The Sun technically counts as mainstream media so they get away with posting TZD on youtube and not worry about silly things like "demonetization". And since they have no qualms about reputation they farm views and comments which probably looks really good on the quarterly reports.

literally the only times you can't drink the tap water in America are if you're running off polluted well-water, or something has temporarily gone wrong with your municipal system, like a broken pipe or pump failure that caused line pressure to drop and potentially allow backflow or contamination, plus the occasional local government frickup like in Flint. But if you're in 99% of the US on 99% of days, tap water is perfectly safe.

American tap water is either full of oil because of fracking, full of recycled shit because in the desert, full of lead because detroit, full of estrogen because all women are prostitutes and on the pill, or just plain full of fluoride.

Yes, Dunblane. Hungerford before that in 87 but that was a guy going postal in a village.

Yup and both were mentally unstable people where the Police fricked up and everyone else suffered for it.
Hungerford was some super sperg who went on a spree with an M1 carbine and a semi auto Chinese AK, used the AK for most of it.

Dunblane was a pedo that got caught but the pigs didn't take his guns while on bail or something so he got off murder suiciding children.

If I remember right in Bongland.
Handguns are basically totally banned except some really weird exceptions.
All rifles must now be bolt action etc other than Ruger 10/22 and similar .22lr rifles, so they have a load of AK and AR conversions in .22lr.
Enfields and surplus FALs used to be really popular for normal people to buy cheap.
Shotguns are limited to 3 rounds at once so a cut down mag for a semi or pump, so over unders are the most popular style.

They have a really weird interesting law that gets brought up here sometimes where they can buy an obsolete/antique gun, aka muskets or pre 1900 rifles, think the much older Swiss K31 those Rubin rifles and it doesn't need any paperwork or registration.
The dumb logic is that reloading is so much effort nobody bothers using them.

Wait a minute, I recognize that zigger boat explosion!

It actually wasn't a kamikaze drone, but rather a drone-laid mine. I don't remember when this video was published, but I saved it on May 8th. Interesting note: the program seen in the first part of the video is the Mission Planner companion to the open-source ArduPilot flight controller firmware.

          >drone-laid mine
The boat was destroyed by a naval mine dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle, probably a "Baba Yaga"-type multicopter drone. (Baba Yaga is a nickname given to the big Ukrainian multicopter drones by Russians; it comes from the name of a witch in Slavic folklore.)
          >Mission Planner companion to the open-source ArduPilot flight controller firmware
ArduPilot is one of several software projects which provides code to be installed on a drone's flight controller (a board like pic related, and essentially the "brain" of the drone). Among other things, it receives inputs from the remote and translates them into control of the motors. Mission Planner is a piece of software that is installed on a computer and is used for higher-level control of a drone, to give it directions like "fly yourself to these coordinates". As it turns out, there's not too much difference between software for unmanned aerial vehicles as a hobby and software for unmanned aerial vehicles that can kill people.

            >The boat was destroyed by a naval mine dropped from an unmanned aerial vehicle
            >Drone deployed mines
I know this is not something really new, after all mines can be deployed by helicopters or artillery rounds, but it is the fact that it can be done in a controlled and remote fashion the fascinating part,
            >as a hobby and software for unmanned aerial vehicles that can kill people.
After reading about using google maps to direct air strikes in Northern Africa, it is equally fascinating the idea of using open source civilian grade software instead of bespoke military stuff for something that is clearly sensible. I mean, didn't the ukies had to use their own firmware in their drones just so the chinks didn't sell them out to the russians? Isn't there a similar danger for using things like ardupilot?

              >I know this is not something really new, after all mines can be deployed by helicopters or artillery rounds, but it is the fact that it can be done in a controlled and remote fashion the fascinating part,
Yeah, it's pretty amazing to see all the inventions coming out of this war. Here's a webm of a drone-dropped anti-tank mine that takes out a BTR.
              >I mean, didn't the ukies had to use their own firmware in their drones just so the chinks didn't sell them out to the russians?
DJI drones snitch on their operators by design, broadcasting both the drone's location and operator's location to anyone nearby with an AeroScope system, which DJI also sells. Both the Russians and Ukrainians figured out how to modify the firmware to disable the location broadcasting as well as limitations like geofencing. The Russians call their version the 1001 firmware, I'm not sure if there's a common name for the Ukrainian version.
              https://cybershafarat.com/2023/08/31/russian-hackers-have-ported-firmware-1001-to-the-mavic-3t-and-mavic-3-classic/
              >Isn't there a similar danger for using things like ardupilot?
Community projects won't really have any interest in implementing user-hostile functionality like that, so the risk would more so be if someone tried to sneak in malicious code. I think it would be pretty unlikely to be attempted and succeed with anything useful, though.

            Anonymous

I guess I was wrong, the F405 *can* run Ardupilot. My bad, Anon.

There are dedicated ArduPilot autopilots. Starting price is about $80. Holybro, Pixhawk, PXFMini (frickers), Orange Cube. . . . You can also install it on a BeagleBoardBlue, which is designed to be installed in a drone, but strangely I haven't been able to find a single successful drone project using those, everyone gets it about half built and then says "shit I can't deal with this any more".
