Do countries have experimental weapons and tactics to fight against any threat?

Do countries have experimental weapons and tactics to fight against any threat? I heard from an old korean war vet that they had trained for anything from plague outbreak to extra terrestrials and everything in between. Is this true or was he funning me? If true what kind of weapons do you think they have their sleeves for possible alien or dinosaur attacks?

    >defending against alien attack
Stop this nonsense, if an extraterrestrial species is advanced enough to visit us, we don't stand a chance.
    >dinosaurs
They're just animals dude, we could easily hunt them to extinction if we wanted to. Not to mention the complex ecosystems required for their proliferation no longer exists.
    >angry monkey
    Easily killed by modern firearms.
    >plague outbreak
Modern medicine is light-years ahead of fourteenth century Europe, this is a non issue.

How do you know? Maybe the aliens have lived peacefully for millions of years and don't even know what violence is. Maybe one homeless guy could enter their mother ship and kill every single one of them with a sharpened Natty Daddy can. Look up "Stephen's Island Wren Incident".

Not a dime, they were mocking the overt product placements of movies of the era.

        >At the time the film was made no Head & Shoulders product contained selenium sulfide, but the company used the film to introduce their selenium product which was released when the film came out.
