the government is trying to prevent problems by prioritizing fuel distribution to food productors away from non-essential crops (such as sugar) and trying to "cut" fuel with bio-fuel, but its not enough. in some places farmers must wait 12 hours to get fuel for their machines. its crazy how much food prices are going up.
and this is before you take into account the fertilizer shortages. if the crops fail a lot of people are going to starve in the second half of the year.
everyone says its because of the war, apparently we import a lot of fuel and fertilizer from russia, and some of their exports couldn't reach us, they had to be diverted to other countries, or were cancellled in favor of domestic use
