Video of battle damage suffered by a Bradley struck with several 30mm rounds. Optics are smashed, gun is damaged, and some holes are present. Apparently the troop compartment was breached but I’m not clear by what or how.

anybody know why some catbox vids play with no video at all sometimes? is it on my end or is it their issue
I'm having that too. Some of them are showing as black screens only. I dunno, maybe it's some slav encoding.
Might be a codec or browser issue or perhaps it takes time to upload fully. OP link works for me.
catbox is generally fucking shit
it barely works on my phone
Get VLC. Phone or computer it will give you the codecs you need.
No but I remember PrepHole not being flooded with tard shill threads that give no background information. Well, there was one or two.
>Obnoxiously loud music when there's clearly original audio in the background
Whoever came up with this needs to be castrated
It's a slav thing. You wouldn't get it.
Like painting the Brads that dogshit ucp knockoff.
I hate them so much
The absolute worst are all the giant-ass watermarks that bounce around the center of the screen, laid over the center of the video. 10 years ago ISIS was making videos with distinct and easily identifiable watermarks, discretely placed in the upper corner of the video, but slavs 10 years later still can't figure it out.
>can't figure it out.
you're right it needs more pixelation.
>30mm
From a BMP-2 or BMP-3?
Armor penetration and accuracy wise there is no difference between 2A42 used in BMP-2 and BMP-3.
BMP-3 has 2A72 not 2A42.
2A72 is ballistically identical to 2A42, they only limited it to 2A42's low rate of fire setting to be able to build it lighter.
or even a BTR-82A right
>gun is damaged
No the gun is fucked
that’s the gun shroud
if the barrel isn’t dented they’re gtg
you have to remember these are ukrainians operating them.
>hurr durr slavs dumdum
History and trips confirm slavs are complete fucking retards.
>trips
Are you really too dumb to understand the meaning of that post, thirdie?
douple konfirmet
probably the other bentley hit it by accidental
>range of engagement not specified
>disposition of opponent not specified
for all any of us know, this bradley engaged 5 vehicles at point blank range and destroyed them all
that's probably not what happened, but a damaged bradley with no other information present doesn't prove or disprove much
I agree the Bradley is better than any bmp I just had that screenshot lying around. Before the counteroffensive people were talking about it like it was some kinda super ifv that was invincible
That's just warriortard spamming shit up.
It's mostly the Russian shills who hype up everything that the west donates. They do this for 2 reasons.
>It's not shameful for your equipment to be destroyed when it's up against the latest wonderwaffle.
>you can act like you're the fucking greatest when you destroy this machine that you screeched was literally God for a month.
Most people from the west understand that this shit was one foot in the scrap yard when we sent it. We're using this conflict as an excuse to clean out our gun safe so we can buy new rifles.
>It's mostly the Russian shills who hype up everything that the west donates
On this board? Not at all. Your welcome to go into the archives and look for yourself especially at the counteroffensive prediction threads.
Most sounded something like picrel and anyone who ended up getting it even half (it will be a brutal slogfest) got flamed. Somewhere back there I wrote a paragraph about how it would be just like the Kherson offensive which was partially correct in hindsight and got like 6 (You)s calling me a pajeet shill/glavset.
I know that nobody who actually knew what they were talking about said stuff like this but 99% of people have no idea what they're talking about
Oh your that one dude which is actually tolerable to talk about "pro" russian and "anti" ukraine stuff about
hope you dont leave
I admit I thought it would do better based on American performance during Desert Storm. Evidently they work better in breakthrough maneuver warfare than slow grinding advances
They've been doing well. Not as spectacular as the btr-4 footage from last year but slow going against mines and trenches is just that.
They're not magic
as far as I know in this war the biggest advantage of western shit over soviet shit is that western shit doesn't blow up when penetrated so it can be hauled back to depots for repair. In attritional fighting this means that the same vehicle can be "lost" multiple times and each time take disproportionatelly more enemy vehicles with it
depends on the distance. A direct hit? fuck no. Glancing hits from 40 meters away? it might not turn into swiss cheese
This is actually why I'm convinced our local Bradley obsessed guy is a Russian diaspora tard. He makes claims about videos that just aren't tenable so when they eventually get "countered" he can male threads like this saying "Ooohhhh PrepHole was saying Bradley was amazingly safe for the crew" and "it can spot enemies and react faster due to being able to shoot on the move!!!" and shit when noone else was saying that made it really all that much more effective than any other gun on a box. We were just saying it was better than a BMP, and it is by miles, but its still a gun box.
Warriortard is quite a bit like Armatard and Armatard was russian diaspora so there's that.
Can't the Bradley side armor plates defend from 30mm rounds? Or is that for smaller caliber 30mm?
This Bradley disguised itself as a Russian Pilot, snuck onto Prigozhin’s plane, and shot it up from the inside, surviving the freefall from 26,000 feet. Have some respect. It’s a war hero.
>no blood in the troop compartment
dismounts were lucky
The state of those optics is a useful reminder that life is not a videogame. Just because whatever your guys are carrying can't penetrate an AFV doesn't mean there's no point in giving it a few bursts.
30mm penetrating from the side is no surprise.
>>you can act like you're the fucking greatest when you destroy this machine that you screeched was literally God for a month.
Most informative video I've ever watched on the Bradley.
>not sure if blood or grease
>Marks another tally for the number of times this goddamn picture has been posted on this board
it will go in the history books of "how not to do armored warfare"
that wasn't even the worst execution of armored warfare in this war; that prize would go to March/April 2022 Russia.
post pictures am curios
He's referring to the completely botched "counter offensive" (attack?) near Vuhledar.
You really don't remember the great PONTOON
Oh yea lmao, that will go in for the "how not to do river crossings" section.
the best part is waiting for ziggers to respond to this one in some way and then you post the full collage lmao.
moron I posted the oink photo of the leopards. you can be interested in the failures of both sides.
BASED Slavgoloidhater
i love them both and it pains me to see this. I hate autistic g*rmans and anglos.
it was a mass artillery bombardment iirc like that recent video of the mech and tank platoon getting blown to bits recently.
>recent video of the mech and tank platoon getting blown to bits recently.
Sauce?
I don't have it saved sorry. Surely some ukie will post it since they loved spamming it a few days ago (maybe last week?). It was essentially:
>3 tanks and 3 bmps drive into kill zone in field
>2 vehicles get hit directly and blow up
>other ones maybe damaged, not certain by end of video
approximately 70 military vehicles
destroyed, damaged or abandoned in one 500x500 meter square
that's the one i was talking about!
was too lazy to dig it up myself, i really gotta organize my files better.
i still want to see what happened here. there has to be footage
It was multiple events. The Russians kept trying to cross that river in the same spot. Four or five separate times I think. Every single time they did this they got spotted and annihilated by artillery that was dialed in already. They just kept fucking doing it though.
source
moron I do not care nearly enough to go searching for articles about some shit that happened like a year ago. Just google "Ukraine river crossing" or some shit and look around.
no
It was heavily documented on PrepHole. If you’re a newfag I’d rather you just killed yourself
It was easily the most catastrophic Russian failure of the whole war, at least as far as individual operations go. Absolutely nothing else has come close, I think they lost more armour than in the entire great kyiv feint
wrong lol
The airfield the russians kept parking choppers and planes at that was bombarded like 4 times in a row was pretty bad as well. I think that was near kherson too?
>4
7 plus times I believe
fuck that seems so long ago. Seems like a whole other war.
Russia will never be seen as a peer threat for a long time. Nigeria with snow seems like less and less of a meme.
They tried to cross at night iirc. There's no footage I'm avare of.
I think there is some, I'll see if I can find it. Used to be spammed by uhgies
the only footage of this river crossing is of some scouts looking at the aftermath
If there is footage it will be filmed with nightvision which isn't going to be publicly available.
>it will be filmed with nightvision which isn't going to be publicly available.
what??
>that wasn't even the worst execution of armored warfare in this war; that prize would go to March/April 2022 Russia.
Are yopu talking about all those un-coordinated BTGs in the East of the country?
no, I'm talking about the blyatzkrieg in the north and northeast
>armored columns stopping in their tracks and then getting abandoned because they didn't bring fuel
>40km supply convoys that can't move because traffic jams
>the tanks that DO have fuel are just rolling into enemy ambushes, getting bopped with NLAWs, and then being abandoned en masse
>Minefields are a danger to (armored) vehicles
>This has been established over 100 years ago
>The knowledge was subsequently lost because it was lost
>The one key takeaway of the War in Ukraine will be "don't drive your tank into a minefield"
If you aren't already receiving social assistance you should apply for it. With your degree of retardation it's approval will be even less of a no brainer than your post.
if this information is so obvious why did they do it? if the doctrine is solid why is isn't it successful?
Because they weren't aware that the minefield was there until they were in the middle of it.
Which is fairly obvious by the way they try to evade/push through it.
This shit happens in war, mistakes are made. Be it on the part of reconnaissance/intel, planning or execution. And minefields aren't a thing were you need to plant every single mine by digging a hole by hand and set the mine. Some mines can be laid down by throwers, bombs or even artillery shells. So the place where a few hours ago was definitely no minefield is suddenly, maybe even while you are advancing, becoming heavily mined.
i'm pretty sure there are...other examples of that whom would actually be used in history books, like that one river crossing russoids tried to do, remember that?
that never happened
and even if it did, it was hato biolab mercenaries against donbas children trying to flee with their babushka
>1 mistake
>this will go into the history books!!!!
do you guys have no self awareness?
if that's what you call a mistake I'd hate to see what you consider a disaster. the whole counteroffensyiv rivals the russian fuck up in terms of how screwed everything was.
>rivals the russian fuck up
If you mean the first great stalemate (April to August 2022), then possibly.
>the whole counteroffensyiv rivals the russian fuck up in terms of how screwed everything was.
I would agree with you if it werent for the fact that russians somehow only achieved 1:1 casualty rate (for visually confirmed vehicle loses) on an attacking force despite it being so "screwed"
so its not as big of a deal as you think it is especially with ukraines more conservative and slow strategy now
>if that's what you call a mistake I'd hate to see what you consider a disaster.
The first few months of the Russia's initial offensive
>if that's what you call a mistake I'd hate to see what you consider a disaster.
Vuhledar, when Russia lost dozens of tanks, made 0 gains, and failed so badly their shills aren't allowed to acknowledge it happened.
Chornobaivka, Kyiv offensive, Kharkiv Izum retreat.
Hardly. Russian Vuhledar fiasco from March (?) would be there first since they lost over 30 armoured vehicles there. Also don't try to forget about that infamous Severodonets river crossing.
>it will go in the history books of "how not to do armored warfare"
The opening blitzkrieg pushes into Zhaporizia were rather a fuck up. But I think you're missing the broader perspective of the war if you think that's what is going to end up in the history books.
So a Bradley was mission killed but repairable, presumably meanwhile the opposing BMP is an unrecoverable ash tray?
That 50% loss rate making more and more sense
ru retarded or something? 30mm ap resistance is noted in front arc only for a3...
Looks survivable. No visible fragmentation marks on the inside.
That was indeed a bad outcome for the Ukrainians. How many equivalent or worse such outcomes have there been for the Ziggers this war, shitskin?
Looks like regular full AP rounds and not APDS or the likes from the indents/scrapes some of those bounces caused.
Anon where is the fucking video I can't see anything in that link
Bradleys are only effective with air support and/or against arabs.
this does not count because.. it just doesn't ok?
>y-you can't just post the same image again!
never stop, I love seeing them seethe
Random question,
Could a barnsley survive tungsten rain from HIMARS?
the way that bradleys just melt rather than burn up always kills me
>recoverable
I guess you never saw the various times the BMDs turn into the T1000
That’ll buff out
no need, the metal has a memory to it. It will just respawn itself
To be fair the 30mm is pretty shit at range
It's clearly intended to be an area denial weapon.
So it was engineered to have such barrel wobble?
No, that was some happy little accident.
The 2A72 mounting on the Russian BMP-3 along with the Ukrainian BTR-4 have stiffening braces to reduce the shitty inaccuracy that plagued the 2A42 installations on the BMP-2 and Terminator.
holy fuck that jiggle, it looks like a fat kid running to get a free hotdog
I wanna say I remember the 2A42 having two distinct rates of fire, effectively a full and fuller auto.
Is that right, and if so, does it have any material effect on accuracy?
>Is that right,
Yes (according to the Russian manufacturer) - low rate @200-300 RPM and high @550-800 RPM.
>and if so, does it have any material effect on accuracy?
If the gun is well enough stabilized and the vibrations are kept in an acceptable range something between not much to the gun disassembles itself under sustained fire (low ammo capacity prevents this).
Looking at the footage above it's somewhere in between and everything that isn't a short burst with a single digit number of rounds should not be considered accurate.
The gun is wildly inaccurate in high ROF
whats the actual point of doing this? this seems utterly wasteful considering you cant carry all that much 30mm
id see this being practical if at minimum an entire division worth of men were hiding in that little area but otherwise it would be nearly 0% chance of hitting within 100m the spot you intended to hit
Best I can think about is (not very effective) suppressive fire. But that's with a lot of ignorance and would be better achieved with more precision.
So it's a show of incompetence that looks cool if you ignore the complete lack of practical usability.
Because the Russian military from the top down is filled with incompetent retards. The top are just politicians who don't know anything about actual warfare and the grunts lack intelligence/training. What you see is the result of that.
https://twitter.com/search?q=bradley%20optics%20damaged&src=typed_query&f=top
Totally organic posting
>no penetration
Didn't realize my wife was fighting in ukraine....
If Putin did nothing his government and his circle of oligarchs are FINISHED. That was the aim of this Ukrainian project. Just because he fumbled the regime-change and failed to pressure Europe loosing the market doesn’t mean he will just give up roll over and die — he’s going to fight until the bitter end in an attempt to salvage the situation. Hope springs eternal etc. Why do I have to explain this?
>IFVs can be killed by autocannons
Shocking stuff.
it would actually be hard to tell if it was the autocannon that penetrated it
the add-on armor is about an inch away from the base armor and its designed to abrade and tumble oncoming projectiles
so non-penetrating hits would still leave holes
and it actually is protected from autocannons on the frontal arc, the side armor protects it from autocannons if there is some obliquity in the engagement
>Open video
>instagram tier copyright free music
I smell bullshit and lots of it in this vid.
What is the mix of ammo on a BMP 2? Do they have a switch to got between AP and HE like a Bradley or do they just mix it on one link?
2A42 is dual feed but on the Terminator they were retarded and somehow made a dual feed gun into a single feed gun which made it necessary to duals with the muzzle brakes interfering with each other.
>Terminator
Did they even make that many? I wouldn't worry about. Seems like some junkyard wars stuff they made with parts they had laying around.
They are lucky they didn't hit the TOW missiles. Those things are the reason these Bradley melt into a puddle.
>things that have never happened
Was this damage likely from APFSDS? I sure wouldn't want to be an American conscript in one of these deathtraps.
The source didn’t say, only 30mm which he infers as a 2A42 or 2A72, both are ballistically identical I believe.
The last time the US had conscripts they were in these.
The whole military was basically conscripts because boomer joined out of fear of what the US Government and its agents would do if they did not comply with the draft.
Lol no you dumb tourist.
These were simple 3UBR6's, WW2 tier solid steel slugs. The crew likely survived since since the slugs have no filler, only a tracer pellet. Flat nosed projectiles defeat armor primarily by plugging, so you have one very large fragment, the plug, with the rest being smaller. The small ones ofter get stopped by the spall liner, so you end up with the plug and the slug itself.
Vatmorons don't field APFSDS for autocannons. Why bother, they are expensive and they've got millions of older rounds, just rotting in some field.
>didn't burn down after exploding into a fireball
What kind of HATO sorcery is this?
Sand in the ammo and water in the fuel tank.
>WAAAAAAH ME WANT KABOOM TEST IS RIGGED IF BABY NOT GET KABOOM!
>Sir, we can't analyze the weak points of the design if the test article has been blown to smithereens.
>NOOOOOOOOOOO BABY WANT KABOOM!
What the fuck was his problem?
He just wanted to kill the project and knew pictures of a burnt out Bradley would be useful on capital hill.
Why the fuck would he care if he was Chair Force?
Political / career advancement.
Instead of doing something worthwhile it's much easier to pretend there is a problem and then be the hero that solves it.
>I'll look into the Bradley program
>it's an over priced deathtrap
>I killed the program and saved millions of dollars and thousands of lives
>I'm a hero
So I guess like Millennium Challenge 2002.
at least millennium challenge actually had some issues in the software and design. The guy was still a little itty bitty piss baby about it though.
>Why the fuck would he care if he was Chair Force?
It's less that he was Chair Force and more that he aligned with the Reformers. Which meant
>High tech le bad
>Multi-role le bad
The Abrams set off the Reformers in general because of the first point. The Bradley pissed them off even more because it was both high tech AND a multi-role transport/combat vehicle. For a reformer that's all they really needed to know that it was a terribad platform.
*Capitol Hill
Anyone got a source on the music?
>here is what happens in your scenario
good that you left out the post anon replied to you disingenuous moron gay
