If so, there is nothing to worry about. Russians have few ATGM operators left and fewer drones.
Just move forward tanking 125mm rounds and firing back blowing up turrets aka Tiger 2

No it wouldnt the newest russian SABOT round have 700mm RHA pentration @ 2km. It would go striaght through considering L2A4 only has 500mm to 600mm RHA max frontally
Depends on the version and the ammo being used against them
Both will easily stop 3BM42 Mango and other older projectiles that have been seen in common use in Ukraine, both in the hull and turret front.
The turret front of the Leopard 2A6 is basically impenetrable to all but the very latest Russian APFSDS at that range. idk about Abrams export armor, but I'd assume it's fairly similar to other western MBTs. The M1A2 with DU armor, which they are not getting, is in the same boat as the 2A6.
The Leopard 2A4 obviously would be more vulnerable to a wider variety of projectiles at longer distances.
The latest Russian APFSDS has greater penetration than 700mm at that range, and the Leopard 2A4 turret face has greater than 600mm maximum kinetic protection.
1)russian claims mean fucking nothing since their true 5th gen stealth foghter has the rcs of a us bomber from 60s.
2)even if it can pen 700mm, russians test theirs on pot metal not rha.
3)even if it can pen 700mm rha, it needs to be produced first
4) even if it is produced it needs to go to the crew
5)even if it gets to the crew, they need to be properly trained to use it first
6) even if a tank that shares a postcode with its turret in ukraine has a properly trained crew, is properly supplied with the ammo and knows how to use it, they still need to be the ones to first find, identify, cycle to correct ammo by firing the HE in the barrel, wait for the dust clouds to settle so they can see and then somehow hit a tank.
All considering western tanks have thermals and nvgs for almost everyone, have one more pair of eyes in the tank, have acrual usable periscopes for the crew, have superior fcs and have the entire might of the.west behind them calling out every target south of the border.
Russians can have mythical ammo that can pen 9km worth of rha, its not going to turn any tides.
Anon, I sincerely hope that you will be in a Leo2 turret when it catches a T-72 SABOT. For scientific reasons.
kek so do i, but i doubt his fat ass can fit into a tank
Entire point is to not catch the sabot since western tanks have realized that you want to engange enemies before they see you. And they do that by having actual modern fire control and optics that have functionality to them.
Sure in theory i'll be turned to pulp but you and everyone else is lying through their soviet healthcare teeth if they say they wouldn't rather be in a fucking leo2 facing anything the russians have in their arsenal.
Why else would western tanks cause such buttblasts and posts such as yours, if they weren't eclipsing russhit
>their true 5th gen stealth foghter has the rcs of a us bomber from 60s
Based retard
this has to be bait, theres no way some can be this retarded / cope this much
why are you so mad about the fact that ammunition does not magically teleport itself to the breech of the gun?
Do you think russia fucks up logistics of every single thing EXCEPT for your super special-guranteed-to-make-HATO-tanks-worthless-be-demoralized rounds?
Do you think all russian t64's drive around with the latest anti tank ammo that allegedly can pen "any western tank just announced to be sent to ukraine", when crews themselves have admitted to be constantly underequipped and undercrewed?
Do you think they just keep it constantly in the breech with their autoloader system that does not allow unloading of munitions in case they run into a tank they have no chance of spotting first since russian thermals and vision for crew is complete and utter dogshit?
Do you think with current state of training they can make sense of their excel sheet of a gunner sight in the heat of the combat if they do manage to somehow realize they've been hit by a tank, and that tank is a western tank and not a soviet tank, an ifv, an apc, a mine, an rpg, a javelin or many more things?
do you realize real life is more than fucking war thunder no matter how much your state sponsors the game?
su57 has released RCS and it is same as b1-b.
yes, su are retarded, I agree.
Front aspect RCS to probably X-band

Yeah, not what you want your "better than anything amerika can make, xaxaxaxa" ultra 5th gen stealth fighter to have.
>why are you so mad
>2 paragraphs of sneeding and nato buzzwords / talking points
you know you can manually unload the gun right
>ignoring the entire point about ammo being rare and ineffective since crews have poor training and poor FCS and optics
At least they can manually unload a gun in theory.
The west shall shake with fear.
Svinets makes headlines when it’s simply seen on factory floors or mentioned. Considering what ammo the captured tanks have been carrying, svinets is an extremely rare round.
>b-b-but the pants are coming off
They were never on.
>pants were kept on for the eventual arrival of HATO tanks
The war was never supposed to last that long. Either way, russians still have more modern tanks and sides work.
>Russia has X that is capable of Y posting is still alive
No they don't have a X and if they do it's in small numbers that will make it irrelevant. It's completely irrelevant how many Russia claims they have. No it isn't capable of Y, not even close. It's completely irrelevant what Russia claims it can do.
>trusting what the russians said
You should divide what they say by 2 and maybe you get an accurate measure of their true capabilities.
this. West tests their ammo on RHA. Which is a more true measure.
Russia tests their penetration on mild steel.
War thunder says it can as long as they take it to their turret armor.
If it hits turret ring, mantlet, hull armor, they die
Aren't non soviet mantlets notoriously underprotected in War Thunder? They say there is literally a hollow block of metal in Type 10's mantlet.
asumign they are firing mango yes
What everyone else said.
Turret cheeks of Abrams, Leo2a5+, and Challenger 2 are all proof to even the newest rounds.
Hull armor, maybe the Abrams. Everything else even Mango rounds would go through.

They'll speak paragraphs and pages with zero facts or substance and people will nod along like yeah he must be right look at all the words he used.

Retards like this one will get hit hardest when Russia pulls out of Ukraine completely, straight into a civil war.
The leo2a4 is the worst of the bunch. 3bm42 might go through the front, 3bm60 almost certainly will. leo2a5 and newer the turret is likely immune frontally but it has a weak hull. Later M1 and challenger 2 likely have strong turret armor but the mantlet is questionable. The challenger 2 mantlet is larger than average and thought to only have about 200mm of steel.
The more modern ones are frontally immune against any Russian gun at that range, the turret is immune even at point blank, not sure about the older ones.
Though there are reasons why poorer nations prefer to send the older ones and I assume armor protection is among them.
>from 2km away
The L44 clocks in at 4km while the L55 does so at 5km max range. With the non-shitty optics there is virtually no reason to face soviet armor from that close.
>The whole world is a treeless desert
Imbecile
everyone thinks max range is ever used
most tank battles will be at 2km range or shorter esp at night unless ambush
would you use your AR constantly at 300m only? lol
Would a T55 shot point blank at the hull of a western MBT do anything?
Made the crew suddenly quite angry
But not dead right
aim for the turret ring if anything
A Challenger got shot point blank by a T55 or Chinese version in Iraq on its lower glacis it had era so it just laughed it off.
I saw an image of an Abrams turret ring penned but not sure if it was as bad as it looked. Also aiming for a specific point when there's a tank point blank would take some serious balls.
M1A1s and M1A2s have ate large diameter HEAT projectiles to the front turret arrays and had the crews walk away. iirc no Abrams has been lost to a sabot pen
Monkey model abrams have been destroyed by old Fagots in Yemen, i suspect the same will happen in Ukraine since they'll export without DU, Leo 2A4 won't survive either.
Turret front yes rest is lottery.
doubt the germ shit can, the Abrams defo
Challenger 2 can, a couple of times.
It's funny the Russian tankers make videos talking about the weak spots they are going to hit on the Leopard in detail about ammo racks and crew positions, the Abrams they say it can be killed easily between the turret the Challenger is mentioned but no exploits are spoke about.
bro what?
what is that warthunder tutorial you just posted whys the text all fucked up kek
Oh yeh
I don't know anything I'm not a tanker just saying what they said in the video I'll find it and post it.
I 100% agree though HMS Hood tier shots are Chinese propaganda level bullshit that is just pot luck. I imagine it would be 1. Spot target 2. Bring sight to target centre mass without having panic attack 3. Fire 4. Repeat.
because its a Yandex translation from RU telegrams on CR2 weakspots when the guy I responded to said Russians hadn't made one for it
I'm that guy. I said specifically the guy in the video mentioned every tanks weakspot but the Challengers you autist.
Leo2A4 tankie her..
Most important thing is: see first, shoot first.
Either you see it or the commander assigns you the target. You keep it in the middle of the crosshair, laze it, shoot it.
Aim for weak spot? Yeah at 500 meters maybe. But at 500 meters everything is a weak spot. At 2k nope. And at 4k it's iffy anyway.
That video is pure russian cope.
You cant even see parts of the tank clearly with Russian thermals at 2k. You're just aiming at the center of the target and shooting lol
.Higgason
>Russian Thermals at 2km
They're French and they are pretty good tbh the rare Russian made ones though I doubt they would be any good at 1k.
That video is decent it's only Gen 2 I think do any Abrams have Gen3?
>They're French
I'm explicitly talking about Russian thermals not the French limited productions they probably all lost in 2022.
>That video is decent it's only Gen 2 I think do any Abrams have Gen3?
Sepv4 gets 3rd gen on its CITV and gunner sight
ngl the crispness even under shock force is nice
That is very disturbing to watch.
A lot of chattering and the loader.. why is he behind the gun with his head now and then? In the leo it's more apart, behind the gun..
But the worst, why is the fucking gun moving when the loader has his fingers on the mg or gun. THE FUCK.
With the Leo2 you press a button as loader to block the gun in load position so you can work the MG w/o the MG lid accidentally cutting of your fingers.
Holy...
Its training and i think the Co-ax jammed or didn't feed hence the long wait to go after the infantry target.
same tank same crew recently CBRN edition
Jesus christ ayybraaap tanks are loud
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/aszTGksRZG8
Interestingly because of how high pitched the turbine is the sound doesn't carry nearly as far as a diesel engine, so it's actually a lot quieter than you'd think once you get a couple hundred feet away.
I see. Interesting.
Ok, first that handle on the gun...
On the Leo the gun breech opens automatically after firing (unless blocked for ABC war). To open it manually you have to fetch an extra handle. Kinda akward. That's why switching rounds is slow on the Leo. You better shoot whatever is in there.
Loading: You open hatch to ammo storage, grip a round with your right hand, pull it, put left arm underneath it, rotate your body, maybe close ammo hatch with elbow, put round in gun and push in with right fist (to keep fingers when breech closes), then you press the ammo selection button and you are done as loader. This loader's hands are moving around
Or you use your left hand instead of elbow, but it's still kinda more fluid, helps that the gun really tilts up after shooting so the breech is low.
That's from an Ukrainian T-64 modernization. Russia seems to do fucked installs of the same Catherine thermals and skimps out on shit like signal wire shielding or something leading to degraded images.
>They're French and they are pretty good tbh
yes the very few that are no longer around as they use russian made optics for 2022-2023 refits as all the french ones are gone thanks to corruption, and what elite tanks guard had them have been
COMPLETELY
WIPED
OUT
They are still around don't be retarded
Yes they are.But just like a decent human being who happens to be a Russian, there's not enough around to make a difference.
So like I said they are still around.
I wish we could cut all the hysteria crap that comes from retards like you two, if you had any actual interest in this conflict you would see the T80bvm videos regularly posted.

>retards like you two
Just cause a few french thermals haven't been captured or sold yet doesn't mean they should be a serious consideration.
Considering how their greatest and most elite equipment is all fucking gone in opening year of the war and they're down to retrofitting mothballed t64's, it's safe to say that even if they had them in abundance, it would not make a difference.
You can not ignore the reality.
Yeah with a real FCS the optics is completely independent of the gun. The gunner just needs to keep the target center, and using the laser to get the distance.
The FCS now knows
- your speed
- the angle of your tank to Z axis
- the speed of your turrent rotation
- distance
- wind
- type of ammo
- temperature of ammuntion
Using this and adjusting things in realtime it knows how fast the target is moving and moves the turret and gun in 3D space to compute a projectile trajectory that will land it where the target will be considering the speed of the the projectile at V0 and wind.
You don't move the target off center because this would give a false reading for target movement speed. And you want to laser with the target in the middle because laser aims there.
Maybe with ghetto soviet / russian FCS it can only do half the shit so you can move the reticle around, but I guess they don't hit that well when everything is moving.
How DARE you go against the teachings of war thunder and autists everywhere
>Specifically Russian optics
Yeh they're shit did you see the Kamov gun camera videos lol
>The Gen3
Really smart bits of kit, the Challengers that got the tisp upgrade got gen3 catherine mp.
>

Shot the real thing, it's pure sex 🙂
>Kamov gun camera
Uhh what pixel am I supposed to be shooting at?
THATS AN ENTIRE SQUADRON OF JAPANESE TORPEDO BOATS ANON, SHOOT THEM ALL!!
There are 4 Himars, just shoot them all
It likely comes from SOSNA-U and PNM-T having autotracking capability, which allows the gunner to aim locally on the track
?t=267
it's still BS, aiming low, imagine rounds have spread, by aiming low you risk rounds falling in the dirt.
They have to cope however they can.
turret ring shots with Russian optics? at range?
maybe you know something I don't but normal tankers aim larger targets the like entire turret or side of the hull. plinking optics, hatches and rings are nearly always accidents.
But glorious training sims of War Thunder and WoT taught me I can always just hit them in the weak spot for massive damage like Doom!
irl the TC is going to take over the controls and aim for the fucking side of the hull or turret. SHOOT THE FUCKER
Here is the video

The guy is talking like he's just left a Gaijin warthunder briefing room lol
the fucking delusion
do you think they picked 125mm just so it sounded bigger than 120mm
Despite british coping about it the challenger has proven to be the worst armored Eurooean tank of the big 3 in every trial it has taken part in.
>In every trial thats rigged from the go
>In every competition that includes pistol shooting
When in reality, its got the best K/D of any Western MBT has the longest kill of any MBT and has actually been involved in real tank combat unlike every other tank in Eurocope. Now get back to your bbiathlon gay.
>Longest kill
Different tank
>the challenger has proven to be
>the challenger
Get you story straight
>Tank on tank warfare consists of opposing tanks charging another over open terrain while shooting until one penetrates the other
I'd think they'd try to hide behind cover and bait the other guy to get closer, not play tank chicken.
If Vadim hasn't sold all the elctronics and vanja has cleaned & adjusted his optics then maybe ivan has a 50% chance to hit near enough unless boris sold the mango for a box of vodka and all they got are rusted up soviet 3BM9 rounds
