the UK if you consider them Europe. Some people don't for some reason

Why is every country making their next gen weapons this shit ass color. It’s soulless.
because FDE/ coyote/ whatever shade of tan doesn't stick out as much as black does in any environment. It's also easier to paint over and get the color(s) you're going for

Europe is a continent that got conquered by Nazis, Bongland didnt. Europe is for losers not winners.
They're not planning on any more desert wars unless Israel threatens another 9/11 unless we fight their enemies. These are for blending in with your neighborhood. The slight tinge of brown is just a cover.
Black stands in every environments, and green only works in dense forest. Coyote brown works in the most environments, prairie, desert, forest, tundra, savanna, grasslands. Almost every environment has some brown. Even in winter it will stand out less then darker colors.
This, and also it makes a good base color for camo, it's always easier to spray darker colors over lighter ones. If you end up in a green environment you can just add some green and end up with a pretty effective paint job.
i too fucking hate FDE. making your gun all brown is fucking retarded. you should be either mixing FDE and black, or just issuing them with camo paint from the factory using FDE or black as a base.
personally, i like the idea of OD green coming back. unless we're going to be fighting in sandmoron hives again, it makes no sense to paint everything tan. paint it a true flat *dark* earth and use OD green with it so it looks like mixed foliage or trees from a distance, or even something like OD and a dark grey instead of black.
one of two things can be inferred from the paint choices of small arms: either we're going to be heading back to sandmoron hives in the future, or we don't really care about how small arms are painted and we're just going to leave it alone. or maybe they expect troops to rattlecan their shit in the field, which actually isn't unreasonable iirc.
OD over black isn't supposed to be super crisp or clean, you want it to have blending and shitty definition. that makes it look like shadowed foliage. FDE over black/tan over black fucking sucks, because there's no shadow in the desert unless you're in an urban area. in the middle of nowhere, it's just a bunch of black stripes floating in the air, which is obvious as fuck. paint is not meant to be a one size fits all thing, it's situation, and sometimes i think everyone forgets that.
Because they’re too retarded to understand that of the potential future conflicts (Russia, China/Taiwan, NK, Venezuela, Iran. Only one takes place in a Tan/Brown environment. Hopefully someone unfucks this and switch to green. Oh and (regular) multicam is a shit camouflage but that’s another discussion.
Its a bluegun. Basically has the same weight and proportions of a real gun for training that involves no shooting. Its kind of a niche thing but sometimes they are used for selection processes etc when you dont want to hand randoms a working rifle or just when you do workout but your rifle is locked up somewhere
damn thats crazy
if you photoshopped a FDE/brown gun into this image it would stand out, but if it were actually in the lighting of this image it wouldn't stand out any more than his sling does
coyote blends in better at ground level than OD green. tree bark, dead leaves, mud, dirt. coyote blends in perfect with that, that's why coyotes are that color

ive heard different theories. some guys say once the ghost in the gat forsakes your nation, you get stuck making soulless shit because you can't help it. ive also heard that you're supposed to leave your guns out as empty vessels to re-inhabit, so maybe they want colours that fit with his last known habitat. sorta like snail shells i suppo
then why are there still aesthetic guns being made in america? kel-tec, bond arms, unfortunately springfield armory and s&w, they're all making wack ass guns that look cool and work well. is there some kind of machine spirit sunroom these guns are put in before being shipped out?
they get those mostly by sending unwitting interns into the backrooms. they find them, or they perish. what do you think all drug-driven gun design jokes are about? "that was just a bad trip" "you imagined it" "let it go, it's probably nothing"
i can just imagine someone walking into some stargate ass portal and popping out in a weird basement lookin thing, then finding a then-unnamed P17 or RDB on the ground. >hey boss i found a gun >**okay grab it, but be careful, it's probably trapped** >okay >... >**that's the fourth intern this week**
Tan blends more universally than other colors- especially black. There are many places in the world, including in Europe and North America, where the environment is not so green all the time. Not to mention the blacked out silhouette of a gun is extremely eye catching, and a drab tan is very good at making those lines harder to pick out. Tan and FDE are also quite useful in urban settings, as you can imagine. SIGs tan however is much too bright and flashy, I think it’s actually closer to an orange hue than gray-tan, which is often considered the all around best solid color for camouflage. I think that if traditionalism weren’t a factor more militaries would be open to active camouflage rifles in service, but there lies an issue with uniformity. So for now, expect to see a lot of FDE, gray and tan.
source?
color doesn't matter if the object is uniform and has perfectly straight lines or boxy unnatrual shapes.
faces, especially eyes and teeth are automatically picked up by your monkey brain even in your peripheral vision, has nothing to do with their color. if anything besides shape or silhouette, sheen and luster matter far more
Well just think about how black would stand out pretty much anywhere (even in darkness) compared to a flatter, more natural color? If I put a black plate and a tan plate in different places on the forest floor I bet you the black one would be much easier to see.
All you retards saying they should be green are wrong, 1 month into any conflict in the woods or any green landscape everything will be earth coloured because of the sheer amount of arty landing around.
Picrel, the somme now. How long do you think it stayed green in WW1. Look at any fought over land in Ukraine.
Tl:dr everything turns to mud and shit, brown gun is fine.
That's tan. Coyote brown is a mustard gold color and looks better than that shit. Even FDE (tan-gray) at least blends well in urban environments. The 50 shades of dildo color scheme on guns is the worst tactical trend of our time. Sig takes the cake by blatantly making their guns shiny gold.

I'm sure they will finally switch over to a green or olive drab of some kind just in time for a war in the artic.
Goes better with their multicam uniform

Europeans apparently, keep making tan guns.

Yeah, a couple of them. Are you retarded?

Sweden and Finland isnt, both are going for olive green.
Many places have brown as a naturally occurring color.
same reason why soldiers wear multicam rather than black uniforms you fucking spastic
Because all wars for the last 30 years are fought for Our Greatest Ally.
The next wars ~~**~~ are intended to be urban against the home population.
hummmmmmm I wonder what color we could paint a gun that will go with 3/4 seasons, is found in most biomes, and will repel some heat….?
OD green
sage
black with accented colors in dark green
Grasslands and forests don't exist anymore according to the coyote brown fanboys.
does brown not exist in forests? what is the predominate color of forests in the fall, winter, and spring? Really makes you think
Why did everyone in NATO use camos with a base of green back before they all drank Multicam kool-aid? Because green works good in Europe.
Brown wasn't perfected yet. That's like asking why everyone were using swords before guns took over.
>brown wasn't perfected yet
damn where can i find a brown version 1 clone build? i'm sick of all these brown A3 builds
sage is based, wish more countries/companies made stuff in it. Its just FDE but green
I like it more than black
like who?

I strongly prefer OD as well, but it's much easier to paint OD over FDE and get a good result than FDE over OD or black.
OD over black isn't supposed to be super crisp or clean, you want it to have blending and shitty definition. that makes it look like shadowed foliage. Something you retards seem to forget is that dirt is BROWN not GREEN trees are BROWN not GREEN
This is why brown colors work so well.
Mmm yes tell me more about how everything is brown.
What's with the blue G36?
Its a bluegun. Basically has the same weight and proportions of a real gun for training that involves no shooting. Its kind of a niche thing but sometimes they are used for selection processes etc when you dont want to hand randoms a working rifle or just when you do workout but your rifle is locked up somewhere
The sticks, dirt and trunks in that picture are coyote brown and the lichen is sage.
And yet a shade of green for the gun will work better than any coyote brown.
Look at the color some of the early XM8 prototypes had, that is what they should go with.
damn thats crazy

Y-You're shit ass colored!
I like it. I like it when it is a little more reddish, but all good.
Honestly if anything the plastic look is more offensive than the color.
>brown weapons
>for brown hands
Makes sense.
Green anons need to understand that after black, green is the most heat absorbing colour. It is why plants are green.
Tan blends more universally than other colors- especially black. There are many places in the world, including in Europe and North America, where the environment is not so green all the time. Cont.
Look at all that green bros
Yet the bits of green/olive still blend into the environment better than tan. Sad.
Funny how a black rifle doesn’t stand out as much in this environment.
The notion that black rifles are horribly visible and will give away an otherwise hidden soldier is just a retard meme.
>Coyote Brown
🙁
>Dunkelgelb
:O
Tan looks better on tanks. Black on guns.
It blends in better than solid black, retard.
They should just ship the guns with a basecoat and cans of NIR-compliant spraypaint. There, now the unit using them can blend in.
everything outside of factory should be grayish-silver anyone who dares say otherwise enjoys being penetrated by roadkiled animals
That's tan. Coyote brown is a mustard gold color and looks better than that shit. Even FDE (tan-gray) at least blends well in urban environments. The 50 shades of dildo color scheme on guns is the worst tactical trend of our time. Sig takes the cake by blatantly making their guns shiny gold.
Iran. the garden gnomes next
Blends into most environments, better at keeping heat off it than black. Those are the only reasons I can think of.
>Why is every country making their next gen weapons this shit ass color

You may not like it but this is what peak rifle color looks like
