Germany delivers Vulcano: 80km range, laser and GPS guided howitzer shells

Some samples have been used in the past for "special" smooker duty, a few hundred more are delivered right now by the Bundeswehr.
Vulcano has been in development since 1999 at Leonardo in different sizes, initiated by the Netherland and Italien marine. Vulcano 155 GPS/SAL (GPS and laser guided) went into development in 2012 at Diehl Defence, production started in 2019.
While Mk 171 ERGM by Raytheon uses additional rocket propulsion, thus reducing the payload, Vulcano has a range of 80km by using higher muzzle speeds and better aerodynamics, wings are used to steer.
Almost all advanced NATO 155mm howitzers can shoot it, but the lowest firing intervalls need special barrels and cooling, such as found in the PzH2000.
Precision is 1m over 80km, which beats the M982 Excalibur. It's basically the most advanced artillery ammunition available.
HIMARS and western howitzers have had quite some impact, as this Ukie says:

?t=562

The Russians will never know what hit them >;^)

Showing gratitude implies that you don’t need much more. Ukraine needs to imply the opposite (that it needs A LOT more) because the odds are greatly in Russia’s favor. Everyone’s like this but Ukrainian entitlement is especially visible because the west enables it like it enables BLM and chimpouts

Fair enough. Germany is commited to help the Ukies till the end, with money and material. I know the narrative around here is that they aren't, but the facts suggest otherwise.
Despite them tanking their economy for the sanctions.

              >the narrative around here is that they aren't
It truly isn't "the narrative." It's vatnik disinfobots sowing dissent and division. It's a deliberate tactic, not some sort of accident or consensus among anyone with a functioning brain. Any post complaining about Germany or France not delivering or refusing to cooperate is utter bullshit by trolls trying to derail the conversation(s), not a "narrative."

Ignore & scroll on. All of NATO is on board with funding, supporting, and seeing this through to the end. Which means pre-2014 borders plus restitution. Period.

Numerous countries are keeping OPSEC for many reasons, some of them even domestically political. Germany had a slightly slow start because they had a lot of domestic momentum that had to be shifted, but they've been solid for months now and only gearing up more and more every day. Not just for Ukraine, but for themselves and for other countries that have donated fucktons of equipment to Ukraine.

Stop bowing down to these retards.
What nobody ever talks about is the economic damage Germany is taking and dealing to Russia by halting the gas trade while delivering weapons, humanitarian aid and hard cash on top of that. Never mind all the gibs that preceded this war and playing the moderator between Russia and Ukraine for 8 years.
Damaging your own economy for the good of a nation without gaining anything from it is huge.
Europe got 40% of it's gas from Russia while Russia sells 86% of it's gas to Europe while they have to sell oil to India and China with a $35 pr. barrel discount to keep the boat afloat.
Russia now overproduces oil to keep the profit margins stable despite of the discounts and now sits on a massive amount of gas with no customer to buy it.
They made $55billion from gas in 2021 so you can roughly imagine how much they are losing.

The people doing Kabuki about Germany's alleged inaction are uneducated, or have a fat hateboner.
Economic sanctions don't go boom so it doesn't stimulate their small brains.

I dont get how do they make components out of reletively brittle materials like glass and pure silicon for that matter that survive the 1000g acceleration out of the barrel and still function.
If you shoot a standard industrial grade microcontroller out at that acceleration you would end up with nothing but a bunch of glass and epoxy dust.

When it comes to laser guidance I guess you could more or less make that analog, but when you need GPS you need a processor for GPS signal decryption, INS in case the signal gets jammed and more advance guidance algorithms that would be non trivial to implement in analog logic, all of those features need components that cant handle those loads.

No the critics don't have a point, they just hate Germany.
An adequate amount of weapons and gear is being delivered and the economic damage dealt to Russia is severe.
In December the EU will stop oil imports over the sea, which makes up 2/3 of Russia's sales to the EU.
Putin will either have to sit on the losses or sell the oil for even less.
    Again:
The average monkey simply can't comprehend the impact of the sanctions since they don't make for nice explosion videos on Twitter and Telegram, that is until the Russians riot and hang Putin.

"Under the new billing system, gas payments will continue to be invoiced and sent in euros. The noteworthy change is that Russia will then take the money from the European energy company’s euro account, convert the euros into rubles, transfer the money into a special ruble account also belonging to the energy company, and then take the money once and for all.

“This is a transaction where everybody saves face,” said Alessandro Lanza, a professor at Rome’s LUISS University and a former economist at Eni, Italy’s major energy company."

I guess one could say EU is paying with Euro and then Putin does some mental gymnastics to say they payed in Ruble.
