I want to book time at a CNC machine to make it but I'm not sure if that will get me in trouble or not
They would need to be a Class 10 FFL to make it for you.
You could make it yourself on a Form 1. Need to do the form and register it before building.

That´s an eu thing, and it´s dead in the water by now, no? Current gov includes a lot of interesting ppl when it comes to gun rights. Huh, didn't know about that, but i still don't think it will happen with everyone trying to come up with whatever they can to make it seem like they're doing anything about crime. Also there's the recent magazine restrictions which makes it seem like it's heading in the opposite direction.

It is a shame that it passed, but since they did the same thing with supressors we´re building precedent of buying parts without any registration. I´m not saying we´ll buy everything except receivers like that by the end of this period but I wouldn´t take it as a bad thing from every perspective. There are multiple points about freeing up the trade of parts in the whatever they called it, "gun questions in parliment". If I as a permit holder can buy every single part that fits my gun freely without another permit that´s a win for gun culture I think. We won´t go from the current system to selling guns in the hardware store without a background check in a single step.

What program do yall use? I've used Solidworks, and its by far the best cad program I've come across. Sucks that licenses cost so much. Fusion 360 is a close second that I've been using for a while.
Checked. I have solidworks and inventor through work. Prefer inventor at this point but the two are very similar. Fusion is similar to inventor but with terrible ui and is cloud based if that matters to you.

just make it a 37mm semi auto to be sure. In theory if its just a signaling device I don't see why it couldn't be full auto as it is not a firearm, i may be wrong though.
Yeah, as Ian keeps saying setting up the factory and getting a gun design to run reliably off the line in mass production is the most difficult part of the process.
Yeah full auto afaik, it would have been cool and all but i couldn't exactly hide it under my bed, i was 16.
Also wouldn't be worth the legal risk since i want to be able to keep firearms in the future and potentially work with them. Not to mention being able to travel internationally.
There's some Russian website with cracked versions of Adobe software that has CAD stuff too. If you google "Photoshop crack" or something you should find the site. Not that I've ever used it since that would be illegal.
I'm good, just about to get into studying CAD and CNC proper in the near future and was thinking I'd get to buying and CAD'ing some older stuff once i get good enough for it.

The average pay for it here seems to be 2800usd a month. Though that might be before taxes.
No that's not it, I think I saw the link in a reddit thread about pirating photoshop or after effects. It was the personal site of the guy making the cracks. Really popular.
Once resin is cured, there is very little risk from BPA shedding. As long as you don’t eat the grip or put it in a microwave, you’ll be fine. We also put a clear coat on the grip so even if it did shed BPA, it’s not in direct contact with your skin
Get fusion 360, or pay/pirate solidworks, and take the classes on solidworks, or watch YouTube videos.
I use to use fusion 360 until they cracked down on people using it to make gun stuff. It also has to be on your C drive and connected to the internet all the time which was gay. I switched to solid edge since it's free, isn't required to be connected to the internet, and functions the same as fusion 360. Also they said they didn't care if people used it to make gun stuff.
Any advice on solid edge? I downloaded it after my copy of solidworks started bugging out but i hate. I feel like im beating my face against the wall doing anything and there is way less support online. Solidworks and fusion 360 have way more guides and videos.
What do you use to make them? I just started with fusion 360 and its tricky.
Do you really design every piece by hand or is there like premade models for screws amd springs and stuff?

there are tools
you should follow the manual, making designs more and more complicated as you go
if you want to thread a cylinder, you use the thread tool and it has thread options for any standard
Don't know who you mean here because there are no IDs but if you mean the mg it was done by a mix of measuring and an incomplete blueprint.
I would be very interested in either purchasing or trading the PGM rifle though, never seen one in rl. Where I live the possession files so far is legal (probably subject to change in the future unfortunately but at least right now it is) so don't get the issue.
I see, this is unfortunate. I was hoping for accurate and completely dimensioned models based off prints or TDP's. Sadly there are so few. If there's no bolt, carrier, or feed mechanism it's just a reference model then.

> If there's no bolt, carrier, or feed mechanism
It is complete, these parts have simply been measured with a caliper. Really doubt there ever will be anything else available to you but good luck I guess.
I am having trouble with modeling. Im trying to make a helical gear but am unsure of how to get the tooth to twist properly. This was my best attempt, i drew a 20 degree reference line and used the sweep tool to try and extrude the tooth at an angle but it makes this gap. Ive tried a couple of different combos of twist angles and reference lines and still no dice.
Im pretty sure its something with my pathing thats messing up but im not sure what to try. I was able to make a normal gear so im confident my drawing is fine.
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, sorry. Ive got the gear drawn up with a single tooth, and I have a path drawn at the same level as the top of the gear. Are you saying that my reference line i want it to follow should be angled downward into the body of the gear?
There's also a helical gear tool, but
[...]
this should work
[...]
I just check that site and a few places I've bookmarked from there every once in a while. I don't do a lot of stuff with leaks - I downloaded all of that cmmg stuff but never really looked through it.
I know there's a tool. I'm doing this more as an exercise to get better with CAD. I'm currently not very good.
I was able to figure it out. I ended up just twisting the whole gear instead of just the tooth, which is kind of obvious looking back. If i were smarter i wouldve patterned all the tooth on the 2d drawing and then extrude. I patterned it after and had to merge like 28 bodies.
Nice try, fedboi
[...] >What do you use to make them?
Solidworks
Solidworks does seem popular. I've also got a copy of solid edge but i gave up because theres so few resources online for it.
when making the profiles for the starting and ending surfaces, extend the bottom line/arc into the gear body to force it to intersect completely
this should work
Thanks man. Do you know how to keep up with that leak stuff?
I just check that site and a few places I've bookmarked from there every once in a while. I don't do a lot of stuff with leaks - I downloaded all of that cmmg stuff but never really looked through it.
Hmm, lets say something like 10mm as wel as something like 70cal.
As for powder charge i don't know enough to say.
Notably less so than for smokeless. I am not an expert but I know that there are some weapons who are from before the time where the technology started to gain popularity but shared the same caliber suffered from cracked frames etc. IIRC this is most notably the Winchester 1885 and the Colt SAA
Yeah, have seen warnings about those conversation cylinders and their use in bronze frames.

different guy in the weaponsguild thread posted this which should contain zips 1-10 plus other stuff around 40gigs

Maybe my download got fucked up but a ton of these are incomplete.
Like what good is a not to scale mp7 barrel?
Not trying to be critical and I appreciate the dump.
I'm the uploader. I've been working on a V2 dump which is sorted better and has about 50% more resources in there.
How are you doing pal. Didn't hear from you yet.
spent a bit of time in jail and have been dealing with the fallout
what are you looking for in particular?
Damn.
Mainly step files of unique or complex actions. I like having a model i can manipulate to get a better understanding of how everything fits together and works.
Not that pictures or technical drawings are bad but for the most part i can find those just by googling.
Do you have a rough list whats in there? Ive downloaded a lot of random things that turn out to be jpegs or technical drawings.
Is there SVD stuff in any of those? Spasibo
In the dropbox this anon
posted in /GUN STUFF/3d drawings, prints, etc/SVD Dragunov
what are your plans for release?
i think it'll work best as a torrent
i wouldn't mind seeding a nicely curated dump
Anyone download and scan for viruses?
What program do yall use? I've used Solidworks, and its by far the best cad program I've come across. Sucks that licenses cost so much. Fusion 360 is a close second that I've been using for a while.
Solidworks
I pirate solidworks like any normal person
I'm too dumb, but Student Version is $99/year for two installs, and its full max Pro.
Only thing is you can't export to Full Lic version or to CAM machines or will fuck up that version and need to pay to have Unlocked.
But you can do all the thinking on Student Editions.
If you save it as a step file you can import it into man cam programs
You just have to do a bit more leg work in the cnc programming aspect of things
I pirated Abaqus. Amazing software.
Checked. I have solidworks and inventor through work. Prefer inventor at this point but the two are very similar. Fusion is similar to inventor but with terrible ui and is cloud based if that matters to you.
I designed my own GL which is basically a rip of the MK19.
I want to book time at a CNC machine to make it but I'm not sure if that will get me in trouble or not
forgot my pic
just make it a 37mm semi auto to be sure. In theory if its just a signaling device I don't see why it couldn't be full auto as it is not a firearm, i may be wrong though.
Designing or reverse engineering a firearm does not look too complicated. The tooling seems to be the biggest hassle
Yeah, as Ian keeps saying setting up the factory and getting a gun design to run reliably off the line in mass production is the most difficult part of the process.
>Sweden
>can't just buy an AK from some refugee
Bruh
I got an offer once when I was 16, an ak +100 rnds for 2.5k usd.
Full auto? If so you should have taken it. It's better to have it and not need it, but worse to need it and not have it.
Yeah full auto afaik, it would have been cool and all but i couldn't exactly hide it under my bed, i was 16.
Also wouldn't be worth the legal risk since i want to be able to keep firearms in the future and potentially work with them. Not to mention being able to travel internationally.
https://www.rifleconnection.com/lifetime-membership.html has a shit ton of cad models for $15
There's some Russian website with cracked versions of Adobe software that has CAD stuff too. If you google "Photoshop crack" or something you should find the site. Not that I've ever used it since that would be illegal.
Can you explain some more? I want to know exactly which site to avoid.
rutrackr for example
preciate it
You're welcome.
Looking forward to it, hope you're alright.
I'm good, just about to get into studying CAD and CNC proper in the near future and was thinking I'd get to buying and CAD'ing some older stuff once i get good enough for it.
The only thing that sucks about learning cnc is that the job’s waiting for you after you learn all the information pay less than McDonald’s
The average pay for it here seems to be 2800usd a month. Though that might be before taxes.
No that's not it, I think I saw the link in a reddit thread about pirating photoshop or after effects. It was the personal site of the guy making the cracks. Really popular.
Rutrackr and rsload are the biggest sites. They have everything you need and in the newest possible version.
Anyone have 2012?
2011**
One day I will have my USP frame dimensioned so I can try my hand at 3D printing one
Feed me grip models to make into translucent resin grips
These overpriced grips shed bpa and cause cancer btw.
Once resin is cured, there is very little risk from BPA shedding. As long as you don’t eat the grip or put it in a microwave, you’ll be fine. We also put a clear coat on the grip so even if it did shed BPA, it’s not in direct contact with your skin
bpa turns the frogs gay and is one of the things causing an outbreak of chuds
what about firearms doesn't cause cancer?
Would it work for furniture and buttock on a rifle. See through pink on an ak would be interesting.
Yes we plan on making furniture for the AR/AK platforms. If you have CAD models for furniture it would definitely speed up our progress
Psg1
How do I get started with doing CAD? Its something I have always wanted to learn and do.
Probably YouTube or a class.
Get fusion 360, or pay/pirate solidworks, and take the classes on solidworks, or watch YouTube videos.
>solidworks
Apparently they're really good and ruthless at chasing down pirates.

What’s to stop chinks from just making sand castings of glock frames in pot metal alloys? How can that be any harder than tree-dee printing
Why do you think it is better than 3d printed versions?
In case someone wants to know how it is done
Nice, do you trade models?
Where are these sold?
Made it myself
Very nice. Are you interested in selling or trading?
Nice try, fedboi
>What do you use to make them?
Solidworks
I can pay in Monero.
What do you use to make them? I just started with fusion 360 and its tricky.
Do you really design every piece by hand or is there like premade models for screws amd springs and stuff?
>its tricky.
SSX tricky?
there are tools
you should follow the manual, making designs more and more complicated as you go
if you want to thread a cylinder, you use the thread tool and it has thread options for any standard
Are these just reference models or are these accurately dimensioned models?
Anyone have the an94 files? I heard there's a to scale model out there for it.
do you actually have all of these in full .step or just screencaps?
in STEP
you should post them. pics are really useless
Models can go from 50 USD to several hundred dollars. I have no interest in selling any though, I am only up for exchange or trade.
what would you be willing to trade for. ive got a few
idk but not anything I can freely found with googling because I have all of those.
you have the any cmmg?
I have AR-9s but nothing from the brand CMMG if you mean that. Interested.
yeah the actual brand. drawings and models etc.
As I said I would be very interested in that.
alright sorry, how you want to do this?
Do you have an email. You could put it in
https://privnote.com/
at a time we agree on
sorry ive never used that before, so im a bit confused. are you sugesting i make some note on their with an email at a certain time?
Yes, exactly that
how do we coordinate an time without others watching the thread and intercepting it?
Okay how about you send it to my temporary email.
[email protected]
Then I contact you as soon as I get it with my real email.
sent just now
And I replied
Nerds.
Alpha Group hacked and leaked everything cmmg.
Do you have any link?
Yes, sorry -
Download Tor browser and start at ransomlook.io/groups#Alphv
That will take you to alphv group's page where you can search for "cmmg".
I see about 1.6 gb of stuff indexed. On the cmmg there's a metadata tab with a file tree - I see 867 .STEP files and more than 1,000 .SLDPRT files.
Thanks but I cannot find anything to download there. The only thing that is there are some weird screenshots and that is it.
What kind of education and tools/machines would you even need to make use of these kinds of files?
If you're too retarded to figure that out on your own there is no way you could actually build a gun from scratch
CNC machine, lathe, drill press at the minimum
up
has anybody complete plans for 10/22?
all I found was blueprints for the receiver

Ok I found it thanks. Urgh it is 114GB
You don't have to download it all (but you can) - it might be easier to browse and pick what you want
Thanks man. Do you know how to keep up with that leak stuff?
I am having trouble with modeling. Im trying to make a helical gear but am unsure of how to get the tooth to twist properly. This was my best attempt, i drew a 20 degree reference line and used the sweep tool to try and extrude the tooth at an angle but it makes this gap. Ive tried a couple of different combos of twist angles and reference lines and still no dice.
Im pretty sure its something with my pathing thats messing up but im not sure what to try. I was able to make a normal gear so im confident my drawing is fine.
when making the profiles for the starting and ending surfaces, extend the bottom line/arc into the gear body to force it to intersect completely
I'm not sure I understand what you're saying, sorry. Ive got the gear drawn up with a single tooth, and I have a path drawn at the same level as the top of the gear. Are you saying that my reference line i want it to follow should be angled downward into the body of the gear?
I know there's a tool. I'm doing this more as an exercise to get better with CAD. I'm currently not very good.
https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-create-a-twist-in-an-extrude-or-sweep-in-Fusion-360.html
not quite sure how that software handles this sort of situation, but this is what I meant
I was able to figure it out. I ended up just twisting the whole gear instead of just the tooth, which is kind of obvious looking back. If i were smarter i wouldve patterned all the tooth on the 2d drawing and then extrude. I patterned it after and had to merge like 28 bodies.
Solidworks does seem popular. I've also got a copy of solid edge but i gave up because theres so few resources online for it.
Well done, anon
Thank you.
Its tough coming up with a workflow and learning the program.
There's also a helical gear tool, but
this should work
I just check that site and a few places I've bookmarked from there every once in a while. I don't do a lot of stuff with leaks - I downloaded all of that cmmg stuff but never really looked through it.
any xm8? especially interested in the C model
It is delusional to even ask that.
not the real thing, of course
i expected that someone had already tried dumping the 3d models from some game, i.e. battlefield 2042
Nope, I only have the G36. Only visually accurate, not measured.
>G36
working model already exists, the BB36. pic rel.
again, with less brapper
got links? googling bb36 gives me a tudor watch and uss nevada, and reverse image searching doesn't work
it may still be in beta, look up broken bullets
this is a real g36, not the printed version. iirc the printed version is only in 9mil
i was correct
>https://www.reddit.com/r/fosscad/comments/15t3ssa/short_bb36_alpha_test_compilation/ op is the dev and top comment states it is in 9mm
How much pressure would a black powder barrel need to be able to withstand?
depends on the powder charge and caliber
Hmm, lets say something like 10mm as wel as something like 70cal.
As for powder charge i don't know enough to say.
Yeah, have seen warnings about those conversation cylinders and their use in bronze frames.

just enough to not blow up
Notably less so than for smokeless. I am not an expert but I know that there are some weapons who are from before the time where the technology started to gain popularity but shared the same caliber suffered from cracked frames etc. IIRC this is most notably the Winchester 1885 and the Colt SAA

what do you guys use for reverse engineering?
for me it's ghidra and sometimes gdb when reverse engineering a linux binary
What program are you guys using to study these models? I used to use grabcad workbench before they shut down.
Has anyone been able to download
