Yeah I've had spent casings deflect off the walls of the booth and onto my face/neck before. It didn't hurt very bad but just bear in mind that you MUST NOT try to brush yourself off while holding the gun, plenty of fun vids of dummies shooting themselves in panic
>Is this a real tip? Should I tuck my shirt?
Yes. Story time >be me, last Saturday >at the range with new shooter >made a point of telling her to wear something tight fitting and a high collar because brass >had shirt tucked behind appendix holster because of sweat build up >piece of 9mm brass bounces off the divider and into holster >holster funnels it directly into my testicles >mfw >she laughs at me for about 5 minutes
Isn't there going to be an instructor for the first time? I remember my first time there was a range instructor that made us go through the basics and then had us start with an airgun before moving on to firearms.
>listen carefully to what Range Office/Instructor would teach you >regardless of the gun, grip it strongly >if you shoot a magazine fed gun, is perfectly reasonable to at first load only 1 or 2 bullets into the magazine, as you get used to and be less nervous about the gun >always keep the gun pointing to the range, even if you are putting to a side while you reload your magazine, or sending a msg in your phone >dont buy the most expensive neither the cheapest ammo available for your gun, cheap ammo will cause malfunctions that you do not want to deal with as a true beginner, and most expensive ammo is a waste in a beginner shooter while it may be a bit louder than regular so it could scare you off a bit more >dont know what to do? ALWAYS ask your range office/instructor but always leaving or keeping the gun pointed to the range
I kind of feel like there should be something on there about the importance of a few shots of hard alcohol before shooting but I don't want to displace any of those valuable rules either.
Weed is scarier IMO. I got really high once, read this story about a guy like 20 miles away cutting off his dad's head while very high himself. Doctors called it cannabis induced psychosis. Dude said it felt like some outside force was controlling his body, and he had to watch helplessly as it did that shit against his will. Me stoned out of my mind, got super paranoid the same would happen to me. Started thinking of all the ways I could hurt people. Started worrying thought would become action and I wouldn't be able to stop it. So I did the sensible thing, and loaded a gun and sat in my bathtub all night promising myself I'd end it if I felt my self slipping.
I literally spent a week in a hospital psych ward after this. On the bright side I don't smoke weed anymore which is a good thing. I'm pretty sure it really is literally a gateway drug, except the gateway leads to demonic possession.
>Police shot him with two rubber bullets when he refused to co-operate; he seemed oblivious to these shots. They deployed a conducted energy weapon. When asked his name he responded "Adam, the Devil" in a voice different than his own.
It's most often the case psychosis victims blackout during their episodes. They don't have any memory of doing or saying the things they did. Maybe someone else has more information on it, but I've never heard of a victim being fully aware and claiming to feel as though they were being controlled.
You're a headcase dude. Everyone can have negative or intrusive thoughts like that, but they don't control you. Thoughts, feelings, and emotions are like fallen leaves floating down a stream; they come and they go. Youre the one that decides what your body does. You aren't your thoughts, you've gotta trust yourself, you know you don't want to hurt anyone.
Anyway, weed is gay, just have a beer.
Well yes, that's how a healthy person functions. Not everyone is healthy all the time though. Some people experience periods of mental instability that makes dealing with this stuff much harder. Some really unfortunate people experience it their whole life.
I grew up around genuinely mentally ill people. Their episodes literally seems like they're possessed, other times it's like they're in a dream world, but still aware of the surroundings. They get medications sure, but they also get taught how to recognize that thoughts, anxieties and negative emotions will pass. Everything good and bad passes with time. Not getting caught up in them and looking at the bigger picture is what's important. Whatever internal turmoil or sensations are eating you can be quenched by looking around you at how other people are behaving and acting; you'll realize everything is fine, and you are safe.
You are right though, I make it sound easy, and the unhealthy have serious difficulty with this, but severely unhealthy folk like that are rare, and the drug abusing youth that get caught up in their emotions are more common. Eventually they grow up because actively making things worse for yourself adds unnecessary suffering.
>Police shot him with two rubber bullets when he refused to co-operate; he seemed oblivious to these shots. They deployed a conducted energy weapon. When asked his name he responded "Adam, the Devil" in a voice different than his own.
Mother. Fricking. Demons.
This is clearly a case of demonic possession and not wee intoxication. People smoking without PPE (rosary, holy water, crucifix) smdh.
What's my purpose in this world, where do I fit in? These are the questions I ask myself, and not in a "meaning of life" or "purpose of the universe" metaphysical bullshit. I mean personally, what position should I be in to do the most good for the world and do right by other people. Where can I succeed in making the world a better place, because right now it seems like I'm useless just about everywhere, and most of the time I just make things worse even if I'm not intending to.
You too? It's weird, I have no inherent problem with coomer stuff even but there's something about her pose or something maybe that grates and I can't quite put my finger on it.

You guys too? I think it's the angle of her back, the arch seems too extreme
Pop off a round right next to each ear, and do so every time you go to the range. Not only are you acclimatizing yourself to the sounds of combat, but you're also building up an immunity and will soon no longer need hearing protection.
have fun, everything else will be explained
Ok. Favorite anime girl?
Keep your gun pointed down range at all times.
Probably Eclaire. Lumeire is bonus points because she CCs a .357 COP.
pretty based taste there surprised others still remember that series
EMILIA
Cute
there's nothing fun about it.
Shoot the target stands.
use the action button
Learn the basic and biggest 4 rules and apply them, devote them to memory, never frick them up and you will never frick yourself up.
So that's trigger discipline, muzzle discipline, backdrop and always treat as loaded?
This is wise
pee beforehand so you don't have to leave and go pee during
Put it in your mouth.
Undress
tip 2: wear a tight fitting shirt that hot brass can't get into
Is this a real tip? Should I tuck my shirt?
I'm not doing anything obviously silly
yes and it's the collar of the shirt you have to worry about
Damn my shirts not too tight but not necessarily loose either
Yeah I've had spent casings deflect off the walls of the booth and onto my face/neck before. It didn't hurt very bad but just bear in mind that you MUST NOT try to brush yourself off while holding the gun, plenty of fun vids of dummies shooting themselves in panic

Should've followed your own advice dummy.
I have a scar on the side of my nose and eyebrow where a 7.62x39 case from my sks bounced off the roof and into my face getting stuck in my glasses.
Was stuck there for a good 5 seconds while I put down the gun and got it out. Surprised it left a scar
had something similar happen with 9mm, though got it out faster than that
Hot brass in the shirt is a real thing. Avoid shirts with cleavage, and leave it untucked so casings roll out the bottom.

Ask whoever you're shooting with if his rifling is triple twisted. You'll really impress him with your gun knowledge!
Inform the RO of your seething hatred of blacks and israelites. He'll get you the good lane.
Isn't there going to be an instructor for the first time? I remember my first time there was a range instructor that made us go through the basics and then had us start with an airgun before moving on to firearms.
It's a family member. He's taught people before.
Press don’t jerk trigger.
1. Don't point the gun at yourself or anyone else at anytime.
2. Squeeze the trigger don't pull.
Which is it. I guess I'll be told anyway
Remember: Switching to your pistol is always faster than reloading.
And be careful not to get tracked easy
make sure you depress the trigger, don't press it or squeeze it
Don't forget your buttplug
>listen carefully to what Range Office/Instructor would teach you

Transitioning to your sidearm is faster than reloading
dont shoot your eye out kid
don't point the gun at anyone even if it's really funny
>except Black folk
Do not die
Do not die other people
Do not not wear ear pluggers
I want to shoot my seed into her vegana, if you catch my drift.
We finished. It went well and was fun. We shot .22s, 9mm, and .223. now I need a job to buy my own
This should be all you need anon, but most importantly have a good time!
Please don't be a dumbass and follow any of these instructions.
Thanks mom
Great joke dude.
Other than number 2 nothing on that list is even wrong. You’re kind of being a little pussy my guy
Again great humor.

Very unbelievable story.

bro this is why they ASK you if you're addicted marijuana on the ATF form. do you think the government doesn't know about the demons?
If someone's moronic their gonna do moronic stuff, weed present or not.
just dont smoke if you feel youre a lil schizo

find some guns you like and become a master with it. get fit enough to carry it around in the woods like an autist. i recommend a battle rifle
Keep it pointed down range at all times, and have a good time.
Don't have a nice day or your friends.
Keep it pointed downrange. If you catch a piece of hot brass or the gun does something weird keep it pointed down range.
double up on ear pro if indoors, shit is loud
something about this picture pisses me off. Not any of the other ones in this thread just this one and I dont know why
It reminds me of one of the clip art dress up games I’d jerk off to on newgrounds when I was like 12
You too? It's weird, I have no inherent problem with coomer stuff even but there's something about her pose or something maybe that grates and I can't quite put my finger on it.
glad to know im not the only insane person
You guys too? I think it's the angle of her back, the arch seems too extreme
Always look into the barrel with one eye after you’ve chambered, to make sure the bullet isn’t misaligned.
Do you know what kind of guns you'll be shooting?

Ya mudda
I just noticed your thread question for the first time rather then the naked anime girl op. Sorry.
