It's well designed assuming your soldiers are 5'8" or smaller, and considering ideal form factor for a modern warfighter is ~5'5" and Guatemalan I'd say it's a good design

maybe 179" manlets but it was designed to be usable for the average guy at the time, we didn't realize how much bigger people would get in the 20th century
I am like 185" yeah I barley fit but my friend who is like a little less than 170" fit with room to spare

I particularly like how if the commander is doing his job maintaining situational awareness and sees a threat the smoke launchers immediately decapitate him.

BMP1 is the worst IFV today, no doubt but when it was introduced it was pretty good. I had a co-worker that fought in the Iraq-Iran war and he liked the BMP-1. Said it was pretty good at getting around and the 73mm gun was good for blowing up pillboxes and entrenched positions.

why did you need to come to a completely unrelated thread and screech about it? why do you constantly bring it up for months and months in the first place?

BMP-1 is basically not an IFV by modern standards.

There is very little video of these thinks actually providing fire support in Ukraine, they mostly seem to be used as APCs in the same way you would use an M113 or an MTLB.

BMP-2 is a huge upgrade with the stabiliser + high ROF autocannon and honestly not half bad, probably a better design than BMP-3.

I've seen footage of Ukrainians with a pompom gun on one of these pompfing Russians sat in the grass while Ukrainian infantry walked alongside and behind it.
      It was OK footage honestly.
Shame you're in this gay thread made by our local homosexual, else I'd have stuck around for more than this post.

    >Pretty sure the anti warriortard makes the lions share of threads and then deletes them after 10 minutes.
Who told you this? Warriortard? Please tell me you are trolling and not that moronic.
The problem with dumbfricks like you always has been that they never really spend a tiny amount of time to look into the topic, but instantly go to toot your false opinion from every darn roof. Or you are just warriortard, then you can frick right off.

The funniest thing to me regarding BMP-1 is that Poles apparently liked this thing so much that once they recieved BMP-2s they literally asked around if they can trade them for more BMP-1s. Still a mainstay in their army to this day, although probably not much longer because they finally found a replacement after 50 years of trying.

bewup was deemed to lightly armoured to be useful as ifv - and as apc bmp1 was good enough - so all modernization programs aimed at improving its firepower were simply dropped

Actually having people drive inside of it.
It's not as bad as some of the BTR models, even if both sides of the Cold War overhyped it like it was some kind of Tiger tank

you can make alcohol in those tanks apparently
