Choose Brazil's next fun

The Brazilian Army, through its Logistics Command (COLOG), has revealed the contenders for its Wheeled Self-Propelled Artillery Vehicle (WSPA) project. This announcement highlights the candidates that meet the detailed criteria specified in the project's tender. The models still in contention include China's SH15, Israel's ATMOS, France's CAESAR, and the Czech Zuzana 2.

The technical specifications required for future WSPAs include a 155 mm NATO-standard howitzer as the primary armament, capable of firing both standard and specialized ammunition. The artillery piece must have a minimum barrel length of 52 calibers and a service life of less than 2000 shots at maximum charge, with a firing range exceeding 500 kilometers. The system must enable precision strikes with a deviation of less than 80 meters for standard munitions and less than 120 meters for assisted projectiles at distances of 20 kilometers and 30 kilometers respectively. These vehicles must also be capable of storing and transporting at least 16 full charges.

The WSPA must be ready to aim and fire within three minutes of positioning and leave its position in less than two minutes after firing. The inclusion of a semi-automatic loading mechanism and the ability to maintain a firing rate of at least four shots per minute are also required.

Will bet on CESAR, just because they ramped production enough to lower the price

Brazilians hate the French for transferring them technology to build nuclear submarines and refusing to cede Guyane, pushing for a Brazilian permanent seat at the UN security council, and for refusing the supremacy of Russia over Europe like the BRICS do.
The Huehuehue hates the Honhonhon for being a good friend.

        >BR hates France

The only people who hates France are the Bolsoboomers because Macron once said some moronic shit about the Amazon and they think France is gonna invade or some shit.

Besides Sweden, France is our largest partner in military projects. Not just with Submarines, but also with Cruise Missiles and Radar technology.

Lula is relatively shill about France too, contrary to Bolsonaro. Now pragmatisme will ultimately rule over but it's good to remember that he was shilling for the Rafale before being ousted.

Then there's the chinks that spat the SH-15 by the buttloads.

Eh not really. the factory struggled to fill the orders from Pakistan, Burma and other african countries (afaik from nigeria and ethiopia) on top of domestic order. They had close to 1000+ pieces on backlog rn

If Brazil chose SH15 then expect to wait for a long time unlike with Caesar as the french artillery regiments are more less equipped with Caesar and nexter can focus its production line for export

CAESAR will be the cheapest because they're building dozens of them monthly with half of them being sent to Ukraine while the other half will go to the French Army.

Israel being at war means they can't mass produce export equipment, the israelite homies don't even use the ATMOS.

doubt it would be cheaper than the chang mobile

that being said, it is a proven system. I'm all for the Zuzana cause it looks like a frog

There's no way in hell we'll see Zuzana being chosen simply due to the fact that i couldn't be transported bh C390

Same goes to Caesar 8*8. Caesar 6*6 is an alternative but with 6*6 they'll lose the semi automated landing mechanism.

Which leaves us with SH15 and atmos. both china and israel tend to offer somewhat generous ToT, industrial partnership and other type of greases to move the procurement along. In fact SH15 would have somehwat an advantage due to its gun design being derived from late Dr Gerard Bull design (something Brazil has experience in) but I'd imagine the US would try their damnest to dissuade brazil from buying china made equipment

      SH-15 is decent enough.
What i'm really worried is them wanting to buy pajeet AA systems. (mainly due to C-390 deal)
I hope to god that never comes to fruition.

If I was the United States, I would actually want Brazil to choose the SH15, just so we can come in and confiscate them as the Chinks try to transport those systems into Brazil.

What are they going to do? Stop us with their shiity untested navy?

I personally would suggest the ISU-152

    >Ready to aim and fire within three minutes of positioning
The ISU-152 could easily do that in less than 30 seconds
    >And leave its position in less than two minutes after firing
The ISU-152 can leave immediately after firing, or you could just stay as anything other than a direct hit won't do anything
    >Ability to maintain a firing rate of at least fourt shots per minute
Depending on how much the crew love dear leader you can expect a fire rate of 3-5 shots per minute
The Zuzana is a Slovakian development of the, not Czech. The Czech equivalent would be the DITA or DANA, pic related. Objectively the best option.
