If this were Russia they would've just shot all the protestors, sparking an international incident and discrediting the armed forces.
Like wtf did you want them to do? I get kneeling is embarrassing too, and I hate Black folk, but still. They are there to serve the people, it's what they were told all the way until enlistment, through training, and into their service. If there's anyone you should be mad at its the guardsmen that served as Pelosi's goons.

          >you can't use an abrams tank to run over civilians in a house, that would spark an international incident and discredit the armed forces
          >you can't shoot unarmed veterans protesting
for X reasons, that would spark an international incident and discredit the armed forces
lmao, we really showed such restraint before

This, NorCal and The Central Valley would cut off the water supply to the Bay and SoCal and end the war before it even started

I think everyone not in Sacramento, the Bay Area, or LA County would immediately secede and form Neo-California.

The lack of water is a distinct vulnerability. Assuming some kind of Fallout like post-apocalypse scenario, a Californian government would probably take over the whole Colorado river to secure itself

Maybe even the Hoover Dam to secure power utility.

What do you think the odds are Oregon and Washington join California's side by default? That would give them more of a leg up

A lot of bases in California were BRAC’d during the end of the Cold War. Don’t let the numbers of installations fool you, what matters is what they keep on them. It’s the same story in New England, there’s a lot of installations but they don’t have any real major presence on them anymore.

No, because every redneck in the state would leap at the opportunity to monkeywrench every bit of infrastructure in every flatlander shithole hive. Have fun importing 100% of your water, food, and power through enemy held territory.

They apparently can't combat homeless people shitting on the sidewalks, so I'd say their ability to enforce political will is pretty low.
