This sentence is a dead giveaway. Also slavs frick up the word "the" all the time, though miraculously not in this post.

Oh yeah, I noticed slavs tend to struggle with "a", "an' and "the".

Russian doesn't have articles, I assume it's a bit of a "feature" across most Slavic languages, but I don't know

Most Slavic languages don't have articles.
Anglophones have a similar problem with gender when learning German/French. It's something you just pick up over time by getting a feel for it. The rules are there because linguists like to pretend languages have rules (and they do, but Calvinball-style rules).

unironically, gendered words are fricking weird. I get that I speak a weird creole/pidgin that grew out of Vikings wanting to sleep with farm girls which was then further influenced by Normans trying to seduce Tavern maids, but why is the dress male!?

So how is it a dead giveaway? A slav would pluralize tanks. Is it the "now" at the end? ESL here, how exactly would you write that sentence?

occam's razor says it's because the west wants ukies to suffer and die or because the west is testing it's weapons and the scientific method compels you to test them one at a time

      Anonymous

This is also the reason. The GWoT and now Ukraine serve as a real life test bed for weapons systems as well as giving troops real life combat experience. There is no subsitute for the real thing and if your forces are battle tested and the enemy(China/Russia) are not...well you've basically gained a massive advantage off the bat. This is why Russia is so eager to play the slow game as well. They are getting priceless data on their weapons systems, training, and troops. After a year of intense war with Ukraine Russian forces will be stronger and deadlier. Compare that to China who hasn't fought a real battle in decades. The best they can do is a stick fight with India.

Don't underestimate the value of this type of high intensity "evolution".

The West is in a desperate phase now. They understand that Ukraine is loosing, but they are still afraid to admit that nothing will change that, no amount of tanks and ifvs will save Ukraine from Russian victory. That's it. Purely political decision, Biden and other western elites do not want to loose their assets too soon.

This was never about protecting Ukraine. It was about bleeding Russia out. US wouldnt have done anything if Russia had really won in 3 days. When it become apparent that Putin had crippled the military with vast amounts of corruption, the west knew all they had to do was feed Ukraine the bare minimum to drag this war on for months.

If the US really wanted Ukraine to win, they would have given them the necessary equipment from the start.

it's definitely not what he says

they can't send everything at once because they don't want to give russia a single big reason to escalate massively
so they tiptoe forward, first a few launchers, then some artillery then some anti air, then some light tanks and now some bigger tanks
by normalizing every step before the next one, they're not giving russia a legit reason to say: ok you've crossed the line
also, the logistics and training take time

The west starts proxy wars and gives our old shit to the country that fights it. We then use that "aid" to buy new shit for ourselves. It takes time and effort to ship it all and for some reason they decided now is the moment for these particular tanks.

They needed time to set up places that would repair western being equipment in ukraine. Tanks and APCs are nice but you need to be able to fix them and Ukraine was only prepared to fix soviet equipment when the war broke out.

this plus getting homies trained up on all the equipment in the first place. by the time they actually make a public announcement they've been working on it for months and the stuff is already on the way.

It's not about "winning the war"

It's about making the war last as long as possible so they make max profits via the MIC. It also serves to deliver more blood sacrifice to their dark masters. They need to stretch modern wars out as long as possible. Victory is not measured in land captured but corporate profits made and gallons of blood spilled in sacrifice to the blood god.

It's so sad how many people think two dimensional and only see things as they are spoon feed to you. If war was about winning it would be waged with nukes and MOABs and the sky blacked out with cruise missiles. But that's not the point. Like a cat playing with a mouse it caught, then the mouse dies and the cat doesn't even eat it. The fun is in the chase.

Because sending western equipment is already a bureaucratic nightmare to begin with. The Ukrainians have to show they are able to operate the equipment qith utmost efficiency and see if the equipment is applicable in tje current theatre. You can't just send them all at once

because westoids are trannies coping that russia has been collapsing since march every two weeks
they could have just sent them the heavy stuff from the get go and russia would have been obliterated already

Shit takes time. Giant administrations move slow, especially government ones. Defense departments might have started drawing up plans to share equipment in February, but then not have a feasible way to do it for months.

Example: if you want to give foreign MBTs to Ukraine you need to train crews to use them and logistics support on how to maintain them. For larger logistical issues you might want shops on the Polish border. That requires clearing shit with Poland, getting a lease on property, moving logistics around, sending deployment orders to staff.

The US definitely wanted to help the UK when it started Lend Lease and eventually supplied over half the UK material used and provided a ton of food to the island too, but even at a breakneck pace it took a year to get that sort of aid flowing. Same with the USSR.

Now add in the fear that Ukraine might collapse and you get more reticence to send high end equipment in. There were also fears over Russian escalation.

I think we'll see more and more tank and IFV announcements coming through. It's what is needed to retake all the territory, which now seems like a reasonable goal.

Fighters, which pilots are being trained on, probably are less unlikely than most would think. JDAMs being sent over recently is a first step to Western fighter infrastructure being ready.

Governments move slow and tanks are heavy. Training and supply concerns too. Ukraine had been receiving T-72 tanks.
