What (if any) changes would you make in ranking the most powerful militaries in the world?

Black person, Saudi soldiers are so fricking incompetent and lazy that the Houthis regularly stomp them in one-on-one fights.

I've seen at least a half-dozen videos where Houthis walk up to their basecamps in broad daylight, catch them completely by surprise, and slaughter them because no on was doing sentry duty.

You could say this is a fairly good ranking by how well countries could defend their sovereignty with military force. However I think when you take force projection into account, which is likely the more relevant metric in many contexts, I would give more weight to GB and France and attach an anchor to countries like India and North Korea.

I would put Britain and France above China. Both of them have more force projection capability, not to mention militaries with actual experience and competence. In fact, India's military probably currently has more power than China's, though not for long.

Pakistan, Brazil and Egypt ahead of Turkey?
Egypt has been humiliated by Turkey in Libya, and Pakistan in recent years has turned to Turkey for weapons and assistance.
Brazil doesn't even fight real wars with anyone. Egypt should be lower than Iran, and I don't consider India to be #4 either.

Pakistan has nukes. And a bigger army. That changes things. Turkish army is small it's navy is non-existent. Air force and drones is the only strong portion. Majority of the pakistani hardware comes from China not turkey. It's only drone exports where the turks have been successful.

          >Turkish army is small
          No it isn't.
Turkish military is one of the largest in the world. It has less troops than Pakistan, but Turkish troops have real armored vehicles and protection, unlike Pakistani troops who ride around in pickup trucks with add-on walls and most troops wear no armored vests.

          >it's navy is non-existent.
Turkey has more corvettes, frigates and submarines than Pakistan has. It also just built an LHD this year. Turkey has been making ships for Pakistan, including 4 corvettes. Turkey builds ships for multiple countries including Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Nigeria, India, etc.

          >Majority of the pakistani hardware comes from China not turkey.
I know. That's why I said in recent years, not all time. Drones are not the only thing Pakistan has been buying: helicopters, ships, and small arms as well.

Pakistani military is filled with Chinese junk. POF did an expo a few years ago where they put black polymer furniture on a Type 56 and was falsely advertising it as an AK-103, even though it had none of its design features.
POF also buys Turkish pistols and rebrands them. The so-called POF X is a Girsan Regard Gen.2. Pakistan is the 10th largest importer of weapons, but doesn't rank in the Top 25 exporters.

Turkish army is quite pathetic, actually. I'm saying this as a Turk. Most of ours tanks are M48s and other armored vehicles are local designs of dubious quality.

It's better than Pakistan's, and who cares what you personally think? Turkey makes armored vehicles and exports them globally, Pakistan doesn't.

Lmao, as a Leaf I can safely say our army fricking sucks. Not for any faults of the individual training, or the quality of the individual soldier, but for the utter shitpile that is command and in the government for not acquiring new gear. I mean ffs the last time Canada had an impactful update to their armed forces was back in the early 2000's. Since then, it's been crickets.
