Will we see a crash program to swap T-80UD too a V2 engine?
T-80UDs had their turrets taken off and put on T-80B hulls, were fitted with French thermals and redesignated as T-80UE-1.
Mostly sold for export, but Russia retained a few.
Guess its better than letting the entire tank go to waste. Imagine GTD-1000 turbines are in short supply. Wonder where the South Koreans are getting spares for there T-80.
>unusable because of the Ukrainian origins of the engines
I thought machine spirits were a fictional 40k thing?
French intelligence are of course always accurate in their assessment of Russia
>I am incapable of considering the information given to me and only look at who said it
This has to be a developmental disorder, was your mother a heavy drinker?
>Persons are wrong once about a very specific subject, there's no reason to doubt their assessment now
You stink of garlic
They full on rejected the US/UK assessment of an invasion being imminent in February.
Then they made incorrect assessments that Russia would be able to seize Kyiv in late March.
Not once has France’s intelligence assessments reflected the reality of the situation, and hence Macron has been the biggest retard in Europe because his intelligence info is so fucking shit.
The Ukrainians didn't think the invasion would happen after seeing the state of Ru troops near the boarder so....
>The Ukrainians didn't think the invasion would happen
they were propagandizing that it's not happening so that everybody wasn't shitting their pants
I doubt the gubmint was convinced nothing was happening
>so that everybody wasn't shitting their pants
everybody in ukraine, I mean
thats why they had their military units deployed and not in base which is why the initial missile barrage was ineffective and why units were countering vdv landings basically immediately
They obviously knew it was going to happen, they just couldn't sound the alarm without causing mass public panic.
Given the geopolitical shitshow going on at the time they were basically forced to wait for the actual invasion to start. You had gouls like Lavrov saying the invasion was Western hysteria 24 hours before it happened with useful idiots calling the US a warmonger.
Sure
And nobody's saying "trust Kyiv intel"
Morbidly obese fat fuck from AR15.com is too much of a lazy ignorant fat piece of shit to spell “border” correctly. You have to go back, you fat fuck.
DGSE is probably the worst intelligence agency in Europe. Or perhaps the world.
Plus all the shit Russians have gotten away with in Africa under the noses of the French that has ultimately forced them out of Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger
French intelligence either has a huge blind spot regarding Russia, or they have personnel facilitating it for their own profit
>French intelligence either has a huge blind spot regarding Russia
of course they do, frogs have been hoping to pull russia into their sphere of influence for like 50 years
>frogs have been hoping to pull russia into their sphere of influence for like 50 years
>50 years
Way longer.
France has been heavily subverted by Russia since WW2. They even adopted USSR TV standards and have a Moscow directed communist party and national trade unions, Russia also bankrolled and owned the national front/ le pen.
>Russia also bankrolled and owned the national front/ le pen.
you don't own your loaner
Ruskies were the only ones willing to do business with FN
French Leftoids and Rightoids have a lot of Soviet and later Russian influence subverting them. You bet your ass they have a lot of cheese eating fifth columnists ready to be unironic surrender monkeys imitating the fall of France in WW2. It also would only be fair for me to mention Germany with how West Germany was constantly under agitprop attacks and their merger with East Germany brought us examples like Merkel - the western part already producing excellent examples of traitors like Schroder.
Russia didn’t pull anything on the French. They were just better partners for crooked African leaders. France was controlling the competition gangs, which was fine and all, but the big crooks would rather stuff their offshore accounts with mineral cash and that’s something Russian PMCs can help with.
I don't think you fully understand how intel works. Information is obtained, and then an analysis is made. The intel-obtaining side did its job in France, they saw exactly what the US or UK saw, as they have their own capable satellites. They looked at it, and analyzed it. In the end, it was the Chief of Intelligence who had to make the final call, and said that he didn't believe Russia would be stupid enough to invade. He was wrong and got fired.
Meanwhile, no one, not even the US intelligence thought Ukraine would actually be able to survive the invasion, or fight as hard as it did.
Considering I get screeched at for daring to post Russian numbers it’s probably just NPC faction affiliation. Ie, when the Russians put out a figure on Russian forces that is automatically false while French, British, US, Estonian and YouTuber figures are automatically interesting and relevant. So it’s actually heavy drinking you say?
Right, because russians never lie and have never ever inflated their figures to make themselves look good
Great puccian media and mod only tell truth unlike wectern globohomo
>when the Russians put out a figure on Russian forces that is automatically false
I mean yes. Generally yes. I can't recall when Russians told the truth about some major event during last year and half.
The boy who cried wolf yadda yadda.
Yeah, honestly the French are kinda shit. Also if you watched the documentary of Macron in the days leading up to the invasion you'd see just how wrong the French government perceived the situation and their reaction showed it.
Need to compare to CoverCabal's count. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PHUK6zkbpc

Wonder how many of these refurbished tanks are becoming static defenses?
Probably just the lower-end tanks like the T-55 and T-62. T-64 will be mobile defense duty/guard tank and T-72 and T-80 will be serving an assault role.
We've sen T-62s used as part of assault units last winter already. If it can drive then the Russians will use them as an assault vehicle.
Lol Those obsolete tanks might have avoided being crippled by thieves.
>And a case concerning another T-72 and T-90 dating from February 2022 to an undisclosed country.
It was Ukraine, wasn't it?
>T-62s stored in Far East
>Not looted
Sure they weren't. In totally unrelated news Kim will be offering Putin a really good deal on refurbished T-62 parts, he has a suprising amount of them....
Seriously, how much pride will Putin have to swallow when not only is he buying stuff his nation designed but when they look at the serial numbers and realize they got sold equipment that the Norks literally stole from them?
mobile defense duty/guard tank..... moving with the infantry assaulting an enemy trench
it's basically the same as that stryker 105mm or booker
>and T-72 and T-80 will be serving an assault role.
Russia won't b e conducting anything more than limited counterattacks from now on, they no longer have the trained men, logistics or equipment for mechanised manoeuvre warfare
If they have over 1000 good T-72s then why even bother with ancient garbage like the T-55?
good tank meant it had turret and didn't appear fully rusted from space. It didn't account for if tank had working engine or not
Is it possible for them to import Chinese tank engines or build new ones for their tanks?
chinks could provide russia with just about anything they need, except:
- they're fairly tepid on russia and are only "friendly" due to US pressing on both (they'd hate each other without US)
- chinks are shidding their pants at a roughly 4/10 intensity because the toothless west/nafo/whatever didn't fall over and instead is providing ukraine with weapons in the open
- chinks are also shidding their pants because the west did more economically (sanctions etc) than chinks expected, although it took them a while (krauts and frogs had to be dragged by the balls to commit)
- it became obvious that soviet and based-on-soviet-design gear is fucking garbage, and most of china's gear originates from those designs + whatever they could steal from the west
In short don't expect anything but smallish scale covert support like shells and radios rather than tanks or decent quality missiles/drones
Chinks just made an official map claiming clay that was supposed to have been settled by division of an island in 2005 as belonging to Russia
China is enormously friendly to Russia, has declared deep and profound friendship and backed that up by helping Russia the MOST out of any one nation. I wonder where this bizarre notion that China is cold on Russia came from.
you can always rely on China to make the best friends, like north korea and russia
I'd imagine everyone is trying to move to the new shitBRICs
where's the Chinese military gear and vehicles then, chink. Where are they
People speculate it's because they got a bunch of 100mm ammo from Iran and the T-55 happens to have a 100mm cannon.
Less demand for 100mm likely more left in warehouses too.
See above text and post
Why even bother posting? Anyway thanks for the bump.
In addition to the other suggestions, they may still be holding some tanks in reserve to protect Russia itself
>In addition to the other suggestions, they may still be holding some tanks in reserve to protect Russia itself
When wagners trip to moscow was happening, all they managed to scramble was a bmp1 for the rosgvard
every month they can't wrap it up is a month they expose themselves to actual danger, especially for the regime itself, see priggy's adventure
>French Intel
Nah pass.
Update:
100 Leclercs just surrendered to Russia
+100 Leclercs to their count
this is all boring
wake me when the T-54s and T-44s roll out
>T-54
The fact we have not seen T-55 losses yet suggest they are being kept on the back burner for now....
There have been a 2-3 T54/55 VIBEDs in the summer, but other than that I think they just haven't deployed any yet
this is from today, we might them at the front line within the next few months
Correct anon I am comparing it to the much higher T-62 / T-64 losses.
>we have not seen T-55 losses yet
See
<--- Welp.
They didn't until they did tho. I'm getting deja vu from last year. Like beat-by-beat with the T-62/55 parallels. "It's for second line troops." "They are used as SPGs." "They won't actually be retarded enough to use them as MBTs."
Then they did and lost a shitload of them. Never underestimate Russian blundering callous incompetence.
you laugh until you realize North fucking Korea is going to transfer all their T-55s and T-62s to Russia (plus a cum load of poorly made arty shells). THE CIRCUS NEVER ENDS IN UKRAINE
>wake me when the T-54s
they have rolled out, ages ago wake up
T-44's are literal super museum pieces too precious to have been even revealed during the Cold War and they probably don't exist as complete T-44s anymore.
>Due to the Cold War, the USSR decided to keep the tank secret.[7][14] It was never shown publicly during military parades[14] and pictures were never shown publicly until the secrecy was dropped. There is almost no photographic evidence of T-44s stationed in East Germany[14] or while being used briefly in Poland and Romania for training respective tank crews in 1952[21] nor during the Soviet invasion of Hungary in 1956,
>In 1961, a number of T-44As were modernized with parts from the T-54 main battle tank and other upgrades and received the designation T-44M. In 1963, some T-44Ms were converted into T-44MK command tanks. In 1965 some T-44Ms were converted into BTS-4A armoured recovery vehicles.[13] In 1966, a number of T-44As and T-44Ms received the "Cyclone" gun stabilizer and the designations T-44S and T-44MS, respectively.[13] According to most sources T-44S, T-44M and T-44MS tanks remained in service with the Soviet Army until the end of the 1970s, when their usefulness as tanks had ended. It is possible that they remained in storage until the beginning of the 1990s.[20] Many T-44Ms were converted into artillery tractors, tank tractors and engineer tanks. A number of T-44A, T-44S, T-44M, T-44MK and T-44MS tanks were converted into fixed defensive positions; some of which are known to have been positioned on the border with the People's Republic of China.[14] Unlike most Soviet-made weapons, the T-44 wasn't exported.[7][9]
This always cracks me up when i think of the T-44
>the crews of the T-44A suffered from frostbite because of the complete lack of a heating system. The driver was supposed to be protected from rain and snow by a removable Tarpaulin cover with a small glass window. However, this was not successful and its use was deemed impractical.[10]
Where are the T-10s and T-44s?
No dice on the T-44 but T-10 last used in 1996 and uses the V-2 engine. Sure they still make 122mm ammo somewhere.
Yeah it's just because of that one video where they push a t10 off a trailer
That's a fake video.
Not discounting the remote possibility a T-10 shows up but that video is obviously fake.
>1945
T-34-85M Obr. 2024 when?
2024 presumably.
PrepHole called Russia as having roughly 2200 tanks all types in the majority mostly obsolete models in poor condition at least 2/3rd with at least one major defect up to and including not being able to move under their own power or having no working main gun
Russia also has 3000 artillery pieces left and 4500 APCs about 350 MLRS and about 250 AA along with roughly 400 engineering /command/special vehicles. They can go until about February before they return to the late 19th century/WW1. They also have serious shortages of trucks, tires, fuel, busses, 4x4s and engineering vehicles as well as parts for all models of everything.
>French just released a good report of Russian tank numbers and refurbishment rates
The fuck does he know?
Everyone knows, Russian tank storage can be seen quite clearly from satellite
>interesting topic ruined by feels>reals
Can frogs translate
>Air sec

>A réformer
to some actual human language?
Its not hard to look up a handful of words. Someone can correct me but it looks like:
Dry air
fit
Stock
To reform
>stock
>reform
You don't need a translation, you need to finish high school
>T-90, T-90A & T-90M
>200
overestimate.
>document overall
it's certainly trying
but is there a less… spergy publication format available for this? or is the paint-by-numbers pdf with wildly changing text and multiple languages all we have?
also, a lot of this appears to be semi-haphazard transclusion of the other OSINT counters, which makes it very punishing to approach for replication if half the imagery turns out to be a second-hand assumption via "well, Rich Lee / CovertCabal / <somebody> has a satmap and they say the count is x".
