No ody is using a dirty bomb. The fricking nerds can backtrack where nuclear material was mined from. So unless you can steal someone else's radiologic debris you will wasting your time.

you realize that nuclear power plants have fuel rods in storage untill it is not as hot to move to longterm storage.

wait if nuclear rods stay warm for a long time why not use them for heating? europe doesnt have enough gas rn so wouldnt that help

you can but most people don't like the idea of radiocative water going through their house from public heating. mostly from heavy water.

          >where is this dirty bomb in Ukraine?
In the Ruskie's own stash. They'll "accidentally" pollute half of their own gays and then try to put the blame on Kiev, trying to win enough brownie points to drop a rage-quit nuke.

In some cases they do, indirectly through reactor secondary cooling loop and storage pools using heat exchangers to district heating in the local area.

You do know heat exchangers exist right?

yeah I know but morons think its coolant water so it must be radioactive.

              Hey, don't i know it.
I once knew a Korean family that refused to have their electric radiators on when in the same room.
              Because of the "radiation".

lol that was thinking from the bad old days. they said not to use electric heaters over night because they caused alot of building fires. I can never get my mother to use a electric heater.

And that they used to use kerosene heaters which would absolutely murder you if you left it running at night. Old guy I know saved his superior officer's wife and him after he went visiting for some free chow to bum off them. He smelled the half burned fuel that meant it wasn't running right, broke open a window and then opened the rest to air the place out while he called the ambulance and shook both of them which probably didn't do anything but they were breathing so they survived. Apprently the thing that got him the most was he never got his free meal but the guy's mom gave him a bunch of vegetables and rice cakes for saving her son so he called that a win.

And that means what? If any of it had been stolen the host govt would be aware of that.

all the Ukrainian owned nuclear fuel elements were mined and manufactured in the Russia because Ukraine lacks the capabilities of mining, enriching and manufacturing.

Dirty bombs are useless in a war. I mean, they're a great buzzword for vatniks.

Are you sure they aren't a potentially fantastic area denial weapon?

they aren't good at that either given the nature of the particles they give off being pretty easily defeated by basic decon procedures and would just make a no man's land that would be easily rolled over because it's not good to stick around. It's literally useless outside of a terrorist attack in a major city and even that is more because it would make it disruptive for people living and working there.

he wanted to use nukes that happened to be filthy, not a dirty bomb which is pretty much a dry fart compared to an explosive diarrhea flood and also fundamentally misunderstood how fricked the entire continent would be with such a scheme because of the amount of dust and particles that would be kicked up and swirl in a deadly haze before settling on everything. at most we're talking about an area of like 20km contaminated max and even then not that heavily at the edges.

He specifically wanted to use fallout as an are denial weapon, that's what I'm talking about. The scale of the weapons is irrelevant to the practicality of the concept

lol, all the Russians do is lie, it's about the only thing they're capable of, that and atrocities.
There is no dirty bomb, just dirty Russian lying.
