ITT: >no you can't have a chainsaw gun, they're so heavy and my manlet arms are so weak! >no you can't have a chainsaw gun, chainsaws make loud sounds and are scary! >no you can't have a chainsaw gun, because we still have to use bayonets like it's 1822!
Ironically, I was thinking about doing just that since that's where I saw a used AR last. But last I looked, the amazing used selection of Cabelas had been reduced to nothing but maybe 40 guns, if that (plus overpriced gun library). I want to say the racks had 10 guns on either side and there were only two or maybe four (2 rows of 2). Used to be that you'd have them stacked in a 2x2 and IIRC 4 rows (150-250 guns if I'm not overestimating). Now it's just a few old strange guns (which, mind you, I do like) which are overpriced to hell; no longer is there the odd "I have no clue what this is" at $100-200. If they don't know what it is, it only increases the price.
My other source for used guns lost their FFL from what I heard due to a moronic employee. I swear to god the moronation is just unbelievable. I do know others, but gun selection isn't great since inventory has basically been bought clean out and they're just starting to get their inventory built back up, but that was several months ago. Life's been busy and I just haven't been able to get out like I used to, unfortunately. I can get a range trip in here and there or get shit online but if I want to go to Cabelas and fingerfrick guns, it's going to be a good portion of the free time I have that day.
I meant the store employee was the moron and the store (corporation or store location owner) lost its FFL for that store; it was a large chain. From what I hear (and this is information from a local and I have no clue of its source, so take it with a grain of salt), some moronic employee SOMEHOW sold a gun to someone underage and got the store's FFL revoked which lead to them pulling ALL gun, ammo, and hunting related items from the store permanently. So much for having competition that stocks anything other than PMAGs and godawful looking Pro-Mags. If that didn't happen, I would've had more 20rd Okays before they shut down production and might actually have a good source for used handguns. This is across from a Cabelas; it was an RV place in PA.
How the frick does that happen? Did they not even bother with a background check? They were the only place with ammo for MONTHS, even at nearly pre-covid prices during the worst of ammo shortages, too. They poured millions into that store, diverted stock to that store (ammo AND guns), and sold a lot at a loss, I'm sure. It was probably the biggest business frickup I've seen in recent memory.

WOOO BABY, THAT SURE WAS A CLOSE ONE! BUT AIN'T NUTHIN STOPPING THE COLE TRAIN BABY! WOOOOOOO!
could you actually make a chainsaw rifle that wasnt a massive clunky piece of shit? asking for a friend
If you made a chainsaw that size (like Ripper from Fallout) you don't really have room for an engine or sizeable battery
It's probably not impossible, just impractical.
did they raid the gears of war dude
For the lulz
>this homosexual has a carry handle upper and not me

Literally go to any pawn shop or Cabela's or Bass Pro and look in the used section. Quit being an online-only zoomer.

Please tell us how the moron made your friend lose his FFL? I’m always intrigued by LGS stories
