Are bope not allowed to use bodycams or something? You'd think there'd be some sick operating footage from them but it's just civies recording and cctvs

No, police just started being forced to use bodycams, plus i doubt BOPE will be issued bodycams since they sometimes have to engage in very careful questioning situations

what is weird about it? in a day and age when you can buy a NLAW on the web for 30k$ and tricked out ARs with western holosights and supressors for 300$. older gen. hand grenades for 5$ and state of the art night vision equipment or thermal optics that used to cost upwards of 10-20k$ for under 1k$.

this is what happens when you ship modern equipment all over the world to have others use it to fight your proxy wars. they get sold for a dime a dozen by defectors, thieves and corrupt leaders.

      welcome to reality.

several onion sites offer deals on very modern NVG that was sent to ukraine a few months ago. including technology that has never been up for sale to civies before. some of it might be aquired from russians who captured it off ukrainian corpses and warehouses - some of them might have been acquired through ukrainians who were equiped with it and later decided to flee the country and sold it when crossing out of ukrainian territory.

whats mind numbing is the sheer amount and numbers of equipment being offered on those sites. like you can buy truck loads of vests, helmets, polymer magazines for different calibers and receivers, new never used barrels for anti material guns, explosive ammunition ranging from 23mm auto guns up to 150mm arty projectiles, mortar rounds, spanish matador and german panzerfaust 3 launchers with tandem warhead ammunition. and of course state of the art NVG and TIS ranging from handheld over weapon mounted to vehicle mounted.

basically all the gibs that ukraine received is now up for sale and we've already seen videos of mexican cartel members and african war lords private armies riding around in their pick ups proudly brandishing hand held anti tank weapons and unobtainium optics in the recent months, taunting the mexican government or their regional adversaries.

i mean, lets face it ukraine is at least as corrupt as russia and theft is considered something like a national sport.

Go ahead and buy some of that gear and post pics for us

attempting to buy any of that would land me in jail as those sites are closely monitored by the various intelligence agencies of all #Eyes and NATO countries. those also own >51% of all the TOR exit nodes so theres nowhere to hide from them on the network. at least i'm allowed to look at the stuff on sale without any legal consequences. if i click "buy" anywhere, though, i'm sure i'd get a nightly no knock raid before the next day dawns.

        Oh, okay. Honeypots.
Have you bought anything substancial off of these sites to prove their validity or do you just go by fake reviews and images you see on the sites?
        >including technology that has never been up for sale to civies

The civilian market is only slightly behind the military one when it comes to common issue NVGs

          >Have you bought anything substancial off of these sites to prove their validity or do you just go by fake reviews and images you see on the sites

i'd never buy anything off an onion site for the reason i mentioned. the in/out traffic is closely monitored and the ownage of TOR exit-nodes in combination with HTTPS injections basically means the agencies own the traffic instead of the sites themselves BUT that does not mean the offers themselves have been set up as honey pots. at least some of them are legit sales offers. depending who you are you can buy the stuff. NATOs strong arm does not have the global reach it claims to have and mafia organisations are very powerful entities able to rival or compete with some of the most powerful nations.
the fact some of that equipment has come into the hands of rebel and criminal groups around the world just proves that the stuff is actually being sold and shipped.

Traps to lure morons that think such equipment could be purchased on websites online. Aka, you.
            >some of them are legit sales offers
Yeah, such as a pistol or a hand granade, perhaps a shitty rifle.
Not a fricking state of the art NVG or rocket propelled grenade. Most organized crime groups don't need to rely on shady websites, that could risk their life and their operations, to get arms.

its an argument of believe what ever the frick you want then.
fact of the matter is a fraction of the gibs are being sold and shipped to unstable regions and if you believe NATO has the means to change anything about that you're nothing but a fricking moron.

Any info about bopes casualty rates? That urban fighting seems like a b***h although they are up against 75 iq crackheads

      Anonymous

      >Any info about bopes casualty rates?

A quick rundown, including BOPE and CORE, with 4 assorted recent ops:

      - 05/06/2021: CORE operation in Morro do Jacarezinho. 01 innocent killed. 27 cartel members killed. 01 CORE policeman KIA

      - 02/11/2022: BOPE operation in Vila Cruzeiro. 00 innocents killed. 08 cartel members killed. 00 BOPE policemen KIA

      - 05/24/2022: BOPE operation in Vila Cruzeiro. 01 innocent killed. 24 cartel members killed. 01 BOPE policeman severely wounded

07/22/2022: Joint BOPE and CORE operation in Morro do Alemão. 01 innocent killed. 16 cartel members killed. 01 policeman KIA

In each and every one of these operations, a massive amount of drugs, firearms and grenades were apprehended. CORE has been rising up, some of their members are former BOPE operators, former Brazilian Army and some are verifiably ex-FFL. BOPE has also extensively trained CORE operators.

It is interesting to note that CORE operator´s wages are much higher than BOPE´s. OTOH, it is safe to say at this level of Brazilian law enforcement, no man is in it for the salary.

Very impressive. My hats off to Brazillian special police/MPs whatever their classification is. I used to follow their instagram. Looks more like military operations than law enforcement. Many in the US have no idea how intense criminal activity gets in these places. Much of it a result of US drug habits

special police/MPs whatever their classification is

These are all state policemen. This is their classification, for good and bad. To get into this kind of op you have to be a legitimate card-carrying State cop. In Brazil, the real deal stuff is in the State agencies, with all the requirememts they entail. They strongly consider your background. Federal forces won't touch this shit

          >Much of it a result of US drug habits
You do know third worlders also consume vast amounts of drugs, right?
And it's way easier to traffic drugs from brazil to neighbouring countries than it is to send it half way across to globe to the U.S.
Mexico is a special case because of it's proximity to the country

It is a wonder that only one innocent victim died. Thousands of rifles fired, armored vehicles, and helicopters have to fly so low over a densely populated area as to not get shot down.

Even so, collateral damage is unacceptable in a police raid, and the death of Mrs. Leticia Marinho Sales really tarnishes the whole operation.
