During my teen party years, we used one single table as our BP table, but it was much more than that. It has signatures and messages from everyone who was anyone in our scene, many of whom are dead or I haven’t spoken to in years and probably never will again.
My best friend, the owner of the table is moving to Texas so he’s leaving me the table. I intend to hang it from my wall in my game room but I’m trying to think of the best way of doing that … I don’t want it to just be hanging by some anchors or something - I want to both immortalize it and protect it for years to come.
What should I do with it? It’s the kind in picrel, classic 6 x 2 folding table.

Hey I know this same story. My sharpie script is on a plastic panel somewhere in a landfill. So saying, here are my ideas.
Disasemble it. Save the hardware or grab a new set from a new table. Use the two tops as slab portraits. I assume sharpies and paint pens were used to sign. Go ahead and coat it with a non alcohol based waterproofing agent. There are several made for outdoor gear. Coat it 3-4 times then make some classy wooden frames. Hang the two near your bar and/or pool table.
Re-assemble as needed for future beer pong matches for those who are worthy.

Take a picture of it, it'll last longer, unironcally. Markers fade, plastic gets brittle and shatters

it might seem like doing the most but I thought building a custom frame where it had a few inches of clearance on either side and pouring in epoxy or some other sort of clear resin (I’m new to all of this) and find a big enough vacuum chamber to get all the air bubbles out, that would permanently encase it…
Is that even possible or would it weigh like 400 pounds
I think you'd be pretty well off if you just sprayed a few coats of some transparent plastic-safe clear coat over the table to protect the signatures. could polish the clear coat so it looks nicer.
For hanging it you could probably rig something up by tying rope to the frame and attaching it to some lag bolts you put in studs in your wall. Be sure you hit the studs or it won't hold
