Found this 12 year old video of (Russian?) Gopniks test firing a baikal BB gun they've shittily converted to .22. Surprisingly it works?

It's really not that impressive once you realize you basically only need a new barrel and firing pin for a Baikal MP654

      >popping off rounds with an illegal pistol in broad daylight in what seems to be a city or town
      >backstop is just some corner of a building with a commieblock behind it
People living there really don't give a shit do they? It is Russia after all lmao

The Baikal to .22 has been a commonly known conversion in Europe for a while

Look them up they are easily found in foreign languages. Though you don’t really need them if you know how a gun works.

Those bbs are like 70% original gun parts made in the same factory as thw real ones.

nah, they are made of ergal and other weak metals. anything more than a 22 will blow them up. ask me how I know

Did you also thing a .380 would work? Because I sure did

Best bet for centerfire on these is probably 25 or 32 at max, these little shits can in no way handle 380.

Older models were of real parts as far as I'm aware, russian laws changed about it.
Can't remember about the specific model numbers though.

I had the older ones, they were never made of real parts but at some point they moved away from steel.

Looks like some of them are pretty much the real deal. Some banned from import too lol.

    >baikal BB gun
Ain't that just a standard PMM grip/lower tho?
It would be real funny if they just took out of spec PMM's from the assembly line, plugged the barrel and drilled a small hole enough to fit BBs, attached a small pump cylinder to compress air and called it a day.

i wouldn't be surprised if that's what they did

      >Ain't that just a standard PMM grip/lower tho?

I heard they reuse most of the parts.
Why not, when you already have the line set up?

I wouldn't be surprised. Look at the pyramydair links above; the Tokarev is so close to the real thing it even has the cuts to fit an extractor they don't include.

      >The clever engineers at IZH used the original firearm barrel to align the BB barrel in the gun. This is a practice now being used by larger manufacturers such as Remington. This is called “stubbing” the barrel. It guarantees alignment of the smaller caliber barrel because it’s centered inside the already-fitted barrel.
      LOL

      >Original rifled barrel adds realism to the BB pistol.
FRICK take me back to a time where BB pistols were just built inside real guns.
