I need this sandblasted and someone quoted me $50, is that reasonable? A harbor freight sandblaster is $35, not including sand

There better be some strong sentimental value in that thing if you're going to attach that piece of shit to your wall
Yeah my dad made and he's dead, so frick off you infected twat
>my dad made
well that explains a few things
I pity fatherless bastards like you.
I pity idiots who can't use the word bastard correctly
I guess your father didn't teach you much even if he was around
If you care, have it done right for the $50 by someone who's both set up and had the skill.
Tell him there's some sentimental attachment and he'll be extra careful.
>harbor freight sandblaster is $35
Do you know how to use it? Have the prep work and box taken into consideration? The PPE? The skill?
Are you ever going to sand blast anything agajn?
yes, $50 is reasonable for a professional to do it.
DIY with a cheap siphon type sandblaster is a lot more time consuming than it might appear, typical home duty compressors are barely up to that task, even in low humidity areas a water trap can spell the difference between just going slow and going slow + stopping to unclog things every few minutes.
Also real blast abrasive isn't just play sand from Home Depot...that may work OK for rough stripping paint but it's inconsistent and heavy and years up hoses and orifices/nozzles, which BTW are garbage in a $35 gun.
where is this from?
Go ask your dad.
$50 is reasonable. That said for $50 you could get a harbor freight grinder and a wire bush and do it yourself in 15 minutes or so and then you would have a grinder and a wirebrush.

Thing is there are spots where you can't get with the angle grinder and it removes a lot of material. I think for 50 doll hairs its a safe bet to have it paint free
Yes. Blasting is nasty.
Pretty sure those $35 sandblasters are horrible, and you may make a mess with it. $50 doesn’t sound bad, unless you plan on sandblasting more in the future, then maybe think about a slightly better sandblaster for yourself.
how about a large container with citric acid and a wire brush?
coat it with paint stripper, clean all that off
then hand sand the bad rust spots,
then prime and paint it
sand blasting that would take forever, and yield the same results
Harbor freight sandblasters suck absolute ASS, anon. Just send it over to someone with a blasting cabinet and have it done correctly instead of suffering for potentially hours on end with that shitty chinesium sand blaster.
glue a shit load of sandpaper onto your garage floor and then attach the creepy sun to a random orbit sander and wah la.
