Man I still remember the days before .webm's. I remember when .webm's were first enabled on PrepHole and still have the first one I ever saved from /v/. Still can't believe moron moot hasn't raised the file size limit to a reasonable standard in the year of our Lord 2023.
How many times is a sig going to have to fucking go off without interaction before you gays realize they’re a shit company with shit products that have a great paint job? How many discharge scandals to they have across their product lines? How many guns break from their contracts? They. Are. Shit. Get a glock, get a walther, get a smith. None of those have had the nd problems that sigs have.
How big is she? >verging on e-boi heights
Anything semi-auto in .22, then just go up from there until she's comfortable >average
Whatever 9mm carbine looks interesting to her, then slowly work her up to something in 5.56 >Amazonian/BIG BERTHA
FAL
get her something that's not a pain in the ass to shoot and won't lock up on her, Beretta 92 or something similar would be cool, or a revolver that can shoot both 38 and 357 so you can work her into beefier rounds if she feels like it.
The problem with most 380 guns is that they're designed for carry and thus super lightweight, and direct blowback instead of locked action.
So you end up with super stiff slides that are hard for women to rack, and significantly more jarring recoil impulse, sometimes worse than 9mm.
You might want to consider a Glock 42 or 43, the 42 on 380 especially has extremely comfortable grips for small hands.
They're light, not expensive, reliable, etc.
Thats true for most 380s but it also seems like quite a few brands make a 380 version of on of their 9mils. I have the ruger lc380 for example and its a pleasure to shoot. The glock 42 you mentioned is another good example along with the sig p365 380
Ruger LCR. Retard-proof, reliable, probably lethal cartridge. No gayass ftf problems because it's a Thursday, humidity is above 40%, and Jupiter is in retrograde. Will not ftf because your wrist is limp. No slide to rack.
Downsides include the very limited capacity, and the fact that it shoots pretty snappy.
My wife has a p365, along with a M&P Bodyguard, an m9 and an AR. Of those the p365 is what I'd recommend for you.
There's a .380 version of the p365 with rose accents literally made for chicks.
Let her handle a bunch and then shoot a few. Gun comfort is a individual thing. New shooters especially might find one gun easier to shoot than another. Also depends on the application.
In my experience women like mid-size handguns that don't recoil excessively. Big enough to control easily but still small enough for their hands. An ex I took shooting hated J-frames and similar "womens guns" and found single-stack 9mm pistols were her favorite.
Take her to a rental range and get her to try a couple of pistols and a couple of rifles, get her what she wants for the kind of shooting she wants.
A 10/22 is a great plinker and easy shooting target rifle but it makes a terrible CCW.
The correct answers.
You cannot just pick out a gun for someone else. They have to choose one for themselves.
Charter Arms Bulldog. 5 shot .38 Special should be more than enough for one-offs. Large enough grip to get a good purchase to make recoil comfortable and controllable even to newbies. Factory available lasergrip. Two shades of pink available to most closely match her cooter.
But more realistically this: Personal preference is hard to predict but it is the biggest factor in someone actually enjoying carrying/shooting. I was teaching a grill to shoot a month ago and was surprised that she loved the 92FS over everything else. Handlets absolutely destroyed.
Take her to a rental range and get her to try a couple of pistols and a couple of rifles, get her what she wants for the kind of shooting she wants.
A 10/22 is a great plinker and easy shooting target rifle but it makes a terrible CCW.
Typically a 9mm pistol or AR-15, same as most men would buy only if she has smaller hands she might prefer a pistol with a slimmer grip profile.
9mm when fired out of a recoil operated pistol that's not a tiny pocket gun is fairly manageable, it's an effective caliber for defense, ammunition cost isn't too expensive. If she just wants to learn the basics of shooting and doesn't really care about defense maybe a .22LR pistol would be better due to recoil and ammo cost, but for most people personal protection is a concern so 9mm tends to be the best option.
As for the AR-15 it's the most common rifle sold in America, it's cost-effective, the caliber is affordable and low recoil, and typically the rifle is adjustable for people of different statures. Plus the rifle is lightweight, easy to learn how to use, easy to maintain, reliable so long as it is maintained and very combat effective.
So to give a boring answer an AR-15 of some sort and something like a Glock 19, which would probably be a Glock 19.
I'm thinking of getting my wife a gun she would like. Keep in mind she is 120lb and has very little grip strength. >She can't rack my Glock 17 >The Glock 17 hurt her hand after a mag
I was thinking of getting her some sort of 380. I don't know of any good 380s.
A 380 in a platform typically meant for a 9mm is usually good. the sig p364 380, the glock 25 or 42. The beretta tomcat in 32acp is good too and it has a nifty tipup barrel. The keltec p32 is nice to shoot as well
>The keltec p32 is nice to shoot as well
does it have a whole lot less recoil than the 380 version? i have that, and a beretta in 32 but kinda hard to imagine how 32 would feel in the keltec. the 380 is quite harsh.
havnt tried the 380 but the 32 is about the same size and still a locked breach design so the recoil isnt harsh. i would however put a gripsleave on because the grips are honestly kinda too thin so there isnt much to hold on too.I also have a 25acp beretta and thats comfy too aling with my ruger lc380
other advice already good in this thread
just dont go for the smallest gun you see, a girl i know did and its a pos that jams bullets all the fucking time.
But yeah go to a range and trying out some first isnt a bad idea
Beretta tomcat in 32 acp.. small format, tip up barrel doesn’t require slide to be racked to load a round.. also tip up barrel makes it real easy to see if she’s left it loaded or something when she sets it down at a range…. 32 acp is a little harder to find but realistically how much ammo do you think she’s gonna go through…
My woman carries P938 and 1911. SAO is her preference. Very easy for her to rack the slides on them. Best thing to do, though, is to go the a range and rent a bunch to see what she likes.
Same here anon. Congrats on starting a fun journey with your gf. I think it's best to get a full size 9mm. Something that is very soft shooting. Women don't like getting beat up by recoil. I'd get a glock 17
Whatever it is it must be PINK. Every part must be duracoated PINK. Also can't be too powerful! Gotta be no higher than a .380! A PINK .380!
Seriously though, just take her to a range and let her fingerfuck some guns then rent some of the ones she likes. If she really likes one and it's not going to break the bank then get her one.
Did you know that despite making up only a single planet in the entire galaxy, Troqs are responsible for over fifty percent of interstellar crime?
Dont you think it's odd that so many species separated by many lightyears have an automatically negative reaction to Tamaranians? That everywhere they go, they seem to be rejected and cast out? They have no allies, and a list of enemies as long as my arm, from the Gordanians to the Drenthax, to the Centauri, even on primitive worlds creatures still living in caves react with immediate fear to seeing a Tamaranian going through puberty. They have endless, meaningless, generational wars with every race they encounter. They've reduced their homeworld to a barren waste. They crudely ape after the ruling classes of other planets, but have you ever seen them eat? They throw themselves onto their tables in a big pile, scrabbling and screaming and shoveling everything into their mouths.
Did you know that Tamaranians have no word for Kindness? That they consider qualities like mercy and compassion completely foreign?
Did you know that Tamaranian powers were fueled by specific emotions? Flight is powered by joy. Consider all the killing and brutalizing of other races that they do while filled with childlike glee.
They might look somewhat normal on the outside, but Troqs are in the most literal sense monstrous imbeciles, cobbled together mutts of fifty different races with the cobbled together brains to match.
Something in .22lr, but not specifically 'small'/'covert' pistols, those are harder to handle ironically and generally have uncomfortably heavy triggers. Don't worry about 'muh stopping power' no such thing, .22lr has enough if not exactly as much penetration in tissue as you'd need to hit vitals but not(generally) overpenetrate.
Obviously the trick is to buy a gun that you want, say that it is for her to borrow, keep it at your house so she doesn't start thinking of it as her own, and when she inevitably loses interest congratulations, it's already yours and one you wanted.
My tiny fiancee's order of preference:
1. M&P 5.56 pistol
2. Shield 1.0 in 9mm (she almost shot a drunk through the door with this one at like 3 AM, very based)
3. M16A5
S&W is the best one after the FiveseveN, it comes with a threaded barrel by default, has a internal hammer like the fn, is not a brick like the ruger or psa, has a meme action. It's a great choice for a 5.7mm pistol.
women arent mentally stable enough for gun ownership. they are far too emotional to actually use one in an emergency not to mention they have pathetic coordination and strength to physically use one
I had a Taiwanese (but ethnically Chinese so she wasn't short and brown) gf for a while. Didn't like the P32, LCP, or Smith J-frame. Did like Sig P225 and Ruger Redhawk oddly enough. She was more resistant to snappy/flippy guns than a big ol' hoss.
What's she using it for?
If concealing, I'd say the Shield Plus was very nice, not too snappy. You can also get it with a safety. If she needs something stupid simple, just get an airweight/lady smith.
Nothing pink, no SCCY, don't treat her like she's retarded.
If just for fun, get her a metal 9mm so the recoil is more forgiving.
handgunhero.com is a great place to get stats, make sure she can handle one irl before purchase and if she can rent and shoot it at a range even better.
Snub nose .38special
Small, light. Simple to use, no dexterity or complex thoughts needed. 5rounds of fuck off rounds is enough. Women aren't going to get into gun fights like men do.
Small revolvers aren't easy for inexperienced shooters to control. The light weight and short grip means they jump around a lot. J-frame was probably my ex's least favorite gun to shoot.
Hence why you have them shoot them first to see if that's gonna be a problem. I feel like the snappiness problem is somewhat mitigated by the reliability advantages, especially since a purse gun is probably not going to be shot at anything more than the length of a room.
something she can actually manipulate the controls on. On a lot of handguns have slide releases or mag releases that are too far forwards for people with short fingers to reach or get good leverage on.
As long she is not unusually weak or small, anything not retarded strong is ok. No problems with my sig or cz75, both in 9 luger, first and second time shooting. Just make sure she can grip it well, and that you find Shooting the gun comfortable yourself. At any rate, 22 pistol is to play it safe, or perhaps an antique 25 auto one. Just don't fall for the pink gun meme.
Why does your gf want guns when she can shoot laser beams out of her hands?
Can't alien girls have guns too?
Because guns are cool? What question is that?
A Famas

mine likes her p365. shes very petite and the slim small grip helps a lot with printing

make your point with words gay. its a good gun with a good track record.
Not that same anon but all I have do to is point to the P250's dog shit younger brother the P320 and you immediately eat shit
no, you dont. you dont know what youre talking about. youre another midwit who just likes to chime in with '>sig'
i didnt say anything about the p320 did i? i am fully aware thats a dog turd and i laugh with everybody else at the fact its the new service pistol.
