That's never been too much of a hinderance to war. the book the great illusion predicted that war would be too devastating economically to all parties due to economic integration. It was published in 1909.

The US did do some amount of trading with the USSR especially when there were international slumps in certain things such as grain. As much as the US wanted to defeat the USSR they didn't want a nuclear superpower to collapse or a disgruntled general to go full nuclear warlord.

So I have some questions if any of you are Chinese.
      >When Grorious Revorution 2.4 drops, which side do spam farmers fall on, i.e. are you part of the gets eaten or eater class?
      >Do they hand out sticks and send you to fight on the borders when you lose usefulness in your current capacity or do you attempt to troll to the bitter end?
      >Has your boss been replaced by AI yet, and now you have have to figure out how to suck off a robot to prevent budget sky net from walking you into the sea towards Taiwan aka the OG China?
So many questions, so little time.
      >4U.
BTW, the suicide nets probably can’t hold all of you if you go at once.

      >Russia is involved in a forever-war that only ends when Putin is dead
      >Iran and North Korea will autistically screech about how the next "red line" crossed will mean destruction of their enemies...but all they will do is keep killing their own people
      >China isn't going to make a violent move because the instant war begins, their economy ceases to exist in terms of going across oceans, and their military buildup is halted as their production facilities and yards become targets

      >All while the US and its allies continue to bolster defenses and develop counter to specific threats
      I'm not too worried.

      >Chinks overstep bounds, takes over regional nobodies in Africa for unpaid infrastructure debts and gemeralds
      >NATO funded rebels kill Chink funded forces
      >Chinks Sneed, cope, dilate
      >Starts aggressive internal campaigns to drive NATO hate and promote nationalist fervor
      >makes deals with other NATO hating countries like Norks to stoke tensions and provoke NATO action
      >US vastly overestimates true threat Chinks pose, believing them to possess technology and capabilities they do not, or to make moves they cannot realistically make
      >In a blind autistic anti-commie panic, US develops highly advanced and totally unnecessary technologies to counter the perceived threat
      >eventually the cardboard cutout of China's image falls over, revealing the internal rot and incompetence
      >CCP collapses without anything of significance occurring
      >US uses aforementioned technologies to further bolster its global position of being 100 years ahead of the rest of the world
      >Eventually US gives said tech to Israel, whom promptly sells it to Russia and China
      >wash, rinse, repeat

And so all was right in the world, knowing that World War 3 is impossible because the US fools itself into sheer and utter dominance by overestimating our rivals and preparing our forces to fight a war against an enemy that never existed. Then they still get drawn into unwinnable asymmetrical conflicts with illiterate thirdies whom believe death gives them 72 goats to sex. Middle East eventually occupied as new settlers of Greater Israel move in.

      >US weapons and military equipment are 60%+ parts imported from China.
      >US factory and shipyards are 80%+ made up of equipment imported from China.
      >90%+ of all US pharmaceutical and medical consumable are imported from China

USA stand no chance in Cold War 2.0.
Americans are just too ignorant and delusional to know better

They wouldn't, because the US isn't going to idly give up its status and prosperity, and any threat to them is an act of war. If daddy ain't happy, nobody happy. Who could seriously believe the US would die quietly? The greatest empire in history calmly rolls over so someone else can take its place? We'd sooner nuke the world than accept one in which we're not at the front. Much of the world's stability is dependent upon US dominance, and would likely crumble in its decline. Shipping lanes would be contested and pirated, security for most nations would be at risk, despots and warmongers would redraw borders and oust governments; not only would we act for our own national interests in securing our dominance, but anyone that doesn't like speaking Chinese or being sent to war relies on that dominance. If you're expecting the US to falter and some pretender to take its throne, good luck, but the species lives and dies with US-led Western dominance. China and Russia can puff their chest, make empty threats, but we don't even have to go to war to destroy them. We're currently digging through our national couch for pocket change that's grinding Russia into the ground. They're heavily depleted on any equipment that could be considered semi-modern, and we've sent our old mothballed hand-me-downs.

It should have said: US devotes large parts of its budget to unsustainable levels of military procurement instead of investing in critical social and public institutions, depletes its reserves of social trust, and then succumbs over an extended period of time to unmitigated internal issues, ultimately culmination in an acute economic and political crisis that breaks the system completely.

What part of Military Industrial Complex do you not understand? We've been doing this shit since the 40s. It's a large part of what made us powerful. Anyone that could possibly pose a threat would run out of equipment and raw resources well before we lose steam. Then, once we've thoroughly embarrassed them, we vassalize them, put bases in their territory, and sell all that shit we made off to them once we're done playing with it. There is no "running out" or "too much". The only problems stem from not having anyone to use it on, in which case, no problem, we'll make on ourselves like we've done before.

That's their problem, and it's not out of humanitarian concern, or respect of other's sovereignty. They can't go to war, they can't project power, and the only ones whom they have influence over are African shitholes and nearby minor nations. If they actually tried to form a semblance of parity with the US it would bankrupt itself, not even accounting for all the nations at the US' back. Meanwhile the US can start wars for no reason, or under falsified pretenses, and get away with it.

You won’t do shit. Muttmerica will just slowly fade into irrelevancy until it collapses under its own retardation.

So, too, would follow the world. There's no scenario in which the US collapses that doesn't entail global upheaval and the threat of extinction. This is what I mean when I say unsustainable. You know all that neat kit the DoD has been buying from the MIC? Well America has been buying it with debt, lots and lots of debt. The amount of money that America is spending just to service the debt is larger than the amount it is spending on defense. For reference the defense budget for 2023 is 773 billion, with the projected budget for 2024 being 824 billion. Why is this a problem? After all "There is no "running out" or "too much"", right? Wrong. This is the hard limit. America losing the power to print money to finance its MIC because it loses it ability to service the debt that backs that money is the wrench in the gears of American power. This is analogous to what happened to the soviet union where a decade in Afghanistan and its unwillingness to give up its commitments to places like Cuba and it's inability to counter things like the SDI led to Gorbachev begging the Chinese (who were quite poor and backwards at the time) for money in the dying days of the soviet union as its liabilities outstripped its assets. Now America is looking down the barrel of a similar outcome with commitments (liabilities) like Ukraine and Israel and Taiwan making up the backbone of us foreign policy while not having enough assets to pay for these outright, hence the debt. America doesn't have to collapse, but if it does it is because it chose to.

The US debt-GDP ratio is only 120%. If it likes, it can commit to reducing debt by reducing Govt expenditures. US can do this IF it wants to because unlike most other Govts, it has a robust enough economy that Govt spending doesn't influence the economy as much.

                >no dominant currency has come up to take its place.
Gold will obviously. In an age of many rising competitive empires there's no reason why anyone won't just start trading in their own currency. At least China, India and Russia will do so, the rest will just follow

                >Gold will obviously
Then it's a good thing that the US not only has plenty of gold, its main competitor (China) has quite little relative to its economy

                >lots and lots of debt

Completely irrelevant when the debtor is the basis of stability for the lender, which is true for absolutely everyone desiring a modern economy and relative peace. We have infinite money cheats and everyone else is jealous. Anyone that seriously considers debt to be a problem for the US understands neither economics nor the realities of global power. Any hypothetical collapse, again, leads to mass global instability, and wars that would threaten the species. We won't be quietly broken like the Soviets. We would reach our long straw over and such the rest of the world's milkshake until the sea ran dry and the sky turned black before we would allow that. You're right, it would be a choice, and we would choose domination over subjugation in any contingency.

The Debt isn't a debt, it's a tax that the rest of the world pays the US.

The rest of the world buys US debt to sustain it so the global economy can continue.

You are incorrect anon, the largest US export sector is services, followed by various high-tech manufacturing sectors. Most consumer goods are in that little green rectangle at the bottom right.

The US military industrial complex is indeed extraordinarily well-developed, and you're a fool if you believe otherwise. Very little of our defense spending leaves our borders.

It should have said: US devotes large parts of its budget to unsustainable levels of military procurement instead of investing in critical social and public institutions, depletes its reserves of social trust, and then succumbs over an extended period of time to unmitigated internal issues, ultimately culmination in an acute economic and political crisis that breaks the system completely.

cultural insecurity. China was literally the center of the earth (literally call "middle kingdom) until a forgein barbarian completely wrecked them so hard it almost 2 centuries to get back on theri feet, India has basically only recently been. astate when before they were a part of a foreign kingdom, and Russia has thought itself for the past few hundred years to be the rulers of Rome only for in the span of 20 years lose it all because their subjects racially hate Russians and prefer their western enemies. All three hate the west in some respect, all three see themselves as the superior race to the rest of the world, and all three have not experienced the necessary ego death that japan got when Perry came in.
