Decided to get a Bond Arms but still on the fence on barrel length. I like my barrels to have more time to push my projectile.
I'm pretty much set on a 45LC/410 bore, but I can't choose between the 4.5 inch Ranger II or the 6 inch Texan. I don't want to have to buy a 6 inch barrel down the line, and I like Texas but I also don't really like the regional theme on the Texan.

seem like fine if pretty niche guns their basic models seem good if you need a compact .410 for snakes or survival but otherwise I wouldn't consider one since you're paying a lot for something not too capable
would be real neat if they made a combination gun with different caliber barrels but they won't, probably because with the one frame they use for everything you can't manually switch the barrel that fires the only way to do that is dry fire it

Everything except the stinger and CA guns are all on the same frame just different finish and grips so you could just buy a different gun and the 6" barrel then swap em out then do whatever with the barrel if you got an unpolished base model it'd be the same total price plus an extra barrel you could sell on or swap out if you got the first in a different caliber

I killed a snake with 9mm rat shot out of a 92FS when I was 14. Never needed to do that again, but the occasion does arrive.

There's literally no reason to kill snakes.

look I love snakes but there's not many uses for .410l besides popping random critters which is the reason the only person I've seen with one of them derringers bought it
it does make em a good choice for a survival kit gun though because while you have less than ideal calibers, maybe someday they'll get their shit together and make one with multiple barrels, .45/.410 is still usable for hunting and defence and a handgun is small enough you could pack it away and use like them old aircrew survival combination guns but in a compact package it's far cheaper and more handy than any other "survival gun" while being cheaper and not having to deal with takedown or assembly though really if I were to pick a gun it'd probably be a .44 cause it's what I got and you can load em with cci ratshot which while even weaker than .410 ought to handle emergency squirrel hunting up closeish wish some company would make a better load though #12 is so small you might be better off just firing .44 hollow points at their head

If you already have guns that fit all of those bills, it does sound like a hell of a lot of fun though.
      Plus I don't have a 45LC yet

45LC has fewer letters and works better in text.

            why not just 45c?

Because a lot of things use just a 'c', too undefined.
              45c is 113f

There's no such thing as .45 long colt.
Cal it .45 UF if you need.

          >called long colt by the army when it was issued
          >called long colt by colt
Stop being a pedantic homosexual, nobody thinks you are knowledgeable when you correct them on LC. Nobody will ever think you are cool.

Because most of what's on the market focuses on muh stoppin powa rather than just being small, which takes away most of the appeal, along with generally being expensive. Bond Arms in particular falls victim to this in the worst way as all of their derringers are built on frames large enough to hold .45 ACP/.45 colt/.410 even if they're chambered in a smaller caliber. There would be a lot more interest if there was more of a focus on .22lr options and more than just clones of the same Remington Model 95 on the market.

Pic related, it's an old Mossberg Brownie 4 shot double action .22lr that was sold during the 1920s.

Because they are useless meme guns?
Enough rifling to frick up your .410 pattern, but not enough to stabilize a .45.
