I've seen some SF guys at a demonstration recently wearing a single AR mag on their belt at their 4 or 5 oclock, just behind the holster. For what purpose?
>MFW no friends to do shit like this with cuz those with guns aren't motivated to
Anyway, I need advice /gq/. I've owned a Haley D3CRX for the last two years. I have a lot of time wearing it, doing all sorts of manual labor and some rucking with it.
I don't hate my chest rig, but I also don't love it. It floats at a level of "good enough" most of the time. I don't care for the 4 pistol mag pouches, and usually two are empty. One carries a handheld light and the other carries a backup pistol mag.I added an AXL sandwich bag for admin, and I am now considering adding PALS extensions and/or a dangler for medical.
Before I throw more money at this rig, I want to ask more experienced nerds if I am on the right track or if I should be looking for a whole new chest rig instead? What would you do in my case?
All of Haley's products are poorly designed and shit for basically everything >D3CRM where you go prone and break all of your admin items and have 2 useless pistol mag pouches on the sides >D3CRX where you have 4 useless pistol mag pouches and it's too wide to fit on any plate carrier >D3CRXH where you get two oddly shaped zipper pouches and even more bullshit you can't use >Thorax which has zero innovative features and doesn't even have tubes >D3 belt which is identical to all other gunbelts >placard with fixed elastic tenspeeds on it so you have to stop using the tenspeeds or buy a whole new placard when the elastic gets worn out
Haley is a fricking moron who used ALICE gear for his whole USMC career in the 90s, and a basic Blackhawk chest rig when he worked for Blackwater. He knows absolutely nothing about designing gear and hasn't been in combat in almost 20 years.
He also almost cried on livestream when a bunch of other gun class guys basically called him a bloviating homosexual and said his classes were pseudoscience bullshit which didn't help anyone get better at shooting

lol heavy rig good. holds 3 diff platform mags and goes brrrr. >i keep my chicken nuggies in the big pouch and my fruit gummies in the small pouch for maximum jej
those add-ons should work with another chest rig if you eventually get rid of it. You can always take the pistol mag pouches off with a seam ripper (or razor) to get rid of them. Or sell it and get a slimmer chest rig. I can kind of understand GP or admin pouches on the front if you're playing Ricky Recon, but I never understood the 4x pistol mag pouches.
What size is the GP/utility pouch or which one is it? I've had in mind a magazine pouch and a GP pouch like that, but I'm unsure about the size of one. This seems perfect.
It's a Tyr Tactical IFAK, but it's 7” H x 5.5” W x 3” D according to their website. ATS has a 5.00 W × 8.00 H × 2.00 L Utility pouch for a good price you could check out
could be eye cross-dominance. i shoot pistol with right hand / left eye but rifle with left hand / left eye. so holster is on the right, pistol mags are on the left but rifle mag is on the right because i reload the rifle with my right.
Maybe so when they’re laying on thier belly mags they don’t gotta lift up if they gotta swap quick or there isn’t enough room in front of them for some situation

no, chinese wood never has either the concavity under the handguard or the strengthening pin just forward of it. You're right the spike wouldn't fit in a blade stock, unless the stock had material removed, which I think is the case. Also there appears to be a chip out of the varnish on the butt, but that could be something else. I've never seen chinese sks wood with chipping lacquer.
As for the shape of the stock in the handguard area, even this rare russian spike bayo model pictured here https://www.yooperj.com/SKS-27.htm has the straight cut spike bayonet stock profile you normally see on chinese spikers. The built up rounded area at the front of the stock is for blade bayonets only. I stand by my call, that is russian or possibly romanian wood on a chinese sks.
Haven't found any that don't compromise function, plus my palms and fingers are too cut up/calloused to make it necessary

id be curious of what others keep as sustainment gear. will post internals if theres interest.
Incredibly cool kit. I have a question regarding chest rig + lbe however, at a long rest how would you drop equipment? Would you dump off the lbe and keep the rig on no matter what? I have a chest rig setup for a "grab and go 24hrs no resup" that I absolutely never take off when innawoods. Extra sustainment kit/ammo/ranger roll is kept in a belt pack that I could dump in a real pickle and still have the 24hr bare minimum load to survive.
Please post internals, your gear seems very thought out and I'd like to see if I'm missing anything critical

red - LBE (top to bottom) - headlamp, writing kit) ifak (bleed trauma), battery bank, 20-30ft 550 cord, body/ass wipes, triangle bandage (useful for pre filter pilled water), cleaning kit, AA’s, puffy jacket/pillow, 60rnds, poncho/tarp, knife, 2qts water, purifying pills, snacks, lens cloth, GPS, 2 tourniquet, bandana, compass/mirror, 2 lights with tape, flagging, chapstick/ointment, gum, snooter, gerber, spoon.
blue - chest rig - radio+spare bat, writing gear, 120rnds.
yellow - overnight pack - hard shell rain jacket, socks, 6ltr dromedary, water pills, pnutbutter, GP pouch x2, one is for snacks the other is for a cooking kit if needed, base layer, sleeping bag liner (my tootsies get cold), more 550 cord.
my chest rig is severally lacking and i put a lot of priority in my belt. the chest rig was definitely added last so i’m trying to implement it but to answer you, i’d drop it before the belt.
tho like everything it’s dependent on the my scenario. if it was a shooting focused event then id prolly drop the belt and go rig.
my big thing is water. i live in the SW and water locally is almost exclusively sourced from infrastructure and i’m a big water fan personally hence so much with me.
this set up is for patrol, recon/observation and hit and run.
>this set up is for >patrol,
Larp. >recon/observation
Larp. >and hit and run.
Which will never, ever happen. Unless trophy elk hunting and all apply well. Nice kit, though.
Mad cool loadout tbh, it's unfortunate about your local water situation. I can get by with only a 3l Camelback and pills due to how many fresh water streams and lakes are in my area. On the other side of the coin however I almost need chest waders to navigate the woods without getting soaked.
What pack are you using? That's a similar sustainment (comfort) load to me and I have difficulty fitting it into any lumbar pack system
for 1-2 days, i have a AWS assault pack. it’s a tight fit but it forces me to be picky and not over do it. for multi day sustained movements i have a modern alice frame with a FILBE. more than enough space than i’d ever need while still sitting as comfy as it could be fully loaded and sits high to avoid interfering with the belt.
Anonymous
By modern Alice frame you mean the DEI 1606 the FILBE was issued with or like a Malice?
Anonymous
yep the filbe mounted on a dei 1606. found them separately for cheap. after using the alice for a decade, the filbe feels….about the same. still comfy but with the molle, it’s a natural improvement on a solid system. you can ratchet it down to compress it substantially while having a huge top lid that covers most of it for more critical items.

Anonymous
Ah nice, I just got a 1606 frame in today and I've been working on getting a MOLLE II pad set on it since all the FILBE pad sets are torn to shit since Marines can't be bothered to take care of anything.
Alice frame with TT pad set was surprisingly comfortable so I hope this is another big step up.

noice. report back once you break it in, id be curious with what you carry.
i think the downside of the alice style once you begin to load it down heavy. the waist straps are point less in gear and shoulders really take it.
still, best pack i’ve used especially for quality and price, straight up works.

I got the frame set up how I wanted but I encountered some issues with the packs themselves. I've got a Malice V.3 and an LBT 8 pocket ruck. On paper the Malice has better features and should be my pick, but in practice I really like the LBT.
The issues are the LBT top pocket is 2-3" longer than a normal Alice pocket so it doesn't fit down perfectly on the 1606 frame and actually sits up higher. To make it fit better I have to move the MOLLE II straps down on the frame which raises the frame higher on my back. May have to abandon the straps and just use a the Alice style ones that came with the ruck.
On the other hand the Malice fits way better but it has huge side pockets that interfere with the ears on the frame. Also, it doesn't attach as tightly at the bottom due to the straps being meant for the Malice solid frame.
I know I can make either work I just have to decide which I want to go with. Going to get my gear together and ready to pack for some hikes this weekend and see what happens.

I've got two reliable rifles and enough ammo to go for a while, but that will hardly help me. Here's what I've got as a basic "to buy" list. Rate and hate, offer suggestions. >Crye Precision JPC >RMA Mod #1192 LV4 plates >Ops-core Maritime Helmet >North American Rescue L-FAK >NAR Tourniquet >Blue Force Gear Trauma Kit NOW! >Merril Moab 3 boots >Any kind of 3L water bladder that goes with the JPC >Life straw / some kind of water filtration device
Skip a life straw and get an MSR. MiniWorks or Guardian if you can afford it.

The 1192 is literally one of the worst plates you can possibly buy. Too many reasons to list here. Believe it or not, RMA literally sent Buffman a 'special' overbuilt 1192.
Not just overbuilt (way thicker and heavier than advertised) they outright changed the strikeface composition from Boron to Silicon Carbide. One has to wonder if they wanted to look better on the tungsten-core threats Buffman was gonna send its way.
I just checked their webpage and LO AND FRICKING BEHOLD, they havent updated their page to reflect the "real, totally a serial production 1192" that Buffman got sent. Still advertised as Boron Carbide, still advertised as 5.9lbs and .9in thick but now 100 dollars cheaper. There are much better options at its price point.
SIDENOTE: Hoplite finally started selling LTC 28601, for 3000/pair. Standalone X-threat capable plates, so M993 at 3050fps. God bless Adept, we are finally moving into the IV+/ V timeline for top-end plates. Now up to three companies offer M993 or better plates on the open market with no bullshit, SAS, Adept and now Hoplite.
They have a version of the Hexar plate that is tested for 3 hits of M993. it was 799 per 10x12, 7.8lbs.
ADDITIONALLY, they are selling 10x12 segments of their M993 rated dragonskin (the version that works actually this time). One version is ICW IV+ (M993), III standalone (really RF2, M855). The other version is Standalone for M993. The real downside there is that those panels weigh 8.8lbs. 1250 dollars for the Standalone 10x12 version.
On the whole, their offerings are cool., but Id be hard pressed to buy the Dragonskin over the LTC 28601 for 300/plate more, its like 3lbs lighter (6.2lbs) and thinner too (.83 inches thick, zero drop protection). The Hexar plate is cool as well. Adepts offering is pretty weight and price competitive as well. At least there are options for above IV standard now.
There's no reason to buy the SAS products over the Adept Colossus, which is lighter and tougher. Unless you want or need extended coverage, because SAS can make a BALCS-cut armor panel, out of either Hexar or Dragonskin2.
Draft /gq/ armor flowchart attached. Anything you'd add?
Get an AVS. JPC was designed for simple and fast operations. AVS is excellent at load bearing. You want something in the middle get an SPC. God tier build if you got the money is a AVS with AXL micro harness, structural cummerbund, and the crye padded yoke.
As an AVS user, I can say there are still times I prefer a JPC with the axl bund. I don’t even really like using a bund with the AVS unless sides are required
It's an original. Repro stuff is a big no. They used to cost like $280, but now it's really a guess. They cannot be sourced out of Russia anymore, so the whole market depends on if there will be price-gouging or not

Big helmets with big visors are very situational and usually bad. Way too heavy to use comfortably for extended periods, tough to shoot with, tough to use with NVG, etc.

I hope you can probably tell I use it for cosplay only with a reason
Out of the box they're pretty mediocre but a few upgrades (like a better antenna, battery, and some method to protect the volume knob & ptt) and programming it with non-moronic settings makes it pretty simple to get some basic comms going for you and some buddies. Their weakest points are the easy to press ptt, shitty mic, and lack of water resistence. Use them to figure out what works for you, but don't let a $20 radio be the end all, be all.
They work. You can communicate between frens. Be aware that they may be DOA or kill themselves after a while.
I took my UV9R out yesterday and it was busted. I could not hear anything with the onboard speaker or on my Comtacs through my PTT.
That being said for the capability it is second to none. Buy one and learn how o use it.
QTDDTOT is a few threads down anon
Lipstick on a pig, mosins are pretty shitty compared to any bargain bin hunting rifle in accuracy, ammo availability, and smoothness of action. The mosin's only comparitive value is as a relatively cheap piece of soviet history. It almost made sense when a mosin was 80 bucks and a good rifle was 500, now that good rifles are 300 and mosins are 400 there is no reason unless all you have is a mosin and all you will ever have is a mosin.
No reason to do it plus you're bubbaing a gun.
A bit of a strange question, but I have some large sapi cut plates that are a little too tall for both my manlet pearmode body and my plate carrier. My question is, can ceramic plates be cut at all? Will the thing shatter if I try to cut 3/4 inch off the bottom and reseal it? Will it harm its effectiveness? I haven't been able to find any examples of this, probably for obvious reasons, but I'm curious to know if such a thing can be attempted. I've got access to a large workshop and nearly every sawblade that exists so that isn't a problem.
I'm thinking about switching over to mostly flapped mag pouches on my PC. I live in an area with a slot of mud and rain. We don't really get dust, but I feel like being about to weatherize my gear is important.
I was goofing around with gear today and made a spiritus 34A chest rig into a belt kit/battle jacket. Haven't shot with it yet since I just slapped it together but it's comfy so far doing shit around the house.
Thoughts?
Is there anything inherently wrong with running a bigger plate in the back and a smaller one in the front? It seems wierd but I can't think of any real reason not to if it works.

assuming its a baofeng, it has a really small footprint. Just try to keep it all in one manageable spot, ie on the front non dominant hand side. That way you can frick with it if you need to but cable management is important so you're not a tangled mess. Fold the cables together and ziptie/tape them together. I always keep my PTT on my left collar bone which is my non dom side, and i keep the radio in a cell on my kit right below that so the antenna and radio are both manageable and accessible.
this tbh

Baffin boots are super warm. Most of them are made more for standing still (ice fishing, hunting in a blind, etc). I wore them dog sledding at -40 and was fine. Usually though I wore my Salomon Quests and as long as I was moving and used wool socks I was fine. The Salomon Toundra is also a great choice for really cold wet winters and is a good middle ground between regular hiking boot and Antarctica moon boots. >t. Not a Canadian
Think about it for a minute. Hard armor dick flap would suck so fricking bad in multiple ways. Aside from potentially smacking you in the balls when moving, it would inhibit running, potentially make it hard to crouch, kneel, or go prone.
Right but the trade off makes it not functional or meaningfully useful. If you're that worried about getting your balls blown off and you don't mind the loss of mobility then use a full size swat-style ballistic shield.
is the non padded also IR compliant? Also what's the meta 11.5 light setup isn't it some mix of like the 640DF head and another body with the arisaka momentary?

Good pouch recommendations for 40 round PMAGs? I have 4 in a placard for my PC but they kinda lean forward away from the carrier, hasn't done anything bad so far but it feels wrong. Was thinking I maybe mess with the ones I have and put in some KYWI inserts? Not sure what else to do
You guys lied to me, the Agi K19 is fricking awesome. The shoulder system is the fricking best. The cummybund that stretches in the back but is solid skeleton molle in the front is absolutely ace.
No joke, I actually like it. Just waiting for a front plate in the mail and a few more odds and ends. It's extremely comfy. I actually enjoy it, no hebrew nonsense. Got me an Esstac mag shingle and a T3 Placard on it right now with a Raptor IFAK dangler. I'll grab better pictures at some point with the belt.
Holy shit it appears to be real.
Serious question: What's your height and weight?
Are you fat?
Anyway, /gq/ will never recommend Agilite, because of their unethical business practices.
5"9, about 190. Absolutely real. I bought it because it had tubes on the cummerbund and shoulders, was placard compatable, highly adjustable around the shoulders, and took are large sapi sized plate which is in the rear only. Not too many options that check all those boxes for a similar price in the 200s range. Shellback was the perfect option but most of them only take 10x12s and I already had a large plate.
I'm aware. I'm one of their product testers. One of the ones they apparently haven't listened to until their newest plate carrier. And they still insist on using the dog shit cumberbund.
It's a little different, but works good enough and is stretchy in the right spots. It can easily be adapted to any other cummerbund with a placard on the front and a conversion flap on the back if you wanted to replace it.
What don't you like about it? I haven't had it for a really long time so I haven't really found any glaring problems with it yet. The only thing I can think of would be the tube on the front needing to be cut in order to use an aftermarked cummberbund that velcroed to a front placard. Otherwise it seems pretty standard.
If the product is fine, I'm fine with it. They can do wierd business shit all they want, like make 20,000 fake reviews on their site, but if the end result of the product is the same then I'm not concerned. I felt the same with H-S Precision stocks and them associating with the Ruby Ridge guy, it doesn't really bother me. Good stock is a good stock. Don't really matter as long as it's good.
I'm aware. I'm one of their product testers. One of the ones they apparently haven't listened to until their newest plate carrier. And they still insist on using the dog shit cumberbund.
I've seen some SF guys at a demonstration recently wearing a single AR mag on their belt at their 4 or 5 oclock, just behind the holster. For what purpose?
Fits them ergonomically.
Not every gear/gun decision is done to fit as meta.
Kinda makes me wish for a snow version of desert 3 color.

All of Haley's products are poorly designed and shit for basically everything
>D3CRM where you go prone and break all of your admin items and have 2 useless pistol mag pouches on the sides
>D3CRX where you have 4 useless pistol mag pouches and it's too wide to fit on any plate carrier
>D3CRXH where you get two oddly shaped zipper pouches and even more bullshit you can't use
>Thorax which has zero innovative features and doesn't even have tubes
>D3 belt which is identical to all other gunbelts
>placard with fixed elastic tenspeeds on it so you have to stop using the tenspeeds or buy a whole new placard when the elastic gets worn out
Haley is a fricking moron who used ALICE gear for his whole USMC career in the 90s, and a basic Blackhawk chest rig when he worked for Blackwater. He knows absolutely nothing about designing gear and hasn't been in combat in almost 20 years.
He also almost cried on livestream when a bunch of other gun class guys basically called him a bloviating homosexual and said his classes were pseudoscience bullshit which didn't help anyone get better at shooting
Cool story but that's not in any way an answer to my fricking question and I'd appreciate you taking your emotions to someone else, moron.
B8
lol heavy rig good. holds 3 diff platform mags and goes brrrr.
>i keep my chicken nuggies in the big pouch and my fruit gummies in the small pouch for maximum jej
those add-ons should work with another chest rig if you eventually get rid of it. You can always take the pistol mag pouches off with a seam ripper (or razor) to get rid of them. Or sell it and get a slimmer chest rig. I can kind of understand GP or admin pouches on the front if you're playing Ricky Recon, but I never understood the 4x pistol mag pouches.

What camo are the pants on the far right?
Reposting my work kit and cool guy m81 collection
What size is the GP/utility pouch or which one is it? I've had in mind a magazine pouch and a GP pouch like that, but I'm unsure about the size of one. This seems perfect.
It's a Tyr Tactical IFAK, but it's 7” H x 5.5” W x 3” D according to their website. ATS has a 5.00 W × 8.00 H × 2.00 L Utility pouch for a good price you could check out
not him but direct action gear makes some good, lightweight gp pouches that look identical to that in a variety of sizes
I'm looking at exactly those. My issue is them being out of stock in Ranger green all the time and me not knowing what size to get

without a pic i can only guess but it sounds like a happy mag for when shooting with their weak hand.
>mag for when shooting with their weak hand.
This is good. Adopted.
could be eye cross-dominance. i shoot pistol with right hand / left eye but rifle with left hand / left eye. so holster is on the right, pistol mags are on the left but rifle mag is on the right because i reload the rifle with my right.
Maybe so when they’re laying on thier belly mags they don’t gotta lift up if they gotta swap quick or there isn’t enough room in front of them for some situation

can you homies save an image once in a while? Also I need to update this with the Qore belt and whatever else was new last year.

Qore or Kore? Both are pronounced the same but with a different letter.
I can’t edit it because I have to get a new graphics card after my last one died on Christmas Eve of all days and my computer is fricked.
Hey do you have any more of these gear comparison images?

Actually, wait, I still like this one more...
I think you could replace the Crye JPC with the SPC at this point
no sure if these are updated, they're what I have though
All the in-fighting and shitters have ruined you /GQ/. Arguing with Knuckles who actually posted content and tried to be friendly. Shitting on poors. You homosexuals deserve how dead your threads are.
Good riddance
I’m glad he’s gone.
Russian wood on a chinese spiker? Intredasting.
What? It is very clearly just beat to shit chink wood, and even if it was Russian wood it wouldn't work with the spike folded.
no, chinese wood never has either the concavity under the handguard or the strengthening pin just forward of it.
No idea. A frens SKS.

The Toundra is shockingly light. I love mine.

Have you looked at Nomex flight gloves? I found a pair for $5 at a surplus store that fit perfectly. They're not too hot or too cold, and you can feel pretty well

flight gloves are great but dont post rothco trash
I know, I was just posting it as an example
What pouches are you using? Or are you going ultimate poorgay and using the MOLLE loops to hold shells?
Also, if you want a cheap helmet https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/italian-military-surplus-sept2-helmet-shell-used?a=2258592
I still need to grab some pouches, I'm relatively new to molle
Although you are tempting me with that shell idea, 2 3/4 shells fit really nicely into those loops
Nice, although it looks like it came off the head of an italian soldier 3 quarters of a century ago
I've heard some good things about flight gloves, might be something I should look into for the colder months
>you are tempting me with that shell idea, 2 3/4 shells fit really nicely into those loops
no they fall out too easy
get some shotgun cards and a molle velcro panel
While those cards seem pretty practical, slapping a shit ton of velcro onto my shotgun sounds like hell personally
flight gloves are comfy but not water resistant, good for a cool dry fall day but shit in snow or rain

id be curious of what others keep as sustainment gear. will post internals if theres interest.
>will post internals if theres interes
Please do
Incredibly cool kit.
Please post internals, your gear seems very thought out and I'd like to see if I'm missing anything critical
red - LBE (top to bottom) - headlamp, writing kit) ifak (bleed trauma), battery bank, 20-30ft 550 cord, body/ass wipes, triangle bandage (useful for pre filter pilled water), cleaning kit, AA’s, puffy jacket/pillow, 60rnds, poncho/tarp, knife, 2qts water, purifying pills, snacks, lens cloth, GPS, 2 tourniquet, bandana, compass/mirror, 2 lights with tape, flagging, chapstick/ointment, gum, snooter, gerber, spoon.
blue - chest rig - radio+spare bat, writing gear, 120rnds.
yellow - overnight pack - hard shell rain jacket, socks, 6ltr dromedary, water pills, pnutbutter, GP pouch x2, one is for snacks the other is for a cooking kit if needed, base layer, sleeping bag liner (my tootsies get cold), more 550 cord.
my chest rig is severally lacking and i put a lot of priority in my belt. the chest rig was definitely added last so i’m trying to implement it but to answer you, i’d drop it before the belt.
tho like everything it’s dependent on the my scenario. if it was a shooting focused event then id prolly drop the belt and go rig.
my big thing is water. i live in the SW and water locally is almost exclusively sourced from infrastructure and i’m a big water fan personally hence so much with me.
this set up is for patrol, recon/observation and hit and run.
>this set up is for

>recon/observation
Larp.
>and hit and run.
By modern Alice frame you mean the DEI 1606 the FILBE was issued with or like a Malice?
yep the filbe mounted on a dei 1606. found them separately for cheap. after using the alice for a decade, the filbe feels….about the same. still comfy but with the molle, it’s a natural improvement on a solid system. you can ratchet it down to compress it substantially while having a huge top lid that covers most of it for more critical items.
I used to have a cdn pattern 82 ruck that I absolutely loved, using a Osprey kestrel 58 for longer outings now
Very nice.

so are arcteryx and fjallraven. it doesn't matter where something is made, what matters is the QC the company accepts. brown hands stitching something in vietnam arent meaningfully different to brown hands stitching something in texas
LEAF garments are all made in Canada and are subject to completely different standards than vanilla Arc'Teryx as with the materials they use.
This is cope
call it cope if it makes you feel better. factually, berry compliance is exclusively to separate you from more cash than the product would otherwise justify.
I'm only speaking from experience of owning and using both products extensively. Do you own any LEAF garments?
Leaf garments use different materials though. At least in the case of the atom lt. The leaf version has a slightly rommier cut and uses more durable face material.

What does that bring it down to?
I haven't really done much research into helmets so this is good advice, thanks.
It's 20% off
Skip a life straw and get an MSR. MiniWorks or Guardian if you can afford it.
Don't bother with anything but the FAST SF or XP helmets. (SF is only marginally lighter, same profile)
Before you go spending thousands on top tier kit your fat ass on a treadmill and some hours on a physically dynamic range.
I've got a few ranges I go to. I have a few buddies who are National Guard so I've got them helping train. If I have any problem it's that I have zero weight. It has already been stressed enough from my circles that having no fitness will kill you no matter the gear.
You will never use your firearm on another human being in combat in the US. You will live out the entirety of your life in complete safety and most likely die in your 80s from cardiovascular diseases.
My state is slowly turning brown. I moved out of Detroit to get away from this, now it's coming back.
>You will live out the entirety of your life in complete safety and most likely die in your 80s from cardiovascular diseases

Why are you like this?
Wake up, it's already happening
Lol this idiot was asleep during the entire summer of burning looting and murdering in which the vice president of the united states set up a go fund me to bail out the rioting burny looters. Many people were killed. Many people were shot. Many neighborhoods were defended with rifles from the blue collar neighborhoods to the cul desac commando who got into politics afterwards. Frick you black pilled demoralizer cuckold of the mind.
Let's put it like this: the moron you're responding to isn't paying attention to social and demographic trends.
Wait why does it say LTC if RMA the one making them?
You're confused. RMA's responsible for the scam-tier 1192. LTC just released the 28601, which is a good plate.
What does SAS offer that's IV+? I need to upgrade my plates since all I have is 2010 DOM L DEA surplus plates. I hate large plates.

Nor a repro? How much was and where did you get it?
It's an original. Repro stuff is a big no. They used to cost like $280, but now it's really a guess. They cannot be sourced out of Russia anymore, so the whole market depends on if there will be price-gouging or not
>wanted to get the Russian under helmet hearing protection and a perst
>dragged my feet, and Russia actually invaded the hohols
>now getting Russian shit is expensive if you can even find it
That's what I get for think the israelitekrainians would try and avoid getting invaded, instead of playing the eternal victim.
Regardless of your position on the conflict, it should be impossible to fault anybody for defending their land. Don't seethe at the average Ukrainian.
Big helmets with big visors are very situational and usually bad. Way too heavy to use comfortably for extended periods, tough to shoot with, tough to use with NVG, etc.
lmaoooo at somebody seriously considering the 1192.
I will indeed fault the israeli doj puppet government for causing this shit in the first place. Instead of not bombing civilians for the better part of a decade.
>israeli doj puppet government
>doj
lmfao ok moron
also of course your betters will rule you, what else did you think would happen?
Where did you morons get the "they're just defending their land!" excuse?
Was it the TV, ukrain themselves, or just whatever redditor is in charge of putting together the scripts?
I've seen it too many times for it to be organic, even if the opinion itself isn't bad per se.
The guys who were defending Kiev weren't defending their land? I agree that the areas that Russia annexed constitute a sort of gray zone.

Works for me.
What are your thoughts on Archangel stocks on Mosins? I'm thinking of getting one tbqh.
No, you'll frick it up, trade or sell them
>cut 3/4 inch off the bottom
You'll void your save-your-life-or-your-money-back warranty.
Thoughts?
Post the other side please. I'm curious as to how you made this work
Bottom buckles of the rig and milsurp hydro connected. Top strap I have running under the flap of my butt pack
very nice. What'd you end up using for the suspender straps here
They're part of the hydro carrier.
This is what I'm kind've looking for in reference to my post below. Should have scrolled first, thanks anon.
What's the best site for molle pouches? I'm partial to milsurp but anything will do
Or Glenn's Surplus.
How much do AWS belts cost when they go on sale?
got mine for 110 bucks
the base aws belt is like 63 bucks. the SMU drops to like 80 which is about the price when you add some panels on the plain AWS.
I asked about the smu a while ago but the one being sold was large and they wouldn’t let me send it back for a medium unfortunately
On the bright side, more cheese pizza and mashed potatoes for you!
The smu belt does not go down to 80 bucks dude. Not for christmas not for black friday i just doesnt drop that low.
Shit, my good deal got the better of my memory. Checked my bill and i was about 50$ off.
My b.
Who makes good woodland tops and bottoms that aren't either surplus or crye?
Are swimmer cut plates gq approved or are they for homosexuals?
Swimmer plates will get you killed in the streets
How so?
>t. Hesco 4401 swimmer
Is there anything inherently wrong with running a bigger plate in the back and a smaller one in the front? It seems wierd but I can't think of any real reason not to if it works.
I don't know the difference in weight but it might throw the balance off
i'm pretty sure lots of people do that
Rig suggestions for m110 platform. Chest rig seems odd for prone position. Thinking more belt style with suspenders. Need opinions
Velocity ultralight split front chest rig
TacTailor split front rig with contract pouches
Let me get home from this bullshit and if you’re still looking, we’ll work it out. Email me
Protip: you can still exploit after you leave
Unironically I need advice on women's plate carriers and plates for my girlfriend. She's 5'5" 120lbs with 34Cs. I swear I am not meming, what can I get for her?
Well played.
Now that, thats a plate carrier.
booobiesi oiboeeisoi obboviesis shwo hemeeneee
Are there any gear companies that do .mil/.gov sales only, or fat discounts, that i should exploit on my way out the door
buy some lams
Goodwill has a military discount day.
You jest but goodwills outside mil bases (especially specwar/SOCOM) often have once in a blue moon finds
>jest
Not really.
1: I’m trading really and I’ve got some RLCS sr25 flapped mag pouches, some adjustable 110 flapped pouches, and the velocity rig takes inserts of which I have most
Weird stipulation. I can look and see if I’ve got any leftover Coyote. You want Coyote mag pouches for a PTR91?
the frick is goin on with that cable management lmaooooo
How would you route it?
assuming its a baofeng, it has a really small footprint.
I will adjust it. Just got the wing pouch and radio so I have no idea how to route it
Here are my recommendations
>using radios
NGMI
this tbh
picrel will hunt you down and point the feds/occupying force at you for anything more than ham nerd stuff (asking how the weather is followed by your callsign)
what now fedbois?
bait them to "find you"
>bald boomer ham homosexual gets shredded by a frickin ied for being a nosy shit.
Ayy I know there is a big ol' cake holding up that kit
Its either my wiener or ass that gets appreciated. 🙁
I still need a good fannypack bros
What do you want to use it for?
ifak
For ifak I would go with clamshell design. Spiritus is gtg for that.
thanks bros
I like the Defense Mechanisms one. They have a specific med tray for it too.
Alternatively, the Spiritus Sack is fantastic too.
Don’t listen to them it’s too small for a real ifak
okay so give me your recc then
He's just being contrarian. If you are planning to use it as an actual single use IFAK with TQ, hemostatic/packing gauze, chest seals, NPA, triangle bandage, medical tape, and 2-3 sets of gloves, it'll hold it all fine.
I hate you people.
Post your Paramedic qualifications and your IFAK. I bet you every dollar I have that you have never packed an arterial bleed and your IFAK doesn't have enough acewrap to stop one.
All I'm seeing is autistic REEEEEEEEEEEing and still no alternative recs for the guy who was asking.
I bought tampons once and took a cpr class, I save lives. Kys.
Hi
>filename
lmao have a nice day larper
???
No
How much did the V60 set you back?
They don’t want you to know this. They’re free. You can just take them
Switch to a Sawyer Squeeze and get rid of that Sawyer bag. Squeeze is much more versatile and easy to use. Those bags suck, hard to fill and clean. You want something that opens from both ends
I have a hydrapak that I use for gravity and inline - the Sawyer bag is a backup to the backup that currently has a bunch of extra tabs, salts and vitC taped to it
AWS, unironically
Spiritus’ fannysack doest all the way
>AWS, unironically
The question becomes chocolate chip or navy for greyman. Wish they just did a denim.
helixcon or AWS.
aws has deals all the time if you can find them in the color you want.
BDS looked like a good one while i was hunting.
danke
Hill People Gear Belt Pack medium or snubby
Are Baffin boots any good for /k/ type stuff? If not what's a good cold Canadian winter boot(colder than -20c)?
Pic rel
Baffin boots are super warm. Most of them are made more for standing still (ice fishing, hunting in a blind, etc). I wore them dog sledding at -40 and was fine. Usually though I wore my Salomon Quests and as long as I was moving and used wool socks I was fine. The Salomon Toundra is also a great choice for really cold wet winters and is a good middle ground between regular hiking boot and Antarctica moon boots.
>t. Not a Canadian
Will check them out, thanks anon
Has US ever used similar body vests with hard armor groin protection?
dick flap was big in GWOT
Any examples besides interceptor vests? Also as far as I know they all had soft armor only.
Think about it for a minute. Hard armor dick flap would suck so fricking bad in multiple ways. Aside from potentially smacking you in the balls when moving, it would inhibit running, potentially make it hard to crouch, kneel, or go prone.
Yeah but you're not gonna get your balls blown off if a bullet hits you there
Right but the trade off makes it not functional or meaningfully useful. If you're that worried about getting your balls blown off and you don't mind the loss of mobility then use a full size swat-style ballistic shield.
You have to go back.
To where 🙂 ?
Sportsman warehouse has "back" 10x12 plates, can I use two of those and one of these euro rigs for the poorgay supreme set up?
i see most people use a eotech g33, is the g45 not worth it?
Tighter eyebox
Small fov
Mag doesnt work so well with 2moa dots
Its just not super great
Anybody know what slings don't glow under night vision?
Vickers padded twopoint
is the non padded also IR compliant? Also what's the meta 11.5 light setup isn't it some mix of like the 640DF head and another body with the arisaka momentary?
>is this literal strap of cordura IR compliant?
yes you mong
>Also what's the meta 11.5 light setup isn't it some mix of like the 640DF head and another body with the arisaka momentary?
m640df, ds00, hot button
No exp with the carinthia LIG, but look into defense mechanisms helion
Hey is there an update version of this
Milk run in Portland-core
i dyed my UCP mag and utility pouches green and haven't woven them back onto my belt because i'm lazy
also i realized i own a sneed hat and that polyester underwear will kill your fricking balls
your sideways mag pouch is dumb and completely defeats the entire purpose of having a low profile kangaroo flap
would anyone know anywhere to buy a sheath for an AKM type 2 bayonet with a better mount? this shitty leather one drives me insane
Good pouch recommendations for 40 round PMAGs? I have 4 in a placard for my PC but they kinda lean forward away from the carrier, hasn't done anything bad so far but it feels wrong. Was thinking I maybe mess with the ones I have and put in some KYWI inserts? Not sure what else to do
What are you using currently? You can use WhiskeyTwoFour universal pouches to single stack larger mags.
To rephrase
Kywi inserts can be a way to go but it would help to know exactly what placard you’re using
A Velocity Quad 5.56 SwiftClip GP Placard, if that helps
Mp2 inserts if you’re has the little retaining flaps inside the pouches
It does have that, I'll give those a look. Thank you very much!
Looking at the Carinthia LIG, how does it compare to an Arcteryx atom (leaf or otherwise)?
>thanks to the war in Ukraine, Holosuns and Olights are now battle tested and clone correct gear
CRAWWWLLINGGG IN MY SKIIIINNNNNNN
You guys lied to me, the Agi K19 is fricking awesome. The shoulder system is the fricking best. The cummybund that stretches in the back but is solid skeleton molle in the front is absolutely ace.
take a pic of your K19.
It's a little different, but works good enough and is stretchy in the right spots. It can easily be adapted to any other cummerbund with a placard on the front and a conversion flap on the back if you wanted to replace it.
It's still a shitty design.
What don't you like about it? I haven't had it for a really long time so I haven't really found any glaring problems with it yet. The only thing I can think of would be the tube on the front needing to be cut in order to use an aftermarked cummberbund that velcroed to a front placard. Otherwise it seems pretty standard.
>no hebrew nonsense
>Agilite
anon... I don't know how to tell you this...
Hebe shill
>t. Agilite T&E crew
I think he's just trolling, bro.
Agilite are so famous for fake reviews and shilling that it's kind of hilarious.
I'm aware. I'm one of their product testers. One of the ones they apparently haven't listened to until their newest plate carrier. And they still insist on using the dog shit cumberbund.
