Dream where the gun trigger pull is 1000 lbs

I have dreams where I have to use my CCW and the trigger pull is extremely heavy, and I can’t shoot. I just found out that this is a common shared dream. Why are others having the exact same experience? Anyone else?

Bull Shit... I bent my barrel from chasing a naked blond maiden in a dream.

That's the stupidest shit I've ever heard in my life. I have teeth grinding dreams where my teeth turn to powder I'm clenching so hard and I wake up with a sore jaw. My teeth are worn from years of this.

What happens in dreams is REAL.

You can get yourself a thing to put in your mouth while you sleep to prevent that.

What a load of shit I have plenty of dreams where I experience similar things like a kickback like doing infinite amount of pull ups or slamming my head on a wall.

Train more, preferably as soon as possible after the nightmare. If a new or unexpected issue shows up in a dream, then do drills that would give you the confidence to avoid or fix said issues.
Even small things like dry firing your gun a couple times after waking up can help you overcome this.

Horseshit. If this were true about the human body, how could you explain guns working and the feeling of a proper trigger break, recoil, and cycling within a dream? Hell, how would you explain the feeling of any physical sensation? Moreover, plenty of people move physically while asleep in reaction to things in their dreams. The most sensory suppression that I get in dreams is the absence of smell or dulling of pain.

Dreams where <object doesn't work like it should> are extremely common. This is just one example of it.
Ask yourself this question: Can you honestly say the trigger pull was super hard? Or would it be more accurate to say that the gun didn't go off when you expected it too but you don't really know why?

Yes, it was specifically the weight of the trigger pull. I think I’ve had one or two malfunction dreams but a significant number of impossible trigger pull weight dreams

It's a fear and you're living the fear through your dreams. Think: the likelihood of you ever even using your firearm in any defensive situation is almost none. Be more concerned about accidentally shooting yourself with a negligent discharge since that's way more likely to occur.

I think fear is a part of it. I will never ND though. I was blackout drunk for the first time two weeks ago and I woke up with my gun cleared & mag separated somehow. Guess I thought that was the safe thing to do

My experience with this has always been not enough training. I found that going to the range even just once after these dreams I now have a normal trigger pull.... when these dreams reoccur. Maybe if too much time is spent off the range we forget how a proper trigger pull feels? Idk.

Never. My nightmares have been where I shoot and it goes horribly wrong: in one a shadowy figure attacked me but I dodged aimed at the assailant and hit him twice. I then felt oddly proud and righteous in the dream…
Until the lights came on and I saw it was my cat with holes, taking his last breaths.

I woke up from the shock and grabbed my cat and sobbed like crazy telling him I’m sorry.
I still think of that dream

In my dreams they're either out of ammo or as effective as a nerf gun and can't kill anything. Sometimes the gun breaks apart in my hands like it's a cheap plastic toy, or I'm loading it but don't have enough time before I'm killed. I keep having recurring home invasion dreams where I can't defend myself.

idk. I have no problems killing people in dreams. My personal favorite was one from last year. I was at a kids soccer game with Artosis and Tasteless watching Artosis' kids playing and the other team grabbed the goal and were running around the field with it so I called them Protoss players and we all laughed about it. We went our separate ways to our cars and some crackhead tried to mug me with an airsoft gun so I drew my CZ-82 on him and he started crying and saying SORRY SORRY IM SORRY IT WAS A FAKE and I just laughed and said "I AM AFRAID FOR MY LIFE" and magdumped him in the head until it was pulp. Woke up with a shiteating grin on my face. I kill someone in a dream at least once a month or so.

Had a similar dream where I couldn't get the safety down on my 1911, and somehow I broke my thumb on the safety, and my finger on the trigger. Don't even remember what I was shooting at.

Your body is paralyzed when you dream so the thousand lb trigger pull is just you realizing you can't move your finger, I get them some times, recently I dreamed I was hitting a heavy bag but my arms felt as if they where under water and could barely move, same principle.

I’ve never had a trigger pull dream, but I have had a ton of dreams where I need to shoot and the bullets fall out of the magazine, sometimes they’re orange tic tacs
