        >Cushing had a variety of interests outside acting, including collecting and battling model soldiers, of which he owned over five thousand. He hand-painted many and used the Little Wars rule set by H. G. Wells for miniature wargaming. He also loved games and practical jokes, and enjoyed drawing and painting watercolours, the latter of which he did especially often in his later years.

He would have been a /tg/ and /k/ regular.

Cushing loved his wife very dearly and outlived her by over 20 years (she was already dead by the time the original Star Wars was filmed). He was so crushed by her death that he basically considered his life to have ended with her and he was "killing time" (his words) until they would be reunited upon his death. He also supposedly tried to kill himself out of despair by running up and down his stairs to try and induce a heart attack.

Imagine trying to follow your wife, but being to scared to have a nice day the average way. Running stairs all day and in the end getting PrepHole and outlive her for 20 years. I'm glad he did that, I enjoyed him playing his role.

Aging cardiac tissue is prone to arrhythmias and he was probably trying to induce ventricular tachycardia or R-on-T phenomenon

Yes, if they had launched more than a few TIE fighters... the Death Star had thousands.

It was a hit that only a space wizard with physic defying powers could make.
There were plenty of ties fighting against the only Rebel base that threw every fighter it had at it.

Launch a star destroyer and have it level the trench with turbolaser fire, thus denying entry to the exhaust port
