I did when I was a teenager.
Then I cared a little less 19-22, but still thought they were boring and dumb.
So I bought a springfield 1911, a kahr cm9, a CZ 75, a star PD
And after all those were utter dogshit I finally bought a glock 17.
Now the only semiautos (I have a few revolvers) I own is a g17, g19, g26.
I suffered a lot of bullshit to learn function > form

It's memes because
Ugly, shitty triggers, uncomfortable square grips, shitty sights. It's a culmination of terrible
Said >ugly
Subjective, and irrelevant >shitty trigger
Undoubtedly false, in the top 5 stock triggers of common semi autos used for duty >uncomfortable grips
Subjective >square grips
Anon failed 3rd grade math I see >shitty sights
Sights work just as good as any modern fat notch sight.
You've never shot a glock, you just listen to other noguns who thing glock is too popular, and want to be a special little snowflake, by co forming to all the other special little snowflakes who fetishize contrarianism.
>everyone immediately upgrades triggers and sights after purchase >this is entirely invalid because too many people do it
the mental gymnastics glocktards will do to justify their completely average products never ceases to amaze
you could:
1) notice the >9000 different aftermarket trigger and sight options for sale
2) read/listen/watch any comparison between any model glock and a similar pistol made by another brand
3) talk to anyone who owns a glock and literally anything else
4) ask the anyone here who doesn't have the glock logo tattooed to their scrotum
5) go to a range and compare options
6) go to an FFL and compare options
glock stock sights are notoriously shit, and glock triggers are notoriously average. i would wager most of the people here who own a glock have at minimum upgraded one or the other.
apex triggers are objectively better in every conceivable way. striker fire triggers will never be as good as a high quality SA, but the stock glock triggers are smushy and gross when compared to the competition.
Nah I like the look. It looks sleek, classic, timeless, functional...when you say pistol, the majority of people will think of one that looks like a Glock. I only have 1 in my small (5) pistol collection so I'm not one of those tards that buys the same exact Glock 5 times either.
Yes, but there's also something about their looks and ubiquity that make them look "right" for a duty or carry gun. I have a Shadow 2, Sigs, and others, but something about my Glock 45 just looks right. I'll be picking up a 19 soon too.
I agree, they have a utility aesthetic. The Shadows are the only Gucci Glocks I like but I’m a pretty much stockgay with the exception of sights and a trigger in my Gen 4.
Absolutely this. >mfw when new to gun wild and gigantic universe >basic civilian family man searching for a fair prices, full options models, wide availability and wide aftermarket >glocks are everywhere and do basically everything needed
Yes, blocky, unaesthetic and the damn trigger guard demolishes my ring finger always. Only ones I've been able to use comfortably were the Lone Wolf clone and an abomination with a gen 3 slide and gen 5 grip
Glocks are perfectly average guns. Its not Kel-Tec ugly, but also not 92-aesthetic. They also perform extremely average, and so do almost every single clone. A coyote tan Glock, however, looks pretty cool, and almost all Glock customizations give it a little more soul.
What's a good alternative lower for a Glock 40 upper?
Nobody else that I know makes 6 inch 10mm barrels and the package looks absolutely nasty, but I hate the Glock grip angle.
Yes, I've shot them plenty of times at ranges and ones owned by friends that left me feeling unpleased with it. Only pistol I buy are metal frame ones like the 226 or the hi power.
Absolutely, but I kinda like the first two generations.
Ugly as frick
Absolute sex right here
is there a noteworthy aesthetic difference beyond color?
Grip texture and finger grooves.
And the lack of an accessory rail on the frame. I got mine for $350 and it has an excellent trigger after years of use. Gen 2s are where it's at.
Nah, they look neat.
they look ok
I'm faping to you in your dreams!
glocks themselves are ugly as ballsacks, but a lot of their clones are nice looking
t. Black person tier gangbanger or my dad
hello son
>be Black person
>accidentally spend 2x on a better glock instead of just calling my hi-point a glock
>find son on /k/
>be disappointed
This looks tacky as hell. Like something only white trash, mexicans, or blacks would like.
>doesn't look like a box
>glocktards are disgusted
>making it less smooth, snaggier, and adding lines and color to it
>LOOK GUYZ A RACE GUN AM I JUAN WEK NOW?!?!
>seething because he could have had better glock upgrades for half the price
Those guns go for around $1000 you stupid Black person
and how much would the upgrades cost separately you stupid Black person?
The amount I put into mine would shame most people.
double that and you're getting close
Imagine bragging about spending 2k+ on a Glock. Fricking kek
Who’s left that can legally or less than legally own one?
See, this is what I'm saying, the Factory OEM Gen 2 and Gen 3 Glocks look "clean"
I will accept the front serrations of the Gen 5, but anything more that that is just dildos.
No front serration Gen 5 is peak Glock.
How is this miracle even possible ?
Early gen 5’s
Never made it in time to buy an early gen 5 so I settled for the glock 17 p80 remake.
This homie knows. That front slide bevel with the finger groove-less grip make me cum. One day I will sell my gen 4 to get one.
pic unrelated?

Lies.

i am
but not the other one, sorry try again
ok then why should anyone else care?

you probably shouldn't

post an example of this (not him just curious)

1) notice the >9000 different aftermarket trigger and sight options for sale

I could but I don't care enough to spend more than the time it takes me to type into a text box on learning about the wide wide world of glockshit
people swap them out then b***h that they don't work
that's why i kept mine stock, the trigger is fine, it doesn't have to be some sub 2lb instagrammer tier trigger to put shots on target within 25 yards
apex triggers are objectively better in every conceivable way. striker fire triggers will never be as good as a high quality SA, but the stock glock triggers are smushy and gross when compared to the competition.

When will the release {Current Gen} glock 40’s?
what features will it have?
Colum A and Colum B
It's a mostly a brick, however gen 2 and gen 3 have a certain aesthetic to it that is indeed pleasing to the eye.
Sometimes less is more, and most Glock clones look too busy, with textures and serrations that clash or look garish.
Fresh from the factory yeah. Those cheap copies they sell now (frick me can't remember the name and brand) they look much better tho
Gen 5s? Absolutely
G36 is the most aesthetically pleasing
Your Mom is ugly, but she to is well worth the $500.
My mom is dead?
He's a necrophiliac. It's PrepHole. Deal.
Well, I already paid and a date is a date. Send over Friday night.
Glocks are for people that don't care about aesthetics and just want something that checks all the boxes and costs less than the competition.
Absolutely this.

Where I live saying for someone that he is "osterreicher" is insult like in total lack of taste or sense for aesthetics.
I like the ugliness, its a part of their identity. Just a real simple, utilitarian, industrial gun
i thought they were ugly at first but now i don't. it's an acquired taste like beer
Stockholm

no but they are boring. 40 years and all they have is one fricking gun.
What's a good alternative lower for a Glock 40 upper?
Nobody else that I know makes 6 inch 10mm barrels and the package looks absolutely nasty, but I hate the Glock grip angle.
Worse - boring.

Lmao. This can’t be real?
Anon, I don't know how to tell you this... but it's 100% real.
Yes they are aesthetically ugly guns. They function in the range of poor to almost decent. Altogether it’s a Taurus tier gun
Agreed
It’s tuarus tier that you overpaid for
Yeah.
Yeah
I like how they look.
I think they are the best looking steiner fired gun aside from maybe the vp9.
i don't think of glocks at all
yes you do, you're doing it right now
I like the story behind the Roland Special and therefore think they look good. But a tool is a tool and function is paramount.
Yes, I've shot them plenty of times at ranges and ones owned by friends that left me feeling unpleased with it. Only pistol I buy are metal frame ones like the 226 or the hi power.
>Do you think Glocks... are ugly?
they're not pretty but they work
Do they though?
Maybe not for your troonywrists but actual men even actual women can shoot them pretty flawlessly.
No I think they are sexy as hell and I love mine. Then again, I also like fat girls. Everyone has different tastes I guess.
I used to hate how they look but they grew on me.
Just peak utilitarian shit, like you turned a power tool into gun form.
