Does your sexbot have to walk? Or just roll around in bed? Also are you ok with scooping out the loads from its holes after every session? Keep in mind this will reduce expenses tremendously.
>Be you in 2033 >Try to steal an old, rickety 2022 Tesla >You accidentally set off the alarm >The McPolice have already been notified >They send out the camera drones and the McRape bots >You see the McRape bots come running around the corner of block in your rearview mirror >their wieners flapping as they run >One of the Drones EMPs the car killing it and causing the doors to lock >feeling of panic, and raw fear swells up in your chest right as the McRape bots make it the car >They surround it and one smashes the windshield and grabs you by the collar >You try to break free but it has a grip of iron >Two other McRape bots come over and help the first pin you to the ground ass up >The firs one rips of your clothing while the others restrain you > As you strain your neck trying to see what is going on you see their 9 inch silicon dicks beginning to grow and harden >The first one now mounting your naked ass, presses its rubber hardon into you >Another one uses its wiener to gag you by gaping your throat with its 8 inch silicon girth >The camera drones begin recording and live streaming to all the smart billboards nearby >It begins thrusting using its McVax fluid mixed with blood for lube >After 30 minutes it finishes, filling you with its McFlurry goodness >the bots sprint away to the scene of another crime as quickly as they came >You lay there a traumatized, McBuckbroken shell of a man
The sexbots of the future will be quite capable oof advanced motor function.
>Also are you ok with scooping out the loads from its holes after every session?
that's a selling point if anything

Unfortunately, real muscle fiber IS complicated, and the best we can do so far is shitty mimicry of its function. Actually getting a robot to move is still best done with some combination of electromechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic devices.
it is quite easy though and was already achieved in different ways with different shape memory polymers that can be stacked up and whatnot, the problem is high costs for manufacturing and maintenance
Form factor is the actual factor. If it were just cost and maintenance, people would be pushing through those problems. But we literally havent figured out how to create and form whatever artificial muscle compound to function on a robot like the bd one.
The fact that you can't pack a bunch of them together like muscle. Unless you also pack them with some kind of cooling (which complicates matters), you basically lose the ability to make them relax quickly when they're all packed together, generating heat and insulating each other.
Additionally, polymers in general have issues with creep. They tend to slowly deform over time in response to applied loads. This, by the way, is exacerbated by high temperatures. Even if they do maintain the internal stresses required to make them work the way they do over time (they don't), they wear out quickly in actual use.
This idea isn't new. It's just never gone anywhere because it kind of sucks in practice.
A lot. For one, using heat to relax/contract is kind of dogshit. It just has too many problems. Figure out how to make a scaleable robotic muscle fiber actuated by electricity, and you’ll be a fricking billionaire.
Packed (yet electrically isolated) carbon nano tube strands potted silicone and applied high voltage for the repelling Coulomb force between individual strands would be strong and highly energy efficient.
https://www.bostondynamics.com/atlas says it's hydraulic. Quite impressive how they fit the hydraulic lines (you need two, feed and return for hydraulic actuation) and control wiring for all that into these narrow looking black nylon hoses. Also, these are its most vulnerable point. Sever them and you'll render everything downstream inoperable since there's not going to be any wiring inside joints. Stay clear of the lines by e.g. using the front third of your sword/rusty cleaver/chainsaw, especially when severing the major ones. Hydraulic lines are very high pressure and whiplash in a rather deadly manner when severed.
hydraulic or mechanic
my bet is on mechanic
pneumatic is too flexible to accurately control motion accurately under variing loads.
Mechanic seems unlikely as they are too slow and not flexible
it's hydropneumatic, actually.
Sex bot when? Just install a Fleshlight with squeeze settings, heating, and lubrication. Could even wrap it in fake skin.
>Sex bot when
Just tape a flesh light to a roomba

This is not the future I fricking wanted damn it.
Its the one the liberals want. So fight, fight with everything you've got. Now go forth and wage war against the antichrist.
Free wieners? What's not to like?
I'm not a homosexual.
normalgoy subhuman
sounds hot but you'll already be living in the vats by the time this future arrives

Obviously a sex bot would have a removable pussy that you toss in the dishwasher.
moron, a sex bot would clean itself. Thats kind of the whole reason to make it a robot, so it can do shit itself.
>pssst pssst pst
I just assumed it used electric motors
>liquid gushing everywhere as the everything tears down from jumping
electrohydraulic
>Do they use pneumatic or hydrolic actuators?
you can tell what they are by looking at them.
Why is it so hard to make synthetic muscle fibers. Doesn't sound that complicated.

That's because you don't know what you're talking about
Great comment, homosexual

>a fricking string
You say that, yet you don't cut out yours
Curious!
Okay now pack the strings in that paper like the strings in your picture.
Ok just give me the money for the means to recreate their process
>im smarter than the thousands of people already trying to figure this out
Certainly have more balls than someone discouraged by appeal to bandwagon
Ignorance is not courage

Can the fricking thing operate for more than 10 minutes...seems like there isn't much space for batteries there.
im betting they're mostly DC servo-motors
