Place is a fricking death trap. It looks super unassuming and nice, until you get fricking lost because any of the non-famous trails are just left to rot. Last summer I went hiking there, and since I am an Autist, chose to hike one of the lesser traveled trails up Mount Washington. Few hours pass and I realize I’m completely lost. There were so many dead leaves and shit on the trail that I lost track of it and wandered off of it by mistake. I was lost for two days without anyone to call for help or report me missing. Luckily I wandered onto a dirt road and followed it back to a highway, but I was super scared that I was going to end up in one of those Missing 411 books. The whole place is also covered in rocks and random hills, and it’s really easy to hurt yourself.
Do not hike there.
Any place in the wild is dangerous if you're a clueless, inexperienced trailhiking cidiot. Next time be more prepared or stay in Boston.
>noo don't go PrepHole sit inside and do nothing
have a nice day.
You shouldn't go outside if you're an unprepared moron.
>letting a "special needs" person waddle off into the woods
your wrangler really fricked up.
i tell the same thing to all the shoobs who try to come where i live too
>I was super scared that I was going to end up in one of those Missing 411 books.
I like that 99% of those "missing 411" cases can be explained by an intense case of mental moronation and shitty S&R.
Man, if only there had been a device you could have taken along that would have told you which direction you were heading, maybe using some crazy magnetic field sorcery
Kek.
I mean, he's successfully flexing on OP.
Understandable, however I woud bring a compass.
Best time to hike there is january. Go in a tee shirt and sweatpants. Bring dry teeshirt and sweatpants and a jacket in case you get cold.
Just say you’re an inexperienced zoomer who is too lazy to learn how to navigate and too poor to buy a GPS
I don’t like to bring technology while on hikes, ruins the feel
So learn to navigate without GPS so you don’t get lost then
How did you even get lost??
You can just turn back my man. There are easier ways to spend time in the woods.
>Do not hike there.
Are you... are you really trying to flex with a picture at 6200'?
Fun fact most mountains on the east coast are taller than west coast mountains but average elevation is higher on the west coast
>most mountains on the east coast are taller than west coast mountains
literally all the northern rockies and 90% of cascade mountains are taller in prominence than any east coast mountain outside of the kennebec.
>he doesnt know abiut Cactus to Clouds or Sand to Snow hikes in the wesr coast
nobody tell this east coast homosexual about our most based hikes
Torre Egger’s peak is 8,809’ is it not a real climb or real mountain to you because it’s under 10k’ or something?
High school was a struggle for you.
That picture was taken in November.
And?
How the actual frick does one get lost on Mt Washington? Just hike uphill. You get above the treeline and find where the frick you want to go (probably the summit).
you better be fricking trolling/10
I've been lost 0.8 miles from the summit. Granted it was middle of February with 80 mph gust and in -40F ambient temp in white out conditions. Eventually I was able to locate the marker but decided to turn around cause it was gonna be rough to ride out that storm above tree line.
Have you never been above the treeline in a white out?
yeah i just use my compass and the eskimo hand technique if i for some god forsaken reason dont bring my goggles
>eskimo hand technique if i for some god forsaken reason dont bring my goggles
Holy shit crosspost that to PrepHole man's looking sharp
>hike up hill
best way to die and never be found 101
>t. has never been on Mt Washington.
Washington has a parking lot, a resto and a ranger station on its summit. Lake of the Clouds hut is near by. It has trails radiating out from the summit in all directions. It has a fricking train that runs up to the summit. It's bizarre combo of civilization but also danger as it is exposed and the weather can turn to shit very fast.
Anyway, above the tree line, you will see hikers, hear the train, see the cairns and trail markers and get yourself unlost.
>he didn't document his journey and turn it into a comfy PrepHole kino like that aspie Stepan guy that kayaks random islands in holland or somewhere
missed opportunity, fampai
How would I of documented it?
I don’t like to interact with people, and I don’t like bringing advanced technology with me.
>I don’t like to interact with people
So why are you here?
>How would I of documented it?
by recording video clips, narrating the scenes, editing it and putting it on youtube
Then fricking die, or learn to use a map.
Also you don’t have to talk to anyone on a trail moron.
>I don’t like bringing advanced technology with me.
Hiding it in your backpack pretending it's not there is better than potentially dying like a moron.
You made a conscious decision to leave any navigational tools out of your kit, had a valuable learning experience, and here you are b***hing about it. Next time stay lost for longer.
I get lost on purpose, and can never seem to get lost. Trails are for gays.
t. deep dark hills of eastern kentucky
Can’t you just get a GPS homosexual? Or just like, go on the main trail?
Lmao this post is bait
>the whole place was covered in rocks and random hills
Fricking kek
Anon, this whole board is bait. Are there any actual quality threads here anymore?
I don’t know man. At least I asked a valid question with my ice climbing thread.
next time use the gps maps on your phone, you can download offline maps for google maps or another app
even without the offline maps it's a emergency compass that will run out of battery
I don’t bring my phone with me on hikes
>needing a trail to not get lost
moron
Shut up homosexual, I'll go where I please
>getting lost next to a giant landmark that sticks miles into the air
Did you not have any maps or a compass? Do you even know how to get your bearings?
i know a senior producer at NPR
Im gonna have her make a story about how more black people need to hike there... LOL BTFO OP NICE TRY
