If they're dead the operation is over.

Meming that there are no losses would just make Russia look like even more of a joke when tens of thousands of vehicles and hundreds of thousands of troops are sitting destroyed on Ukrainian territory. There's no "operational security" in trying to hide from your enemy what he already knows.

"RUSSIA STRONK RUSSIA STRONK RUSSIN STRONK 2 YEARS INTO THE 3 DAY SPECIAL MILITARY OPERATION AND NOT A SINGLE DEAD RUSSIAN TROOP RUSSIA STRONK RUSSIA STRONK RUSSIA STRONK" is not going to stop the Ukrainians from mowing down mobik meat waves.
It is literally inhuman to deny everything as Russia does, and to keep denying just reminds your opponent of just the level of insanity they're fighting against.

That's the result of the dissonance between making junkies and rapists into national heroes, and the organization turning against Shoigu in the Prigozhin Heresy.
Graves were built to honor them, then the Russian government had them leveled and I guess a pinkie promise was made to relocate them elsewhere. Nevah 4get

Tbh Russian ejection seats are dogshit. I believe it was in area 51 or one of those test sites had trainers in a F-16 vs SU-27 scenario and the SU had its seat fail and had to belly land in the desert.

        Anonymous

The K-36 is supposed to be a good but very heavy zero-zero seat AFAIK. That was one of the big reasons it wasn't chosen (licensed design) for the JSF program since it ate into the weight budget heavily.. Now if you said something about corruption eating into maintenance schedules.

          Anonymous

Failure to periodically replace ejection seat pyrotechnics is one thing but two seats not firing is a bit much. The canopy not blowing perhaps but I don't know if their seats also have canopy breakers or would refused to fire the seat rockets if the canopy remains.

          Any Russian seat gurus here?

              >Russians stopped dropping kabs on Kharkiv after this Su-34 had "technical failure"
              You mean FAB or kalibres?

Anyway, FABs are 500kg up to 3000kg.
The Su-34 technically has the payload weight to carry the 3000kg but it would probably not work and maybe that's even the cause of one of the Belgorod bombing incidents. Even just carrying a few 500kgs might cause enough sluggishness that a nap-of-the-earth flight might end badly.

                From the article:
                >the odds that millionaires received a regular audit by a revenue agent (1.1%) was actually less than the audit rate of the targeted lowest income wage-earners whose audit rate was 1.27 percent!
                lmao
It's just Reason doing the usual "tee hee ackthually your policies disproportionately hurt the poor, checkmate liberal" and they whip out a statistic that isn't that outrageous within context. It's like saying cop on black suspect interactions have a 10% higher chance of weapons being drawn than cop on white suspect, and then you look into it and overall it's 0.01% versus 0.011%. Yeah it's 10% higher but almost nobody gets weapons drawn on them so it doesn't fricking matter.

Counterpoint, the potential unpaid taxes from one person in the top 1% is orders of magnitude higher than for one person in the bottom percent. So to say “it’s almost the same for both groups so it’s actually fair!” is to ignore the magnitude of the crime being committed. It’s like saying that it’s “fair” to investigate murders with the same intensity as shoplifting

                Anonymous

The top 1% can afford to have all their taxes looked over to keep the IRS at bay.
Auditing the wealthy is also going to require more time and manpower, which means an auditor can get through multiple people in the time it takes for another auditor to finish up with a 0.1%er.
To the auditor who has to clear work off his desk, the magnitude of the crime doesn't fricking matter. It's gonna take much longer to look at the person with multiple sources of income and a lot more assets and who can also afford to have an expert keep his shit spotless. It's not about fairness. It's about finite resources. If investigating the wealthy requires, say, 10x more effort you'd expect the less wealthy to be investigated at 10x the rate. Instead, it's only at roughly 1.1x the rate.
If you want to make an analogy with murder, it's like trying to nail Agent 47 versus gangbangers. Sure 47 probably has more bodies, but the other morons are flat out posting their shit online to flex.
