Folgore are not special forces, they are the italian equivalent of rangers.

OP pic is correct, that's the logo of Col Moschin, the special forces of the army
(you)r is the logo of the navy's special forces, COMSUBIN

Do rangers not fall under "special forces"? Or only certain rangers? I don't know much about this stuff.

        Anonymous

Special Forces is the official name for Green Berets, Rangers do have the Regimental Reconnaissance Company which is Special Operations.

          Anonymous

The 75th themselves are special operations. That category isn’t just reserved for their recon company. Some dude who goes off to ranger school then stays with his same old unit without moving up to the 75th isn’t a ranger and they aren’t special operations. The distinction between special ops and special forces doesn’t even apply here since the pic is about Europe.

The belgians were literally 5th Special Air Service during WW2, so you can't begrudge them keeping the logo in use.

Is Latvia. If you encounter a Latvian, be kind to them. They have a lot going on and not a lot to process it with.

I don't think it's the Bearslayer, fellows. I think it's poor late 90s design decision, and I think it's going for a Roman velite aesthetic.
Bear would be neat with the symbolism, and they are hard motherfrickers, but very subtle at the same time - had a medic from the unit do triage training for my platoon. Super chill, intelligent, soft-spoken dude who doesn't exist online. They have a monument a their HQ to the fallen that have never been mentioned in the news and never will.

SAS logo is iconic as frick, has just the right amount of detail to look unique but doesn’t feel cluttered, it’s all around the best there.

Turkey’s logo looks like it’s scribbled by a kid, but apparently it’s because it’s a shit vector drawing, so it’s not really that bad in reality, just utterly forgettable.

There are a few good designs there, the ones that most closely follow heraldic rules. Germany (both designs) and Finland are great.

There are much better renditions of the SAS insignia, but for some inexplicable reason the author chose that PrepHoletier piece of vomit with shadow gradients and awfully misaligned letters to represent Britain.

Austria is loathsome. Mixing symbolic sword iconography and discrete modern weapons. Just the absolute worst.

Anything with a bunch of extraneous crap like crowns and whatnot are beneath my consideration.
