For the same price, would rather buy 3 Rafales or one F35?
For you info on costs :
Rafale : 50 million euro
F35 : 145 million $

one F35
F35A only costs 80 to 90 million USD now.
We got them for 74 million € a piece t. finn
What F35? It's three different aircraft (technically four if you include the unique speshul Israeli variant).
>the unique speshul Israeli variant
So, the one China will be fielding soon as they sell military tech to China as fast as they can?
I'll just leave this here...
That's even more expensive than either and isn't certified for carrying nukes in Germany.
Rafale can carry nukes

Yes anon. I know the Rafale isn't the eurofighter typhoon.

>Typhoon in RAF Day Fighter camo
I never knew my dick could get hard from looking at a Typhoon
Airstrip One getting wienery again.
That hornet color scheme is peak aircraft aesthetic!
I prefer the colors used on the Jap F-2s.
looks ugly and is shit?
imagine my surprise from euros
>t. flying turkey fan
>joke of the air
>Rafale : 50 million euro
Did you misspell FA-50 there?
Price to purchase varies, and what about maintenance, training, and spare parts? But if we assume I can get 3x Rafales as you say I'll probably go for F-35s if I can afford enough of them to cover my airspace. If not it depends on who I expect to fight and under what conditions.
Russia.
The think too is that A rafale can carry many more weapons, and if I can get 3 times more plane, it give me 3 times more missiles to carry even more.
Except no. Now a days you assuming the RAfale really is 50 million USD then you are only getting 1.5 Rafale for every F-35A.
>Russia
For operating in enemy airspace, F-35. For operating over own airspace, it depends on my budget and level of ambition. If I'm trying to maintain the ability to contest my airspace on a shoestring budget by carefully picking winnable fights to attrite the enemy and make it cautious to apply its air force en masse, larger numbers of aircraft spread over the country may be more valuable.
But there are other things to consider, such as how the chain of logistics might be affected differently for the two planes in an actual war, and what existing planes they're meant to replace or complement. Plus diplomatic concerns and if you can score some local manufacturing capacity for the planes in your own country.
>The think too is that A rafale can carry many more weapons
Not really in practical terms.
Rafale absolutely fricks its range and kinematics to carry heavy. F-35 does not. An F-35 can carry 10x munitions without havign a single thing external. Rafale needs to use nearly all of its hardpoints to do that and drags like a motherfricker in doing it.
>Rafale C standard: 57.52M€ before taxes
>Rafale M marine: 66.05M€ before taxes
>Rafale B two-seater: 61.87M€ before taxes
>Rafale F4 latest model: 175M€ based on recent UAE acquisition (80 for 14B€)
Still getting Rafales.
Why would you get a fricking jet with less capability that's not much cheaper to more expensive?
France doesn't just sell planes, there's a full technology transfer along with it. It's pretty much an open source plane you could use as a base to make your own. That's a lot more interesting.
I don't doubt the 35 is a fine plane, but is it really THAT wunderwaffeny?
Thr rafaele is crap. Don't be silly.
So basically F-35 is tanks vs cavemen with clubs, where the cavemen is literally any other fighter?
>Rafale : 50 million euro
>F35 : 145 million $
F35 costs $80 million per.
https://www.airforcemag.com/steady-f-35-price-reductions-likely-at-an-end/
I'd buy 3 KF-21 for the price of single Rafale.
easily f35
and the cost difference isnt that big you cant buy 2 rafales for an f35
Depends what nation I am and who I expect to be fighting. If I'm an African nation the Rafale is more than enough and I can spend the money saved on giving my pilots flight hours.
