It's not even that. Isreal is simply smaller than a single fricking Crimea with combat zones limited to a single percentile digit of its territory. You can completely monitor all of it 24/7 on a budget of a single Walmart store security.

Stop bringing up Israel every fricking time for fricks sake, they are blowing (surprisingly often) unarmed shitskins on a territory size of a Brooklyn, it has fricking nothing to do with warfare, it is barely even policing operation, because even fighting talibs was less one-sided.

there've been several vatBlack folk on here vehemently defending prison/army rape as an alpha thing in which the coldest MF around simply has to rape, no matter whether it's a male or female ass. since it's supposedly all about power dynamics, domination, humiliation and such and not the erect dick entering a man's crusty ass and ejaculating into it, which would be gay of course.
in summary for russians the problem is not the ass fricking itself, the problem is consent. picture western liberal gays that willingly take it up the ass and enjoy it, an idea worse than a thousand hells for russians

The "prison culture" is just the culture of the Russian Mafia, who are the true organization that rules Russia. Russia is the way it is because their leadership and elite are all former KGB, USSR state company officials and fricking mobsters. People still don't realize the "oligarchs" are all associated to the Russian Mafia.

              >"prison culture" is just the culture of the Russian Mafia
yup, the russian mob, the so called thieves in law originated from russian prisons and gulag camps, formed mainly during the years of stalin's terror when millions of soviet citizens were imprisoned, some of which were legit smart and capable people. politicians, engineers, ideologues, law enforcement, army officers, all sorts of government functionaries that were forced into a life among wolves and jackals.
after stalin croaked it many of them got released and returned back into their previous lives, jobs and titles but the criminal connections remained. nowadays the russian government lives in a symbiotic relationship with all sorts of criminal elements. lets them operate as long as it is kept under the wraps and sometimes orders them to do their dirty work, stuff like intimidation, murders and other kinds of violence to keep the populace and more imporantly, the critics down.

Thieves in law institutions got in many ways built out by the soviet regime, as to have a connection and use the criminal underworld as enforcers in prisons and gulag camps to suppress the "politicals" (those jailed under "political articles" of the criminal code, anyone from having a wrong relative or being of a wrong ethnicity or being not super poor, or just having your neighbors tell that you're an agent of japanese intelligence, etc).

Paying pilots to stay on duty is expensive and they have very few of them ready to go relative to the number of airframes. They also lack the more sophisticated targeting pods and the missiles to go with them to engage small targets with. You have to understand that the Russian economy is roughly the size of Italian one with a military 15 times the size so the costs have to be cut somewhere. Short range air defenses aren't too high on that list so they rely on few pantsirs and osas.

It remains a compelling mystery. The Russians posted it first, bragging about how Ukraine was stuffing their dead into port-a-graves, until somebody pointed out that it was in Russia, and the locals were complaining about the smell. That was when they went absolutely fricking ballistic about how it was entrails from a chicken processing plant (closed since before the war), or donations to a local dog shelter (404 location not found), but it most definitely was NOT dead Russian soldiers, because that's the kind of dehumanizing barbarism only the West would engage in, right?

It was funny because /chug/ was originally claiming it was cubed ukropiggies. Then someone geolocated it deep behind Russian lines and they went into a hysterical panic. Then it was some kind of meat package for an animal shelter despite there being no animal shelter within 100km. Obviously it's not cubed soldiers, but the amount of panic and rationalizing about it was very enjoyable.

                Anonymous

The only thing that makes it less than totally plausible is that the amount of processing required to strip the meat from who knows how many corpses and package them into cubes for transport is about 10 times more effort than Russia typically puts into handling its dead soldiers. When they aren't leaving corpses to rot where they fall, they just dump them in pits or heap them in a pile.

Ukraine has been busily nailing zigger radars though for like the last week. They've taken out multiple AWACS and Russia never had many in the first place and they're effectively lostech. People have been speculating but it definitely feels like we've seen a tipping point passed where there are now big holes in the nets and they just can't keep track of everything anymore.

Or maybe they were just sleepy. I get sleepy sometimes. Ukrainians cheated by attacking at night when everyone is trying to have a good nights nappy nap.

then, outside those two cities you have a bunch of second-tier cities, which were largely frozen in time in the 70s, and then you have 95% of russia proper which was also frozen in the 70s... of the victorian era, where having indoor toilet is a sign of doing alright

BTW Putin has publicly announced the requirements for Russia to enter peace negations with Ukraine:
    1. Ukraine’s complete withdrawal from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions in their entirety.
    2. Ukraine must officially abandon any plans to join NATO.
    3. Lifting sanctions against Russia must be a part of the peace deal and this deal must be binding.
If Ukraine agrees to these terms and begins concrete troop withdrawal from those regions Russia will immediately issue a ceasefire and guarantee the safe withdrawal of Ukrainian forces.

So, is the end in sight?

What the frick is up with these people?

When Putin and the Russians say they're fighting the US and the West they're not lying to you. They really do believe they are. They just see things like other people being capable of free will differently from civilized people.

      >1. Ukraine’s complete withdrawal from Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions in their entirety.
Ukraine isn't going to abandon territory that the Russians don't even hold.
      >2. Ukraine must officially abandon any plans to join NATO.
There is no reality where Ukraine doesn't join NATO or a NATO-adjacent alliance upon ceasefire. You'd have to be moronic to think anyone would keep their word on this.
      >3. Lifting sanctions against Russia must be a part of the peace deal and this deal must be binding.
The international community has no interest in rewarding bad behavior. Russia's rot is open for the world to see, and Europe and the US aren't afraid any more.

Doppler gate setup is a tricky problem. That's also how those spy balloons were able to overfly the USA for a while before being detected and intercepted. There are likely SOP doppler gates for S-300/S-400 etc that the Ukrainians know, and can exploit. Frontline units may vary the gates but a rando garrison unit back in the hinterland probably just goes by SOP.
