearm
You would have to first show a significant control issue with one hand that hasn't reared its ugly head in a few hundred years now first
2, why the fuck are you wrestling with a gun for it? If you have it in you nobody should be able to take it. They make holsters for positive control. And if you are drawing it you should be firing it.
>>it's faster
The fuck it is retard. I can fucking hit a human size target 10 yards in front on me in fractions of a second from when it clears the holster one handed.
>>but they are close homosexualry
Then you draw with one hand and put the other in there God damn face or grab their hands and unload..
>>but I saw it on TV and it made my pee pee hard.
If you gave a retard a pistol CAR is how he would aim it. Retarded. You look retarded.
>>in a car...
Go ahead and shoot in a confined space with your God damn eyeball 2 inches from the slide numb nuts.
>>my eyepro
You thought it, you are a larping moron.
>It fucks with your feild of sight.
Not really. We're talking about 7 yards here
>no one has ever wrestled a gun out someone's hand in 200 years
Doubt
>it's not faster
CAR can be fired right out of the holster as well. Follow up shots and reloads are faster with CAR than one handed. It often takes multiple shots with a handgun to put someone down. CAR is faster
>Then you draw with one hand and put the other in there God damn face or grab their hands and unload
Or I can pump 7 rounds into them in one second and end the fight right there while you're fucking around with love taps
>Go ahead and shoot in a confined space with your God damn eyeball 2 inches from the slide numb nuts.
I will. It's not a problem because this stance offers the best retention in confined spaces
I don't need eye pro
The fact in the first line you make it clear that you are tunnel vision on one target and are in no way interested in keeping complete situational awareness let's everyone on this board know you have no idea what you are talking about.
post
CAR needs to be also reinforced primarily as a movement technique.
The other reason Isoceles took over besides armor coverage is Isoceles movement technique - you can move in isoceles and CAR effectively - 99% of the time trying to move and shoot in chapman is going to end up pseudo isoceles.
Real CAR uses the the left eye when shooting right handed and the gun is very close to the face (but maybe not as close as that pic related)
>new hotness
Cira what, 2004?
Actually makes a lot of sense to me. Eveyone has different bodies and quirks about them, understanding your body is gonna lead to the best results.
>Do you shoot with the basedsoclees larper stance, or with the chad chapman marksman stance?
I shoot with all the stances.
>Chapman stance
You mean Weaver stance. That was pioneered by Jack Weaver.
Chapman stance is flawed because when you adopt a firm grip on the gun, the natural angle of your wrist won't line the weapon sights with your eye if your elbow is also locked. It will be off by a good 30 degrees or more.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/182797963176?hash=item2a8f9b8fa8:g:n-sAAOSw3pVZzxkN&amdata=e
Isosceles, if you actually shot guns you’d know
Iso is for manlets that shoot comped 9mm. Weavervhads use the more rhobust stance to combat their magnum carry gun's recoil.
why do you all sound like edo period samurai talking about the right way to draw your cermonial swords
Because you are a fucking weeaboo
Holy shit, botkin is really a twink.
Who knows.
One hand, instinctive aiming
I like the russian idea that aiming is really just as simple as pointing your finger at people
You ever point at something and miss?
depends on the distance and the size of the target I guess. but what do I know
Modified weaver > everything else
that pic reminds me of my favorite LGS

retrain yourself to be right eye dominant. when I started shooting competition i had to because shooting weaver wasn't an option when leaning around barricades.
turn your head until you can't see the sights with your left eye, or cover it. you'll eventually adapt. slowly reintroduce your left eye back but Iinentionally look through only your right eye.
I was left eye dominant the first time I did the test when I was younger. Couple times I tested right eye dominant.
I simply refused to be wrong eye dominant and retrained myself.

I hold my gun however feels most comfy, and improve my groups with minor tweaks from there.
Doing what someone else does doesn't always work for you. Be unoriginal, and you will limit yourself. Develop YOUR technique instead of forcing yourself into someone else's
>Do you shoot with the basedsoclees larper stance, or with the chad chapman marksman stance?
I typically shoot with a gun.
is there a thing where you pull the gun close to your chest have it there in a stationary postion while aiming with body movements? point shooting kinda?
Yes.
CAR
not that sideways stance, like squared frontal.
Like this?
exactly
>When Robert finally files his life insurance policy
>whatever i'm facing gets the shits
Not a real stance, it’s just retracting your stance momentarily, generally because you’re worried about getting grabbed.
You know there is a shooting stance that's great to use if someone is trying to grab your gun...
>used by people who shoot >50 yards with a handgun
but it’s not used regularly in any handgun target sport, where we do goofy shit like pic related, and it’s also not used by modern action shooters, who do use isosceles stance for moving quickly between targets and transitioning quickly from shooting to moving (i gather from watching, i shoot target not action)
so should I raise my shoulder or not?
Not about raising shoulder, its about locking arm straight and aiming down it like a rifle stock
I don't understand the people who say angling makes you a smaller target. There's next to zero difference unless you're full on facing sideways.
because no one likes to learn unless its learning no excuses for doing the thing you've always done.
Blading only makes sense when the guys muzzle is right on you, crouching / kneeling & prone / on your back makes a bigger difference.
Do you really get into weaver when you grapple or is it only when you're under no pressure whatsoever?

Having one stance for both rifle & pistol also makes sense.
I shoot like a gentleman
Isoceles because I was taught that in the army and I want to do reserve later.
>Huddle behind your vest, man, don't expose your sides.
In every picture of some homosexual using this larp they are committing at least one fundamental flaw that could mean life and death. Every single fucking one. This CAR shot is what NOT to do.
See if you can spot the fundamental flaws
This one is the damn guy that invented it and it's beyond retarded.
The hits just keep coming. Lol. This is obviously a movie larp.
Or that if I am the dead one, the other fucker will remember me as they suffer the lifelong disabilities I shoved up their ass and down their throats.
>>when I commit violence
You don't, never have.
You we wouldn't know an ass beating from an ass fucking. Common to be conflated by homosexuals like yourself. I intentionally shot my first person in a third party self defense before I was 10. It's been less than 6 months since I sent a person to the hospital with a concussion and dislocated shoulder on one of my shifts as a strip club shift manager. You're going to sign for your tab, you're not driving home in your vehicle due to bard laws. Now swallow that dogs load you feltched out of your trans partners asshole and get back to dying of AIDS you insufferable troon.
Neither. My dicks so big, I'm a human tripod.
