Guns in Oregon

What can I bring into Oregon? I’m gonna be hanging out in the state for a month or so. What can non residents carry/keep in an airbnb?

I don't know if it's a common thing to have on menus in America, but parmigiana is my go to pub food order.

Depends on the county and conditions of the gat. Urban areas are more strict in how you carry or how you transport. Most cops don't care as long as you are being smart and not stirring shit up. The memes about it being a lawless hell scape are greatly exaggerated despite how cool that sounds. Druggies generally care about drugs and that's it. Just use best practices don't leave shit in your car and don't be dumb in places you don't belong.

Literally don't even worry. Southern Oregon is beautiful as is CL. Lots of little places to explore. I recommend the Jacksonville area for old mining town vibes and hitting up the table rocks for moon vibes.

Don't bother because they're just going to pass some judicial nullification law and make it illegal anyway.

Losing? I have been gaining bro. So many gains. I know the mainstream and B stream media likes to use Oregon as a target, but they don't live here.

the only thing you cant bring is 80% lowers (unfished or finished with no s/n), polymer80's, or 3d printed guns. no loaded guns in certain cities limits unless it's a pistol and you have CCW reciprocity.

thats it, have fun. it's not a bad state. (yet)

anything you want thats federally legal our gun laws are super lax you can even open carry them all (measure 114 is still in court)

Going to crater lake you should be fine. It is a national park so make sure you're comply with federal, state, and local laws while within it's boundaries. If you have to go through Bend to get to the park go straight through and don't stay there. If you want to play it safe bring marked 10 round mags or something that is natively 10 or under like a single stack 1911 or a Px4 in .45. There's no guarantee every cop you encounter will know or even care that prop 114 got the axe, especially the farther west you go. ≤10 round mags is a prudent counter to that. Concealed carry reciprocity does not exist. It does no matter what permit you have if it's not an Oregon permit, the state doesn't honor it and you can be arrested. Open carry is however legal in most of the state.

The "unconstitutional" verdict against prop 114 is still in place last I looked so mags over 10 rounds are still good to go. The state has begun the appeal process in an effort to allow that abortion of a law to go into effect though. Good rule of thumb is if you have to go west of I-197 and I-97 treat it like you're going to California or NYC. You can't get a non-resident Oregon permit unless you live in CA, NV, ID, or WA and only some counties (like Malhuer) will generally give them without a hassle. Do NOT forget that Portland and Salem basically get to dictate terms to the rest of the state which is how 114 got passed and why the whole "Greater Idaho" thing still has so much steam behind it.

Stay the frick away from the Portland area period.

Okay homosexuals, here's the secret to legal carry in oregon.
Oregon only recognizes its own CCW permit, and does not grant them unless you live in a county in WA/ID/CA/NV that borders oregon.

    But here's the secret:
Oregon ORS 166.460 exempts antique firearms from ORS 166.250 (carrying without a permit).

So you can legally carry a old cap and ball revolver (or genuine pre-1898 antique) and they cannot charge you with unlawful possession
