Did your school ever give you cringe anti-gun lectures.
My cousin's elementary school apparently did an anti-gun rally.
>Stop
>Don't touch
>Tell an adult!
Apparently one of the teachers said to never touch a gun ever.

No
>one of the teachers said to never touch a gun ever
Teachers have to worry about being shot more now than ever before. I can't blame them for being on that side of the argument. You have to be 18 to post here kid.
Quads of truth, although I'm near 30
nta but we were hearing this shit in school even pre columbine, in KY of all places
Maybe they should stop protecting bullies and enabling them to drive other kids to mass shootings.
Just a thought.
>b-b-but the bully's parents will yell at me!
Get shot then, I guess, if you can't tell some gays to fuck off.
We need more bullying in schools, not less.
>We need more bullying in schools
Agreed we need more columbine era kino.
Supremely gentlemanpilled
No, we need less consequences for students that kick bullies teeth in. Bullies tend to work for the government when they don't become part of the fentanyl statistics.
The worst shit to have ever happened to the american education system was the 'zero tolerance' policies which meant both students got the same punishment. Which basically equates to neither side being punished. It then ingrains learned helplessness into the bullied party and teaches the bully that they face no consequences worse than their target exacerbating the problem.
The real reason why this was implemented was because schools are lazy as hell. Not even the teachers want to be in public school. Instead of doing the minimum to find the guilty party and administer fair punishment they simply throw their hands up and expel both students.
>Eddy Eagle
A core memory. My dad 'gave' me my first .22lr and let me shoot before I saw these videos. I didn't see Eddy Eagle until like 6th grade or so?
>Not even the teachers want to be in public school.
Kek
That was the worst part of it all. And also the best. The worst because the one bullying likely doesn't give a single shit about being expelled but the one getting it does since they actually give a shit about their future. But you can work this to your favor. One time anyway. The schools I went to had two strike policies. First time you get caught beating/getting your ass beat, it's suspension. Second time is expulsion. No exceptions. So if you become a mark and a fucker is fucking with you and they've already been suspended once while you haven't yet, you have every opportunity to just walk up to him and hit him. You're only going to be suspended and him expelled. Problem solved. Though now you are the one that will get fucked if anyone decides they don't want to see you around anymore. You had to be very strategic with it.
2/10 bait. Go back
Teachers are more likely to Rape their students than be shot by them.
Students unironically have more to fear of their trachers than Teachers have to fear of their students.
Teachers are tyranny commie homos
That's not anti-gun, that's the same shit the NRA used to teach in schools back when it was still socially acceptable for the NRA to talk to kids at school. They had a silly mascot costume "Eddy Eagle" to appeal to the kids.
Don't touch it, tell an adult is good advice if we're talking about first graders.
>They had a silly mascot costume "Eddy Eagle" to appeal to the kids.
They also used the stop/don't touch/leave the area/tell an adult. There was even a video. RLM found one somehow and laughed themselves silly at the idea of kids killing themselves with misplaced guns only for Eddy Eagle to show up too late to save them.
>They also used the stop/don't touch/leave the area/tell an adult.
Yes, that's what I meant when I said it was the "same shit". The *exact* same quote has been in use for decades.
It's reasonable advice, too. A dumb little kid shouldn't be handling a gun unsupervised by an adult. And if a kid randomly finds a gun outside or whatever, there's a good chance it's criminal evidence.
This. If anything, it's a good thing that your cousin is learning gun safety early on. Why not take the opportunity to continue to teach him proper firearm safety and bond with your cousin OP?
The only good gun safety culture was the Static Shock episode depicting bullying and school shooters. Cleary displayed the cause of the shooting.
>lazy teaches
>failing support structure
>horrendous bullies
>kids finding ways to get their hands on guns no matter what
>encouraging kids to avoid guns and speak up about bullying and supporting each other.
Don’t make ‘em like that anymore
Ancient memory. Holy shit I forgot all about that.
The 00s were actually kinda kino
Boy howdy.
exactly this. this is gun safety for kids. they shouldn't be doing anything with guns without adults present.
No but we had the jesus power lifters rip a phone book in half and blow up a hot water bottle.
>jesus power lifters
Damn, where can I find some of those? I want to challenge them to lift the Inch dumbbell.
You didn't have the guy karate chop through cinderblocks?
>Jesus power lifters
wtf that sounds rad, we just had a lot of faggy DARE talk, people telling us to stop bullying, and a cop who would later be arrested for finger blasting a bunch of teenage boys telling us how to not get molested by men in white vans
What's crazy is that I totally remember these guys. Did you have the guy who bent a piece of iron rebar before talking about the Holy Spirit too?
Absolutely, one of them competed at that California beach gym and they played the clip. The best part was busting open the coke can with one hand and absolutely drenching the front rows.
the Power Team?
OH SHIT I REMEMBER THAT ONE
Fuck yeah. They wore sunglasses and a bandana and blew that shit up. I still remember that shit as a 30 year old lol.
Be a champ!
>let me tell you a story kids
>tom and sam were out playing with bb guns
>they sat down on a bench and sam accidentally fired his bb gun and shot tom in the lung and he died (this literally was the entire story almost word for word)
>THAT kids is why you should never touch guns ever ever!
Me being a boy scout who plays with bb guns and takes gun safety courses, went
>why didn't he just use the safety switch, or not keep it loaded, or not point the gun at his friend
and her reply was
>well you cant always remember to do that so you should never go near guns ever
>ban assault style BB guns
>A single BB is so powerful it'll blow the lungs out of you
Found the weapon in question.
The story does line up with it being a sneak attack critical
He obviously had finesse.
Fuck that reminds me there was a company that (IIRC in the 90s) used to make Red Ryders into .22lr rifles and put an integral suppressor in the shroud. Where the fuck did I read that? Fuck. Might've been one of my many gun books, I forget. Their whole thing was silencers.
No. My old school has raffled off shotguns and AR-15s multiple times as a fundraiser
That's insane.
its nice going to an all white christian school, isnt it?
I used to hear about the constipation, and the cramping you get from it. when I volunteered at a homeless shelter they used to talk about the after effects of it. they would have to go to the ER to get the shit chiseled out with water. we called the rescue squad on 4 in one night and the one had a perforated colon.
See a gun?
>Stop
>Don't touch
>Tell an adult!
See muh dick?
>Let's fucking go!
>Touch it!!
>Don't tell an adult!!!
Why are teachers like this now..?
I also invent situations in my head to be upset about.
How is this smug reaction face called? Looks new.
For the wheel of the worst with that Eddie the eagle vid
>Haha here's some leftist influencers to say guns are bad, kids!
How compelling, chud.
I remember them bringing a junkie to tell us not to do heroin, that's all I can remember.
Did he tell you about the constipation?
I never hear anti-drug programs talk about the constipation heroin gives you, but apparently it's so bad that you occasionally have to dig 10 pounds of shit out with a spoon.
Out of all the things that you could tell kids about opioid addiction, it seems like the one thing that they would actually view as disgusting rather than glamorous.
We just had D.A.R.E
>blurry drunk goggles
>low res print outs of nasty infections caused by drugs
>marijuana is a gateway drug
>people WILL pressure over and over to take drugs
>cigarettes will kill you
>pencils that’s say “don’t do drugs” that we just scratch off to say “do drugs”
Good times.
Same, but I was a kid in the 90s so drugs were pretty much all that was going to happen outside of maybe getting molested.
I remember that shit. The assignments we got were pretty fucking tedious. Glad I'm not impulsive nor have the desire to do drugs because that shit sure as hell didn't help.
>nooo gun safety is le bad!
? Anon I get that the person teaching is probably a gun grabber but for fucks sakes
>don't play with guns you little dipshits, get an adult before you have a nice day
is solid advice. Not drilling gun safety into people while they're young is how you get dumbfucks at the range flagging people with their finger on the trigger.
>cigarettes will kill you
I mean at least this one is true
It's been confirmed that marijuana leads to schizophrenia. Seethe.
In less than 1% of the population.
That anon here, I don’t touch pot with a 10 foot pole. It’s good and bad. It’s not bad when truly medicinal but shitty when abused. Though it shouldn’t be in the same field of crime as hard drugs
Actually it just activates the schizophrenia people already had. If you smoked weed and went crazy, it just sped the process up
It’s been confirmed that anon is illiterate and cannot read basic scientific studies.
Seethe.
lol i remember that, didn't do much looking back. Vaguely remember some "stay away from guns" stuff. It was less anti-gun and more anti-"dumb kids putting holes in each other playing around" though. Didn't stop me from finger fucking my great grandfathers henry rifle i found while searching for presents. Kids are dumb, telling them to stay away from guns if the parents are too lazy to teach them to respect them isn't the worst idea.
We had this and some anti-gang thing where the police came and stepped on gang flags and showed us videos of people getting jumped into gangs.
Lol gangs. Who joins a gang?
Who do you think?
W-white people?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clayton_County,_Georgia?useskin=vector#Demographics
>even one marijuana will kill you
>the police won't
D.a.r.e. gave a lot of bad advice tbh.
My elementary school didn't say anything when I had a toy revolver on my hip for cowboy day.
t. Texan who loved playing cowboy as a kid
This.
Guns were literally a non-issue all the way through highschool.
>tfw even 11 year old me knew it was a bullshit dog and pony show
All DARE did was make me realize drugs exist and (some) sound like a real good time
And now you're an addict languishing away on PrepHole?
And so are you! As they say, great minds think alike
Our DARE branch brought a couple cops and this cool robot thing in to our elementary school. It was like some sort of remote controlled thing that looked like the robot from Short Circuit and had a bunch of prerecorded lines to make it look like the cops were talking to it. There was another instance where they showed us a video of some guy tweaking out in his apartment which for some reason had a camera in his bedroom and it showed him getting high and jumping off a window to his death. Poor guys, they go through so much effort for us and I still ended up getting high twice a month while wearing a DARE shirt I got outside a liquor store for free. Never got any anti-gun bullshit though, but I was raised in Hispanic infested El Paso, Texas, so the people there probably just didn’t give a shit about guns
A DARE shirt or sticker is the universal sign of a millennial druggie.
It's kind of beautiful.
If I was a kid and I saw a gun I'd take it and keep that shit, fuck Eddie Eagle
Post the almost 20yo /b/ post
nta but ???
Children probably shouldn't be interacting with firearms without adult supervision.
They also probably shouldn't be fucking around with a gun laying around in the middle of nowhere because it's probably a discarded murder weapon.
All we had was the don't touch and call a teacher shit
Me and some other kid got yelled at for pretending our lunchboxes were guns, dumb cunt teacher said something to the effect of "that actually happened, people died, so you can't do that"
Also
>drive by same elementary school
>see this painted on the side of a building
What does this flag have to do with elementary school kids?
No wonder people are moving their kids to private and home schools
That's the American flag, what are you talking about?
Checked
Teachers care more about students making finger guns at each pther than they do about adult male crossdressers letting their penises flop out around kindergarteners.
>why are those people around small children in the first place
When I was in first grade they had don't touch and tell an adult stuff, it was mostly about different drugs but they included guns and knives too it's hardly anything new
Eddie the Eagle was NRA-funded to protect retarded kids who wanted to play with their dad's gun that they had never seen before. Any kid with good parents taught them gun safety before they needed it, but there were probably dozens of niglets that got a "get out of being put on a t-shirt free" card due to Eddie's advice.
>slowly trending upward
just a matter of time before someone you know <18 dies at school because the 18< americans are dumb af
every other day its some <18 takes mum/dads gun to school. a few laws and the number of school shootings would plummet.
The thing is I don't care, the number of kids that would have to die for me to support gun control is always a couple more kids than currently exist in the world. And every kid that's born makes that number go up.
>anti-gun lecture
Eddie Eagle told me that if I find a gun I shouldn't touch it and should tell an adult, and he's with the NRA
I got suspended in I grade 9 for including a gun in a sketch for an art project. Literally just a sketch of an SVD got me a two day suspension from school. My dad thought it was fucking funny and took me shooting instead of "addressing the problem". All it really ended up doing was reassure me that I should be a gun owner if the education system was so against even just a lame drawing. That was about 2012 or 2013? Can't remember but the school system justified my belief in gun ownership and teaching my kids guns aren't some terrifying malevolent force. All this time on PrepHole and I finally have a reason to bring that story up.
That kind of stuff made me laugh as a kid. ANY depiction of guns, drugs, or gambling was prohibited. So doodles with guns was punished. Even a dude that had a deck of cards on his shirt was scrutinized because it maybe have been pro gambling.
Had an art teacher that wanted IIRC weekly sketches (of real, somewhat interesting objects you owned or could access for sketching) and our projects, which varied in what you could realistically draw due to changing art styles we were supposed to use. I distinctly remember"NO MUSHROOMS EVER REEEEE" because drugs bad. Even though 50% just make your guts rearrange themselves making your life hell, 30% are food, and the remaining 20% probably either just straight up kill you or maybe make you high. Everything was rather realistic but there's a ton of scenes you could draw that would really benefit from mushrooms.
"Stop, don't touch, tell an adult" isn't an anti-gun message. Its good to teach kids not to play with guns they find outside. The same with used drug needles etc.
we got told we'd go to hell for sending dick and titty pics to each other and having sex is rape
Yeah, that's way off. Premarital sex is adultery.
>Having sex is rape
I mean legally speaking, it is. Minors can't consent so two 14 year olds going at it is statutory rape of each other.
I think it cancels out when they're both minors.
Read that one in context please. I don't need it in my file.
Not legally it doesn't. Effectively it does. Since it's a case involving two minors, the parents of both parties are who have to deal with it and what happens is that they ultimately drop it since if one side tries to press charges and put the other kid in juvy, the other side gets to threaten the same thing. So instead of both parents putting each other's kid in juvy, they just say the hell with it and walk away. You'll end up doing a stint if the kid you banged as a kid has crazy enough parents to go full scorched earth and pursue it and i would hope in such a case your parents would help send their little shit to juvy as well though I bet their parents would be the type to thank yours for it. It doesn't cancel just by virtue of being minors.
In most states below a certain age it actually doesn't cancel out but if two 12 year olds are having sex with one another the prosecutor usually just defers to parental punishment and drops the issue.
t. Lawmoron
Uhhh Romeo and juliet clauses?
>Stop
>Don't touch
>Tell an adult!
Yeah I also saw that episode of Best of the Worst.
Yes. Someone discarded a loaded pistol into our elementary schools paper trash bin. A boy found it and started playing/taking it into the classroom while playfully aiming at other kids.
A police officer came the other week and would give us a lecture on never touching a firearm.
When I was in elementary school we learned you could overflow the urinals if you flushed them fast enough so the janitor had to talk to us.
We just dropped turds in the urinals.
kek, fuck the jannies
We would have competitions to see how far you could stand away from the urinal and still piss in it. We got a talking to as well from the jannies from the 15' streams of piss on the floor extending away from the urinals. The power of a young bladder is formidable and it's only now that you realize just how much that shit has weakened with age.
Holy shit my middle school also had this talk, kek.
>Stop
>Don't touch
>Tell an adult!
This is good advice for a kid who finds a gun
On the other hand, if there's one sure-fire way to get a kid interested in X, it's to tell them "don't do X"
No. I live in Norway, and we had rifle shooting as an elective in middle school.
they started in the 80s at my school. it got so bad we all started laughin in 7th grade at them, since we had BASED MR/ SKINNER the man who lost his fucks in vietnam telling us the truth as he saw it. that man was a HARDLINE Jeffersonian. I had him meet college professors of mine to make them cry. yes hes alive and in costa rica fucking his 4th wife to death.
>I hate that liberals are encouraging children to not play with guns!
You have gone past the point of parody. The real saving grace here is that your retardation is unlikely to propagate as a) you’re an incel that won’t have kids or b) if you manage to have a kid, either you will shoot them or they will shoot themselves.
Libs aren't having kids at all lmao. Hard to when your first instinct is to chop your shit off. You're a joke.
I'll teach my kids to shoot you bub, how about that? I'll even draw my own crying wojak targets for them to practice with.
Cry more groomer
>literal elementary school kinds post on PrepHole
Why am I not surprised
>has the memory of a goldfish
SAD!
because you know here you're in the company of well-adjusted adults (unlike most other boards)
some guy came to my elementary school and we all had to go the auditorium to listen to his bs. he told a scared straight story about a kid playing with a handgun which discharged accidentally killing him and how the skull fragments peppered his friend's face
Not at school. My high school was literally the type of place where a lot of guys had shotguns in their trucks because they were going to trap team practice after school. My step grandpa hates guns though, to the point where he once paid for me to go to an anti-gun rally in DC, but I didn’t even go to the protest and just used it as a vacation to smoke a bunch of weed
Your step grandpa is a pedo
That wasn't really anti gun so much as anti-ND. It sounds like good advice, I think the NRA even had a kids program about this with an eagle mascot
No but live in a sane state where it was never really a PSA that needed to be said. There was a ton of DARE shit. I always collected the folders and binders because I liked the logo but knew the arguments were bullshit
Circa 1964, kindergarten class when Mrs. Dempsey's policeman husband appears during in class recess. Inquiries from the lads about his .38 revolver arise. >Can we hold it? Mr. Dempsey promptly unloads it and offers to let us hold it one a time by his side. Instructs us not to point it at anyone, use the waste basket as an imaginary target. Dry firing, etc. This is what a homogeneous society was, anons.
I've had guys white as driven snow, after their military service ask me to shoot them in the shoulder because "chicks dig scars" and I've had a maroccan guy teach me reloading.
Just because Jamal fucked your sister before you did, doesn't meant white guys can't be dumb as fuck.
Go back to 4chan you white moron. Then again, you are probably american, so you are probably naturally not even white-white, just american white who clings to your identity harder than your sister does to Tyrone's cock. because you found out are like 2.14% Dutch.
The seething in this post screams louder than any word of tongue or pen
>missing the point this hard
projection is literally the only explanation for this behavior
NTA but holy shit take your meds already, you schizofreak
Fuck you asshole
i was born in 93, so I had dare in my school, but I grew up with my dad and grandpa having guns so I found that whole 'dont ever touch guns and call the cops if you think someone might have one in their house' thing to be super retarded. Which made me shortly realize that most of what they said about drugs and alcohol pretty dumb as well. Hell I was more concerned about my parents divorce at the time than worrying about drugs.
Grew up in nj and ny btw
My school taught me gun safety, how to be a better and safer shooter, and responsible gun use and ownership. As they should today. Of course I already knew this stuff, thanks to my dad and grandad, but well we know how few kids actually have any male role models or authority figures in their lives, so they need it even more desperately.
thats the NRA. That's literally fucking eddie eagle. There is zero reason why a kid in elementary school should ever be touching a gun without their parent supervising them
No, although my dad was all about safety which is why I've never had an ND so I don't really see the issue. I played with guns all the time during summer but, following the habits my dad instilled in me, I made sure they were unloaded multiple times then still never pointed them at important shit. There's no harm in telling kids too young to understand that shit to just leave well enough alone. If their parents know better then they can teach them better.
Hell, I'm pretty sure Eddie Eagle said
>don't touch that shit and find an adult
That's just stuff they tell to kids incase they find one in the wild or a bin
Only DARE
>>
>Stop
>Don't touch
>Tell an adult!
This is literally what I taught to my daughter as soon as she could comprehend it. There's nothing antigun about it, it's just smart parenting.
My school district never had anything like this, but I expect it to happen soon with what happened the past few weeks. Numerous bomb threats, and people then found tik toks of kids talking about using the bomb threats to gun down the newly barrelled fish. Funnily enough, more people ended up arrested for having weed in their lockers found by the sniffing dogs than the kids that made the threats/tik toks
>bomb threats
Back in 2011 or 2012 my high school had a bomb threat every day for two weeks because retards realized that if they wrote "Bomb!" on the inside of a bathroom stall that they would evacuate the entire school and we wouldn't have to do any of your classwork for the day, and then the school district just stopped caring and the policy changed to going into lockdown until the bomb squad cleared the building so you'd spend 2-3 hours in the same class
Yeah the first day they hurriedly evacuated everyone, the second day they only evacuated those around the note, and the third day they just went virtual. Now there's cops outside the school every day.
we had two anti drug rallies even though we only had like 12 blacks at that school.
no but they banned yo-yos after columbine
Why tho?
My "antigun" teaching ranged from my own mother saying guns kill to the angels saying guns equalize. Guess which is still alive, protip it isn't my mother
i was going through my old schoolwork and found a letter i wrote in what was probably elementary school asking my senator for more gun control
i did not remember it at all
GATE kid?
no, i'm a retard
