I understadn they need to announce these donations so as to inspire further donations, but in a way, it's a pity that's so necessary as it gives Russia time to prepare themselves. Imagine if all these donations, and more, were still possible without announcing them, then suddenly one day, BAM, they're let loose in Ukraine during a gigantic offensive in May; the first the orcs have heard about any of it. Completely off-guard.

Do you remember how the HIMARS deliveries started?

      >mr monkey we will send just 4 of them. Don't tell me the 4 trucks gonna make you lose.
      >sending 8 HIMARS are not escalation, your media told me you already use MLRS analogs which are so better
      >the next supply package will contain only 10 HIMARS and a couple of MLRS. Not a big deal when there are already 20 of them operating, huh?
      >we will supply 500 ATACMS rockets for our MLRS to be able to shoot. What do you mean they may be used in HIMARS too?
      >why leave kherson btw?

No HIMARS have been destroyed but they've been kinda cucked by Russia moving everything valuable outside of it's range.

You mean Russia has been cucked by having to move its supply lines out of range of 18 American rocket artillery systems, the best in the world.

Well yeah, I guess the mere threat of HIMARS kinda makes them useful, but no big booms unless vatniks do something dumb again.

I for one am excited about the whole thing. We’re going to see probing attacks, decentralized across the whole line. Murmurs on vatnik media of seeing a few brads here, a chally there. Slowly, then all at once, an armored hammer of a thousand armored vehicles will punch through the lines and advance 20km, deep into a backfield softer than a mobiks recently tenderized buttocks. The next day - a logarithmic gain as the fuelers catch up and the hammer spreads outward from its point of breakthrough.

Personally I think we’ll see an entire front collapse, probably in the north (least expected) as this will be easier, more demoralizing, and keep the russians fixed in Crimea for finishing by artillery. I would imagine we’ll see a heavy feint, or illusions of a faint, that will attempt to get the russians to position forces down south. Just a shame we have to wait a few months for it!

And on this episode of "Lying about Russia", "Russia has no intel on what they're fighting except what NATO posts on Twitter"

You're forgetting the 50 CV90s, the 40 Marders, and the...whatever number of AMX 10 RCs.

Still waiting on GLSDB and Leopard 2s though. Especially GLSDB, those should have an outsized strategic impact just as HIMARS did when they first arrived.

      Anonymous

Probably easier to shoot down though.
I honestly think one of the subtle reasons that the US does not provide ATACM is because they are basically what the S-400 was designed to defend against, and they are much more expensive than GMLRS.

Like if it takes 10 ATACM to penetrate Russian AD and destroy a strategic target (IE rail bridge) then that's 20 million dollars right there.

      1 Wagner Corps(30k+ troops), 1 Airborne Division(12-24k troops), 1 motorized brigade(2-8k troops), 1 motorized regiment(900-2000 troops) vs 12 brigades(24k-96k troops)
So, to reiterate, 55k+ Russians vs about the same Ukrainians.
Also, cope and seethe while using NATO symbols to illustrate your operational failures.

Honestly it seems like too little too late. Russia is moving forward everywhere right now, multiple villages falling every day. And once they get the territories they want, they'll be digging in and there's no way of getting rid of them anymore, especially with no air power.
We should have given them tanks back in the autumn, it will take multiple months of training before they can even use them.

They need tanks, that's what can reverse the tide. But when Germany is even willing to give them a few Leopards as a token gesture , let alone the hundreds that they need, you know they don't have the willingness to do what's necessary for Ukraine to win.

Not a single military in the world would be able to handle that kind of a zoo full of small quantities of different equipment from dozens of countries and different time periods. Just because there's a long list of weapons doesn't mean they can be used and maintained affectively together at the same time by a very constrained military that has to learn all that stuff on the go. It's madness. 10 fricking Challengers?? And what the frick are Ukrainians supposed to do with them? Send 5 to Soledar and 5 to Bakhmut?
To me it all looks more like a political PR campaign rather than a well-thought military aid effort.

      Anonymous

The thing is that the conflict is stalemated and even small numbers of modern equipment make a massive difference.

Obviously it would be better to have like a hundred Abrams and just desert storm that shit, but a slow trickle is better than nothing.

        Anonymous

        >and even small numbers of modern equipment make a massive difference.

It doesn't. Those 10 Challengers ain't shit in such a high-intensity war. Each side can easily lose twice as that on a bad day. The only two things that would make difference are longer-range missiles (ATACMS or something else) and fighter jets. Everything else should be supplied in adequate quantities, otherwise it's fricking nothing and it just prolongs the war.

14 Challengers, 12 is a platoon, with 2 probably left in reserve. Just add them to a pre-existing battalion of slavshit tanks until more Western tanks are donated. It's better than nothing and if they perform welll it's likely more will be sent.

        >It's better than nothing
        Exactly. Nothing more than that.
