Russians are making technicals out of naval rocket launchers. First it was MTLBs with them, now this guy.

It makes a certain amount of sense. They've got a shitload of old ASW rockets that are no longer really useful for ASW, but i'm guessing it can't be fun to be on the receiving end of those even on dry land.

yeah but a range of 6km and a cep of i dont care wont be much effective other than creating loud booms around a trench system

RBU-6000 has something like a 50lb explosive charge, those are big booms.

It fires depth charges, which are all boom and no shrapnel. Literally an oversized firecracker on land

6km? that sounds suicidally close range.

. 50lb is a lot of explosive, but it’s just explosive. It would be good against people standing out in the open and armored vehicles, but it’s have to basically be a direct hit on any armor and not too much further away from infantry. This also protects the crew from self-fragging.

I've seen these mounted on vehicles before.

Yeah on MTLBs last year. Much fanfare about it, less/no fanfare about them getting knocked out

If Russia has found a way to build trucks for less than 1000$ bucks they'd be top car manufacturer

The truck costs $0 because it's an artifact from the ancient lost empire of the Soviet Union

It's like when you send your hero into a cave early in the game and win a stack of light cav units which are cool for a while but 100 turns later and you've depleted your fancy new units and need to throw some meat into the fray to hold back a doomstack until you can try to build something so you send your early game light cav into it to make it waste a turn fighting it.
